Oh, what can I say that isn't already in the information provided on the page?

I spent two days on this drawing, and surely, it was a frustrating work.
This is what happens when you want to give a surprise to a very awesome person. Hopefully, you all, including Katy, enjoy this drawing.

I love this picture! I really can't comment much on it, to tell you the truth. You made all of the little details just right. It's great!

 

I can tell that you really took your time on this! I saw it and I was like "Woah." As ILoveRikuAndYouCantStopMe said, you did get all of the little details right. BTW I really like the hair!

Now that you mentioned the eyes I would like to comment on those. They totally popped. The colors that you used for them was the perfect choice. The proportions are also very, very well. Also, I must say that I am quite jealous of you. I would love to be able to draw like that.

It's literally a bit rough around to edges, but the effect looks good everywhere except the hair where it look ever so slightly odd, but there's nothing really wrong with that.

 

It's not smooth enough around the edges. Other than that I like the design alot.

Dude! This is seriously the best work of art I have seen from you! <3 This is some pretty damn smooth pixel line art, it gives the drawing itself some class you know? Especially with how little you needed to add, so unique.. So goddamn lovely, be proud of yourself.

I'd give critique, but I have nothing on it. XD Looks rather good, and I like the sharpness of the hair and skin - if you think the hair may stand out too much compared to the eyes/nose/lips you could always try adding a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit of highlight? I dunno, looks pretty awesome the way it is. Did you use a photo of her for reference? I was kinda curious, it'd be interesting to study the original thing and your result.

This is actually not Katy Perry. It is a picture I stumbled upon through my history of folders that kind of reminded me of Katy Perry. No, reminded me of her completely.

So, I thought over the picture a bit, perspective, position, angle, then, I use a sheet on GIMP to mark down all the colors, and then started drawing. Rough drafts, three different versions of the drawing itself, and two days of exhaustion later, this is the result. :3​
