I've got a neat mechanic that I want to eventually work into a proper video game, but I need to be able to test it as soon as possible so I can work out the kinks. This pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha will basically involve you creating your character's stat sheets and then role-playing table-top style (using post IDs as dice) to advance through some sort of placeholder story that I'll have written. More details when I actually have them written down.

    Anyone interested?

Interest acknowledged. I'll start working on a spreadsheet to track stats and stuff pretty soon.

Okay, now that I'm sure there are people who are interested, I may as well kind of explain the mechanic that I have in mind. The whole thing is based on elemental affinities as character stats that interact with one another, so I'll need to work out how I'm going to organize it all. So far I'm testing it out with two opposing elements subtracting from each other and that's not working because they're just equaling out. I may have to sacrifice streamlined-ness for something more difficult to read. I'll figure it out, though.

    you've piqued my curiosity

also, as far as elements go, three or more seems fine -- like Pokémon starters

    Awesome.
Yeah, I've got six in mind, but I'm doing all of my tests with just the two so that all I'll have to do is expand when I have the formulas worked out.
    Ooh! I'll get the crayons!
