Dropped my PSP when we were leaving my aunt's, and I guess that's the last drop it could take. It turns on and my memory card is fine, but it won't spin discs.

Thankfully, new ones on Amazon are $99.00 and it's Christmas time.

why not take this is as a sign to get a Vita? it can play digital downloads of most PSP games anyway.

Seeing the title in What's New made me flashback to the days I used to read that site. Dark times indeed.

Also, second the recommendation for a Vita.

More expensive? When I got that PSP, it was $199, but now I can get a new one for $99.

And I can't find my Game Boy Advance's charger, and if I can't find it before we go to my grandma's for dinner later, then I'll be bored... FML

Uh... 99 dollars seems like a bit of a rip off. I don't really know about PSP prices outside of Canada, but they've been in the more 60 dollar ranges for a few years now
    And that's for a 3000, the 1001s are like 40 bucks

Well, they were $199 when I got mine a few years ago.

Edit - 10:35 AM (PST): Looked at my Amazon history. The one that broke, my first one, was ordered on November 10, 2009.

Edit - 10:41 AM (PST): My bad. The first one was $169.99.

Another point can go to the Vita tally. Having a PSP is nice, but I wouldn't pay $99 for it just to play old games. Personally, I'd rather get the Vita, invest in some multiplayer titles and wait for the PSP to get cheaper (or get the 1001 model).

Well, it's already been ordered. In addition, I was smart and this and this were also ordered. (The first one is especially useful.) They were a Christmas gift from my mom, although I paid for part of shipping, handling and tax with some of my money.

What happened was that we were at my aunt's yesterday and when we were leaving, I was hot, so I took my sweater off, which is like this one, off. Then we left and were heading toward the car, I was cold. I put my sweater on, but I got backward, so I went to fix it that and when I did that, my PSP, and I think the car keys as well, fell out of the front pocket -- the only pocket -- and landed on my aunt's deck.
