I loved the game the first five times...

Then i played the rest of the games before X. I found a huge fondness for older games growing after that. Call me old. :P

Is this whole Expert Sphere Grid new to the HD remake? And what's the point in it? Basically you stick with the one portion of the sphere grid most people stay in anyways since they don't feel like going 100% on that thing?

Honestly, Expeort Sphere grid is only worthwhile for specific builds and challenges. Each character is HEAVILY based around their preferred class, so if you want their overdrives and Celestial Weapons to be any good you'll need to stay on their specific grid anyways, and honestly the Expert Grid isn't very good for staying on the beaten path.

Yeah, I went in thinking it would just be a more difficult version of the Standard Sphere Grid. Now that I've found out otherwise I'm regretting that decision.

I haven't even gotten to the sphere grid tutorial yet, but I'm too lazy to start over. I am going to LIVE WITH MY DECISIONS!

    lmao...

I think I restarted five times my first game. (And yes, I was a moron when it came down to it with FFX when I started.)

Oh yeah, here's a hint: If you find most of the Celestial weapons: DON'T DELETE YOUR GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, here's a plus, on the off chance you got for the platinum trophy, it's a bit easier on the Expert Grid, because that grid has 80 fewer spaces. I'm pretty sure this also means you can reach the end of each character's grid and start to REALLY customize your characters slightly sooner.
Anyways, pro tip, get steal for Kimahri. Somewhat late in the game there's a mini boss you have to fight with him alone, and Level 3 Key Spheres are the common and rare steals from them. At that point in the game that's REALLY good

You can find most of the celestial weapons without a problem, it's actually activating them and making them useful that gets to be the annoying part (most specifically the Chocobo Race and 200 lightning dodges [and for me the butterfly chase])

The Chocobo Race I spent three days slamming my head against the wall trying to get the challenge done. Blood and tears... T_T And I never did the lightning dodges right... T_T But that Chocobo Race still haunts my dreams.

I cried when I accidentally deleted that file.

You did it faster than me. It took me probably around a week, if not more. I gave up on it for a while, and went back to it when I got near the final boss. The lightning I got to maybe around 150, but I get really bored trying to keep count, or if you blink at the wrong time, you lose it, so I just gave up. And I mainly only used Auron, Tidus, and Yuna anyways. Got my 2 heavy hitters and healer right there

The only thing that bird was thinking was "Wait, I've got to turn around and hit him!! I haven't made his life hard enough!!"

WHY WOULD I DELETE MY SAVE?!

Wonderful! I'm glad there was something right about my horribly wrong choice!

Just remember this: If you ever let someone else play your game....Make sure they save in slot 99 or at least slot 3, and they think before they push that X button.
Trust me, I've lost many saves to my older brother because of that.
