Eventually, Anthem and Reqiuem, with Veera in tow, arrived at the tower. Reqiuem sat down inside and tended to his injuries gently, while Anthem, making sure his friend was alright, continued inwards.

"Good day to you too, Jayce" Ashleigh responded, internally scowling but remaining expressionless on the outside "I actually have very little to answer for, I'm not the one who let the murderer of our brethren go right home, along with her friends" Asleigh didn't turn to look at Jayce, simply staring through the window. "This is... I'm sorry I've forgotten your name... she wants to talk to you about peace. I'm not optimistic about the results. Now if you'll excuse me" Ashleigh briskly walked away. Once she was absolutely sure she was alone in the ship her expression turned to anger. She smashed a fist into the wall in anger, and breathed heavily. A moment later she had regained her composure.

Once his vision had recovered, Ran gasped as he saw what he'd done. For a moment he just stood with his mouth open, then he suddenly shook his head and licked his lips, trying to discover a way out
"You sure?" he asked "You can't have kept track of all the random chicks you've been with, right? I mean, I haven't" he tapped his feet nervously, aware of the horrific situation he was in. Xanatos Reaver, he was sure of it. He'd seen pictures of the legend. "I'm your illegitimate son. Ransak Reaver" he attempted a brisk bow and waved his hands vaguely, the gesture could have been interpreted as anything "Hey dad. Can you help me get out of this ship? Safely. Please"

"Greetings, Varraki" Timothy nodded his head "I am called Timothy Chesterton. This is Ms Kala" Even though this was a desperate situation, he couldn't forget his manners "Lead the way, my good man"

Veera didn't say another word as they reached the tower. Requiem settled while Anthem went inside, and Veera hesitated. Alpha was still upset at letting the girl go, and surrendering. Don't stay with these weaklings. We're better off finding a stronger pack, a better pack. Veera grimaced, pressing a hand to her head before shaking it, trying to get rid of the shadows and voices in her mind.

"Uh....thanks for watching my back." She muttered to
Requiem before following Anthem in. Her human half had responsibilities, and that meant she needed to report on the threat that was even now on its way to join the opposition.

Kala turned her face against the hard metal of Timothy's chest and closed her eyes, listening to the whirring and clicking that was occurring inside, giving her robot friend life. "Nice to meet you." She muttered into the robot, though her sentence was directed at the Andalan. What she really wanted was to simply sleep.

Ms. Spooks' PoV: Ms. Spooks nodded at Ashleigh's comments. Before she could respond, however, a man burst into the room. An outburst from both sides occurred, ending in Ashleigh storming off. "W-Wait...!" She was too late. Turning to the one she assumed was Jayce Reaver, Ms. Spooks bowed courteously. "A-Ah, excuse me, Mr. Reaver, I presume. I am indeed here to ask you about peace, but perhaps now isn't the time...? Oh, and how rude of me! I am Ms. Spooks. It's an honor to meet you."

The Andaran Prince took note of the names of his two travelling companions, finally names to go with the faces. Whether it would be a long stay or not was not for him to know right now. "Pleased to meet you." The Prince replied in kind as he lead the way towards where the shard camp was that he had been refering to, telling a little bit about himself as they went and when they asked about him. The journey towards the camp went off without a hitch and they soon arrived at the camp of the Shards of hope, they had already been seen approaching the camp and a small patrol of people had been sent out to meet them. Demanding why they were here. As the Prince introduced himself and explained that his two companions wanted to join the Shards. The leader of this small patrol verified some things with his superior and after their identities had been verified for as far as that was possible, which just meant for himself. They were told they should be headed for the main encampment of the Shards because they were an unusual assortment of people and apparantly the Leader might be interrested in speaking to him. They were then guided to the aforementioned main encampment, where the soldier reported to his Captain what had happened, who they were and why they were there. The Prince himself still didn't really want to participate in this war but if the leader wanted to talk to him then so be it, he would hear whatever the man would say, make a consideration and then either leave or stay. This wasn't his war to begin with all that needed to be done had been done and he was done.

With his conversation with the good Captain done and plans made, the Inheritor straightened his coat and looked out of the window, checking the reflection in it. Yes, he was presented as usual. Everything was perfectly detailed. The hair was sculpted correctly, the uniform crisp and the expression cold and detached. Just the impression that he needed to give. He left his office and locked it, then Jaden summoned his guard. Despite the presence of several competent individuals, he was not wiling to be without his own personal guard in case they were called elsewhere. It paid to be prepared. Which I wasn't at Sky Tower. In future, self-destruct mechanisms will be installed into facilities in order to deny them to the enemy. Jaden and his troops marched swiftly to the cells where they were met with the sight of Aster on his kneels before his sister, nursing a wound. She looked infuriated, and seemed to be glaring intently at him. His mouth curled into a half smile. So, someone has earned Carissa's ire. Somehow I think that she will have a battle of wills that she will not easily win. May she not give into his undoubtedly incessant flirting.
"Get off the floor Surananayan. We have an interrogation to conduct." He barked. He glanced at Carissa, who nodded and gestured for him to get up. He looked to the complement of guards he had with him. "Four outside the cell block, two outside the cell and two inside the cell with us. No risks. This is Jayce's famed assassin we're dealing with. Carissa, open the door."

Carissa nodded submissively at Jaden's orders and approached the cell door. She looked inside through the window and noticed something - That she wasn't in sight. She couldn't actually see her.
"Prisoner is out of sight." She reported. "Expect an ambush or escape attempt. Don't let her do so. And someone bring us better restraints."
"That won't be necessary. Just ensure that she doesn't escape." Carissa nodded, not daring to question Jaden's orders. She hit the opening mechanism and the door swung open. The Huntress stepped inside and scanned the corners for any sign of her. Her hand immediately went for one of her knives, the one that Zahariel had picked up for her in one of his more charitable moods.

Aster was given the instruction to get up from Jaden, and obeyed before Carissa gave the okay. Jaden was higher up than Carissa, so he was the key to by passing her authority over him for that day if needed. It seemed that the time had finally come for the interrogation of his sister, that should prove fun.

Aster followed the the cell where it was revealed that his sister was not in sight. Of course she was going to try something, he shouldn't expect anything less from someone who shared his blood, even if she was the evil one who was lesser than him in every way. Aster kept his lance in hand though it wouldn't do much good in a small space like this, it was still good to have.

    Aster stepped in behind
Carissa glancing around the room, it seemed empty but he doubted that she could escape already, unless they never got Rose into the cell, but then is should have been reported. Aster scowled as he looked around trying to figure out where his sister was hiding. He really shouldn't have underestimated his sister, even if she was just a damn hammer head. "Be on guard." He told everyone as he began to walk further into the room looking for evidence where she might be.

Rose listened to the muffled talking on the other side of the door before the door swung open. She remained still in the corner beside the door as several people including her dear brother shuffled in. As much as she would have loved to go up behind him while he was completely oblivious and strangle him, she had no time for that. Rose watched for an opening at the doorway before silently and slowly moving towards it, taking advantage of her chameleon abilities, blending into the room around her as she moved. She kept herself pressed against the wall, and kept small as she headed to the door and almost out if she could.

"He was elated to be going in to see the Prisoner. You could say he was, fired up."

Onamakritos smiled as they were preparing to go into the cell. "I'll be ready, Carissa. If she does try anything, we'll give her a warm welcome." He was then crowded by Carissa and Aster. He muttered to himself under his brief about his person space. Aster was a little bit creepy, and he didn't want to be around him. He was pressed right against the wall as they went inside.

"And with this, the Prince felt his thirst for blood extended past his normal hunger-"

"What the-" Suddenly, as the Prince had been writing, he knocked into something invisible. Easily spooked, he shot a large fireball at whatever had been in front of him, big enough that anything clinging to the wall and in front of him would have been burned.

Theodosia crossed her arms sternly. "May I make the suggestion, Commander, that next time that girl, or anyone else on the ship has the mere audacity to speak to you in such a disrespectful manner that you take care of it." She spoke to Jayce as calmly as she could, but she couldn't have helped feeling protective towards his honour. "I'd rather not see you being humiliated in order to bring down the other's respect of you. And with my pen I'll let this whole spin know, if they decide to swing at you they better not miss, they better have another punch to throw."

Champain, the lord of Champagne, appeared in the prison cell. He absorbed the fireball, moved Rose about an inch to the left and then rewinded time by about five seconds. He then disappeared in a cloud of mind-erasing dust.

    David's pov:

He watched Carissa open the door to the room Rose was in. Saying something about not being able to see the girl. He watched Onamakritos go in the same room as Carissa along with Aster. She let out a sigh. He could not believe how stupid these people were. Just leave the door wind open for Rose to escape. It looked like he was going to have to do things on his own again. Surprise, surprise. He then walled by the cell door pushing the door control botton to close the door then put a dark magic spell over the door way to the cell, so that nothing could get out of the room in case some how the door did not work. She is still in there." Why was it that the shards could not see how stupid they were? "She does not have any weapons, so just make your way around the room until you find her."

The great form of Xanatos first turned to Kalak, before glaring at Ransak's comment. Was this swine daring to question his sexual exploits? He could count the number of bedroom dominations on one hand, and was about to tell Ransak as such... before realizing that probably wouldn't be his smartest decision.

"You were not sired by me," Xanatos replied, "nor would I name you my son if you were. However, it would appear you've chanced upon the transdimensional communication crystal I gave to my son... along with my old Xanahammah. Perhaps you would care to return these items, before I unleash my true powers."

He discretely signaled for the guards to beat up Ransak some more.

"I have no concerns as to what Ashleigh thinks of me," Jayce replied to Theo, "she might be a spiteful *****, but she still must answer to my command. As must all Demi Gods. Speaking of which, I trust the others survived the battle?"

He only glared at Sophia, preferring to stitch up his wounds himself rather than rely on her healing magic. It was only then he realized the tree was talking to him.

"Ms. Spooks," Jayce nodded to her, "I am Jayce Reaver, Commander of the Order of the Hammer. It is a honor to meet you. As much as I would enjoy peace, it is an impossibility. The Shards of Hope oppose everything I stand for, and seek to dispose of my kind. There is no possibility of peace with such people."

Ashleigh blinked, and recieved a telepathic report from Anthem and Requiem about everything. If only it was this easy communicating with everyone. She pressed the earpiece to her head and rang Veera. This was going to be an interesting conversation "Veera... status report" She briefly instructed "I'd like to hear your version of the events"

Timothy carried Kala gently as they followed the prince, he had made her a cup of tea on the journey and gently laid it in her hands. Then they had to meet the Shards, there were a lot of people here "Do not worry about all these people, Ms Kala. I will protect you"

Right. Decision time. On the one hand he could give up the items and be left in the ambiguous hands of this demigod... or he could risk life and limb just to keep these items. Obviously the latter was risky, unsafe, and all round stupid... **** it. For a moment, he held out the hammer reluctantly... so this was it. The grand heist was over.

    NOPE

Suddenly he turned around and swung the hammer straight into one of the glass windows, smashing it open. Without hesitation he jumped straight out of the window and held the crystal and hammer close to his chest. The air rushed past his ears and the ground came ever closer, it was such a dangerous thrill. Welp. Too late to turn back now
"Right, Mr Crystal dude. The ground is getting closer. If you don't save me we'll all smash to pieces. Hammer. Crystal. Me. What'll it be?" a wild fire danced in his eyes, this was the greatest risk he'd taken in a while, and he was loving it.

And I'd like for you to shove it up your a- Veera turned and pressed her forehead against the cool wall, shuttng her eyes and taking a deep breath. "Hush, little one." She sang softly under her breath, the old lullaby calling forth memories of gentle times, with soft blankets and warmth and sun. "Don't cry, little one." Alpha protested, ramming up against the barriers she was slowly putting up. "Sleep with me, little one." She whispered, opening her eyes and staring at the floor as the wolf inside finally quieted.

Battles had been her antidote to the mental poison, keeping the bloodthirsty beast at bay by slaughtering enemies. But just like a drug, her tolerance was slowly rising. How long before she turned on her allies? Gently banging her head against the wall, clenched her fist and drew it back to punch at the wall, needing a release for her frustration. Just before her knuckles hit the siding, she stopped and sighed. Getting upset would only free Alpha faster. She needed to go see
Ashleigh and get this over with. Then maybe focus on barricading herself in her room until she was called to fight.

She trudged up the stairs, accompanied by a headache and aching jaw from clenching it too hard. Stepping into the same room as
Ashleigh, she stood at attention, ever the soldier. Alpha would have sneered at her obedience. "The female was too much of a threat to let escape. I pursued her in order to keep her from reaching the enemy, or otherwise harming our allies. I engaged the girl in battle, along with a robot companion that seems to accompany her.

"She transformed into something I have never witnessed the likes of when
Requiem harmed the robot. The injuries sustained to most of his armour are from her. The rest are from the robot, which also appears to be programmed with fighting abilities, though he seemed to be doing his best to simply calm the girl. I found an unlikely ally in a passerby, who performed a calming ritual. Somehow, it managed to transform the girl back into her human form, but at that point, Requiem was too injured to engage in any more combat, and I was forced....no, I chose to let her go. Anthem arrived to help Requiem, and thus we arrived here."

She narrowed her eyes. "I understand that my actions had consequences on others, and I shall not endeavor to repeat them." At least, not when you're around to have me followed. Veera, for once, agreed with Alpha's sleepy voice. It was a mistake to let the girl go, and if she had been alone, if she could have been quicker, she could have taken out that...monster, before the
    robot had ever arrived.

    "Is that all?" Veera asked
Ashleigh, keeping her gaze averted from the other female. "I have to find out how to contain you until I want you out." She told Alpha, who growled quietly, but didn't outwardly rebel.

"Don't forget you let one of your pack fight your battle for you. Take injury for you." Alpha sneered softly, the distaste more then a little obvious. "At least I did something. You couldn't even be bothered to help Requiem back. Useless." Alpha yawned, curling up in a corner of Veera's mind. "Let me know when you're ready to act like a true wolf again. I have no use for cowards."

"How can there be so many people in one place?" Kala muttered to Timothy, pressing her face away from the humans and into Timothy's chest plate. It wasn't the most comfortable of positions, but it kept her from having to see the strange faces and hear the even stranger noises. This is bad. You're not supposed to be around people! They'll lock you up, poke you, prod you! Kala wrapped her hands around the randomly produced teacup, biting her lip. She had no memory of being around other humans, so where did these thoughts come from? These fears?

It was the same voice that had appeared to her in the darkness, calling her back. Who are you? She wondered, peeking up at
Timothy for security. What do you mean to me? Why are you in my head?

    "
Timothy, we shouldn't tell them what I am. Let's just lie and say we got lost." She hadn't thought of asking the same of the bearded stranger, and cursed her absentmindedness. "I'm scared." She whispered, trying to pull more of her hood over herself as if she could disappear in the swathes of cloth.

"I see. Thank you for coming Prince Varraki." The captain of Jaden's personal guard stated, seated behind a desk with Varraki and his companions opposite. "I apologise to ask this of you, but you will have to wait a while to speak to the Inheritor. He's a busy man, and is currently undertaking an interrogation of a high value enemy unit. I assure you, that as soon as he is done with his duties then he will be happy to meet with you. To your friends who have sympathies, we will be happy to accept you within the army. Although, we will have to ask some questions about your companions. We will escort you to some quarters befitting of your stature if you wish, Prince Varraki." He eyed the large construct and the woman that it seemed to be protecting.
"They will of course have to be questioned first. Rest assured, we accept all kinds in the Shards of Hope, we just need to know who we're dealing with exactly."

Jaden saw David swoop in and close the door. He looked at him sharply, for he had just cut in front of him rather disrespectfully. However, the Inheritor nodded to him approvingly.
"A most prudent course of action. Now then, we shall wait for those inside to apprehend her, and the situation will be under control again." He folded his hands behind his back and waited for the events inside the cell to resolve themselves. He had confidence that Carissa could handle whatever was going on. She had killed Demi-God, albeit from ranged. She had trained with the Blackshards to some extent in melee, so she wouldn't be incompetent. And it could provide that Prince who thought rather much of himself a chance to prove himself actually useful.

Rose was careful as she moved around the room, but her slow careful steps caused her to not be able to escape. One man in the room showed some shred of intelligence and when noticing she wasn't there, or at least visibly there, shut the doors. It wasn't like most of these idiots hadn't seen her powers earlier during the battle, so it wasn't surprising that they thought of that, it just took them a while.

Being locked in the room it was inevitable that they would find her, so may as well reveal herself in a way that could do something of use. Rose kept silent as she snuck around the room, finding her way closer to
Carissa. She was well known as a Demi-god slayer, and it was time her title was retired. Making her way behind the girl Rose make one quick movement to wrap her restrains around Carissa's neck, revealing her form as she attempted to strangle Carissa.

Aster watched the door shut before walking over to a wall and leaning against it. "Face it sis, you cannot hide forever. May as well-" Aster stopped when he saw something appear around Carissa's neck. Well she was no longer hiding. "So that is how we are playing it?" Aster stated as he stepped towards his sister and Carissa, bringing a knife up to cut the ties from her hand. It was the quickest way to get her to stop strangling Carissa, however now she was not bound. That being said with the amount of them there were, taking down one girl who had no weapons shouldn't be impossible.

It was impossible to see, but there may have been a moment where worry would have crossed Xanatos Reaver's face. That the trans-dimensional crystal, the only form of communication with his heir, would be destroyed. That this ******ed quack was going to blow all his plans to smithereens. All because Jayce had forgotten to lock his room. His grand scheme, built upon a mountain of corpses and decades of work, reduced to nothingness...

That was before Xanatos realized the airship had yet to depart. Ransak had jumped from the window to the ground, a distance which measured approximately 2ft.

The Demi God struggled not to chuckle (he didn't do that anymore), as the thief faceplanted against the ground after attempting to utilize blackmail. With the humorous moment over, Xanatos waved his hand, binding Ransak to the ground. So long as the thief didn't have any sneaky tricks, the spell would keep him routed to the spot until the guards could take him into custody.

"Surrender," Xanatos told the thief, "it is imperative that this crystal remains on board The Valiant. The fate of the universe depends on it... and you not receiving any more broken bones."

"Oh shut up. You pretentious prick" Ransak clicked the off button on the crystal. He probably should have checked how high the fall was before jumping "Ransak Frisk never surrenders" Unfortunately he was still rooted to the ground. But that was hardly a problem. Clicking his heels together he activated the Boots of Sand and sunk beneath the earth, reappearing a few metres away, covered in dirt. After that, he began scurrying towards the Shards of Hope.

She felt Rose attempting to strangle her and she immediately forced herself backwards to slam the woman against the wall. She turned around when they hit the wall and spun, putting Rose's back to the group now.
"Get her!" Carissa shouted, trying to wrestle the woman into keeping central.

Kalak, who had up until this point been watching with an amused smirk on his face launched off in pursuit of Ransak as he ran away. The Demi-God was aware that the man was now escaping with some highly valuable artefacts. A communication crystal with Xanatos Reaver himself... He was interested now. He'd ask later. However, there was a problem. Kalak was further across the room than Ransak, and he was slower to react because of his wounds. They were healing, but they were still fresh. By the time he got outside, the thief had disappeared.
"Well, that's bad. I suppose I'd best tell Jayce." Kalak re-entered the Valiant and headed to the bridge.

Onamakritos jumped to attention quickly as Carissa was now being strangled by the prisoner. He could use his magic on her, but he didn't want to hurt Carissa in the process. He would have to do it the old fashion way. He did a run and slide at Rose's waist, attempting to tackle her.

Theodosia nodded. "Yes, of course they did, Commander." She replied. "The commander is right, peace is not an option. If it ever may become one I must say that it would be nothing short of a miracle." Theodosia spoke briefly and curtly. "Sir Kalak Vasher, I give my best greetings to you. I hope you have rested sufficiently after you fought so bravely in the battle. Is there anything that we can assist you with?"

The Andaran Prince had lead his two traveling companions to the shards, where they wished to be. The construct and the succubus were supposedly sent towards the common rank and file and he had caught what Kala had said about her true nature. He doubted these people grasped the full extent of what it mean that she was a Succubus or fully grasped the concept, then again while he understood more about this, he didn't know the entire truth either. He figured fear would spread like wildfire among the soldiers, fear of something they didn't understand.

So apparantly he was to wait on the leader of the Shards and he had the option of being escorted to some place alledgedly worthy of his stature, he didn't care too much for grandeur. So he politely declined the offer, saying a normal quarters was more than enough for him to wait in. Then a rather mysterious
figure approached, clad in elegant robes, a hood obscuring his face and magnificent sword. The figure looked him and his companions over then turned to the officer. "Are these some of the new recruits?" Zahariel inquired, his voice one of power and seemingly coming from all around. Varraki did everything he could not to fall to his knees and pray to the gods to have mercy upon him.

Zahariel had returned from his meeting with the Inheritor, the Avenger program sounded rather interesting and the so-called problem of how to get the artifacts when he told them not to touch them and without having to move him about had a rather simple solution, he would get them if the situation allowed for it. He was on his way back to his quarters when he spotted some new faces with one of the officers. He went over and inquired if these were newcomers. He could see the fear in the eyes of the man. "Fear not, I mean you no harm. I am lord Zahariel" He introduced himself, the man introduced himself as Prince Varraki Andar, if this prince turned out to be as briliant as the other one they had on board this wasn't going to work out for Zahariel personally. "What is it that brings you here?" Zahariel inquired and the Prince explained that his companions were looking to enlist with the Shards of Hope. "And what about yourself, what do you want?" The Andaran prince remained quiet for a moment and then said "I do not know, I do not wish to draw my people into this war, it isn't ours, I may leave again to my homeland. I may join, I will make the decision after I spoke with the Inheritor. The Hammers have tried to persuade us to join their side, but the Andaran Highlands wish to remain neutral unless safety can be guaranteed for my people." The God had quickly figured out that he wasn't dealing with someone similar to the other Prince, atleast not on the first impression but hey that was still a good thing. The Ancient God then turned to Kala and Timothy. "Who are you and why is it you wish to join us?" He had sensed there was something abnormal about the girl but wouldn't pursue it, after all she seemed rather afraid and shy. The machine seemed more talkative, but it still seemed like an odd recruit to have on board.

Kala peeked out of her hood, looking at the passersby with blue eyes that shimmered like sapphires. Having fed recently, she didn't feel the need to attack any of these people, but the voice, the solemn stern voice in her head had told her, shouted at her with fear and anger that she was not to go near people, any people, anywhere. Funny, she didn't hear the voice now. The other man had decided to remain with them, leaving her with conflicted feelings. On one hand, he had been quiet, and seemingly kind. On the other, he was a person. And bad things happened when she was around other people.

    Instead she heard a
voice that sounded like thunder, and she squeaked, grabbing her hood and yanking it over her head in an attempt to hide. When that didn't feel sufficient enough, she clambered out of Timothy's arms and resorted to hiding behind him, her hands tentatively touching his metal elbow, shaking as she beheld the strange figure before them. He spoke like a person...but he was not a person. He was something scary, something beyond her. And yet she felt drawn to him by the dark whisper that sleepily called to her. No no on ononononoono. She pushed it back, pressing her forehead against Timothy and doing her best to remain as small as possible.

"I want to go home." She whispered. Home? Where is that? Whatever it was, wherever it was, she wanted to be there, instead of here.
