So this is pretty recent and is making a ton of Canadians rather upset with the old "U S of A".

I seems that Mr. Gutfeld is really starting to feel the heat, as much of Canada is rightfully outraged. And the fact that he said this all on a day where 4 Canadian soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan were brought home...

Obviously they were never taught about the war of 1812...

Ok, what I see here is that this show is more comedy than news. It's a way for an established news source to let off some steam in a way that makes people laugh, and for once, they're not obsessed with fucking political correctness.

I applaud these guys for being brave enough to stand up to the uneducated American general public. These guys are playing to a more educated crowd - one that understands humor and sarcasm. I mean, really, no offense to any Canadians out there, but does Canada really have anything worth the lives it might cost to invade? I mean, maybe economically, or hidden natural resources (oil, etc), but nothing worth taking the risk on. Most of Canada isn't even inhabited.

Mmm, you hit the nail RIGHT on the head. Cause as we all know, Fox News is full of intellectuals and rebellious comedians.

    lol

Yeah, even though I would believe you if you told me this was done by Mad TV, I think the fact that it's Fox News is proof enough that it's real. I just didn't think they could get this stupid. It's supposed to be an "edgier" and "lighter" show, from what I've gathered from other clips, but that doesn't mean it's better. I laughed so hard when he said "the most powerful country in...the UNIVERSE". I swear to god, I've never seen self-satire as good as this.

Even so, people like this are far from helping America's image, and it would be best if they shut the f*** up :D

This wouldn't exactly make most of the world happy with US. I'm not exactly thinking it was the smartest thing, and it makes me look bad along with other peeps.

    Wow...

    Are we really THAT conceited?

Well, I'd really hate for America to be represented by Fox. xD

No, WE aren't, THEY are XD

In seriousness, I do really hate the guilt by association. As much as I like this country, it's annoying to be looked down upon because I have to share it with people like this >_>

I don't even see them as conceited. Not really. They were basically doing a comedy routine. They were not consciously saying "hey, let's be as conceited and condescending and offensive as possible", they were throwing that "political correctness" bullshit out the window, and saying things that I think most of us would say privately if we heard that a country was shutting down it's military.

I understand that it was the wrong time, wrong place, etc., but privately, I applaud their bravery in standing up to the uneducated American public and saying "We don't need to follow political correctnesses stranglehold on America!"

I am going to disagree with you on this. They may be saying that they don't need to follow political correctness or whatever, but that doesn't mean they can be tactless, they should still show respect. The point is that they aren't in private, they are out in the public being viewed by a **** load of people and they need to realise that they can't say whatever the hell they want. Sometimes it isn't about political correctness, it is about respect. Whether they intended to be offensive or they were just doing a "comedy" routine is besides the point, they should have thought about the consequences first.

Also I would just like to point out, uneducated does not mean lacking in a sense of humour and the ability to understand sarcasm. Some things just aren't funny.
