    Not really?

It kind of can happen because every one separates and some realize they were only friends because they were forced together. Though the part about ditching all your friends for some gal, losing them all because you graduated, split with the girl, and then were lonely makes sense. Didn't happen to me, but I can see it being a factor.

But yeah, who cares, learn to make friends outside of school.

I was the only one in my circle of friends to continue education. Everyone else either got a job or had a kid and signed on to the dole.

Oh Scotland, you keep Jeremy Kyle in a job.

No, not for me. I picked good people who I got on with a lot and we've been through **** and have come out together, still. We picked up stragglers along the way, sure, some stayed and I couldn't imagine our group without them but some were gone, but they left us not the other way around. We don't meet all the time because of Uni and distance, but Summer is magnificently fun.

Depends on how much time you invest in the friendship, much like any relationship.

For me it was pretty much Senior year for my whole school life, and even now. But that's also because I keep moving, and I'm fine with one or two friends. Made a bit of friends in California, but since that was just for a year, I don't count it like most would, with being around them all the time

Not really. I'm inside most of the time anyways, so there's no difference.

It depends. I had a group of four good friends when I graduated and ended up falling out with two of them. But even if the ones from high school don't stick, you've got Uni/college and work to find people.

People that leave miss out on what could've been, but there will be others who'll make what will be.

There are 4 people that I continue to hang out with for the last 18 years, however I met them in elementary.

    Sorta kinda this.

I've known this one guy since 1st grade and we talk regularly despite not having been to the same school in four years. I'm already starting to forget people from high school which I'm perfectly fine with.

Well, because I kept moving schools, I always had a group of friends, but I was always falling out with them. I graduated high school with a mad bunch of friends though, even though the rest of my grade was just horrible.
