Forever Dawn

Lake was standing next to him, her dress was mainly white but with a delicate and feminine bead design on the corset style top in a pale shade of pink. She clicked her white sandal's heels together as she took hold of his hand. "It'll be fine you know, you were like one of the most popular people so it's not as if you have much to worry about in the end." She said supportively as she looked up at him, the cold breeze coming at them across the lake fluttering her dress around her knees and her hair was swept back into the twilight sky.

 

"i suppose i was before i went a blew it all by grolwing at someone..."he said "but whats done is done...they're gonna ask questions though...can you see my scar? is it bad?"he hated people staring at his scarred eye

"Stop worrying!"Maddie said,her arm around Antony's waist,she was wearing a bright blue dress,matching her contacts,the colour of her old eyes,even if she was wearing loads of make-up to make her look human,she looked more beautiful than she did before...but not as inhumanly beautiful as she did when she was a vampire, it was clear she'd made a effort to make herself less pretty tonight,she had half sucseeded.

 

"Well, you can see it. But it looks fine, makes you look more grown-up I guess." Lake smiled. "Now come on, no sense putting off what you can't avoid."

 

fine..."He sighed,taking her hand he walked forward

 

Lake smiled as she fell into step with him, squeezing his hand gently.

 

he grinned"whoa...so weird walking through those doors..."he said looking around.."Nothing's changed..."

"it never does...you gotta love this place.."Maddie said

 

"Cept the staircases, they like to change all too much." Lake giggled as she took in the sights, the sounds, the scents, everything. It wasn't like she'd missed the place, it was just strangely nice to be back. Nostalgic, and if nothing else it was the place that had brought her and Mickey together for the first time. And to her that was best thing that had ever happened to her.

 

he grinned

Mickey?"

oh god no...dont let it be her...but it had to be...he remebered that annoying voice...god why'd she have to be the first one they saw?!"hey Jasmin..."he muttered

"it is you."she said,her eyes flashed to Lake,then back to Mickey.

"show off to her.."Maddie mouthed to Lake

 

Lake looked a little lost for a moment, it wasn't as if she'd ever had to know how to 'show off' before. She'd spent most of her life learning how to remain unseen. So she just decided to make it up as she went along.

She looked around for a moment as though she hadn't realised that there was anyone looking at them, at her. Then she ducked under Mickey's arm so that his hand was on her waist, after a moment she looked up and 'saw' Jasmin. "Oh, hi Jasmin. Long time no see." She said, her voice sugary sweet and dripping with venom disguised as pleasantry.

 

she looked back at her,a false smile on her face"Hi Lake...its been too long....oh! i didnt know you were going out with Mickey..."

"yeah well...we are..."he said he seemed to tighten his grip on Lake

More."Maddie mouthed"really annoy her!"but she gave a thumbs up anyway

 

"Oh we've been together for a while now, around five... no six years I think." She said as she wrapped her arms around Mickey's waist. "I can't believe it's been that long, seems like so much less." Lake said, making sure to stress the words she thought would really get up Jasmin's nose.

 

"oh..."

maddie grinned

 

"So what about you? What have you been up to?" Lake asked as she rested her head against him.

 

"engaged to Timmy Mc Laggen."

Mickey turned his snort into a cough

"Is your sister here? i havent seen her in years!"

 

"Interesting choice there." Lake whispered to Mickey with a hint of giggle in her voice. Before speaking to Jasmin again. "I think she's around somewhere. Guess you'll have to look."

 

he snorted again"yeah...just look for the tiny blonde next to the tall bronze..."

"Tall bronze?"

"Antony..."

 

Lake nodded. "You'll recognise her when you see her I'm sure."

 

"right...see you around..."she said turning

he grinned

 

Lake looked up at him and grinned back.
