Lion didn't know her so he didn't trust her because he'd just met her so he told her a shortened version about the old lady and her fried fish.

 

oh...this might hurt a little *she said as she started to pull out the straws* Oh and I know a better place for fish...with no old ladys and straw brooms

 

He bared his teeth as she pulled the straw out and his stomach growled loudly. But instead of accepting her offer he said "I don't think so...I'm better off alone. But I do owe you...so I have to pay you back now. What do you need?"

 

Nothing...but what if something like this happens again and no ones around to help?v*she said as she pulled out another straw*

 

Lion considered the possbility's and decided. "....I'll stick with you until I return this favor...after that I'm gone."

 

ok *she said then she pulled out another straw* one more and I'm done

 

Ok. Was all he said but in his head he was screaming in pain. It really, really hurt. "I thank you again for helping me...I'd like to know your name. If you don't mind."

 

It's Ocean...and yours?...if you don't mind me asking *she asked as she pulled out the last peice of straw*

 

He breathed a sigh of relief because the pain in his shoulder lessened. "It's Lion." As soon as he spoke he almost collasped from hunger and fatigue. No matter what he'd never get his hopes up. "Lets get going to your supposed place of refuge..."

 

ok... do you need help to get up?

 

"No." He lied. Taking a deep breath he waited for her to lead the way. "After you."

 

ok *knowing he was lieing but thaught it was best to let him do as he wanted* you know all stray cats have to look after each other *she said as she walked*

 

He smiled but hid it...she was persistent. "I'm looking after you and only you till my debt is paid...after that your on your own with the other strays."

 

you know now I know you when your gone I'll be worried

 

That made Lion stop. Is she lying...? Doubt began to spread so he shut it down. "So you say." Never get your hopes up was his motto.

 

No it's true one of the other cats had the same happen to them and they've been missing for 18 months now...I just hope she's ok *she said stopping and looking at Lion*Why do you think everyone's against you

 

"Cause when it all goes down...you're your only friend." He stood still and looked up at the moon. It's full...just like that day... He said to himself.

 

what's wrong *she asked also looking at the moon*

 

"Nothing..." He lied again. "I was just wondering if we're there yet?" Lion tried to change the subject not wanting to remember anymore of that day.

 

yah it's just up the street *she said starting to walk again*
