Kingdom Hearts First thoughts...

Man, Kingdom Hearts was the first game that I got for my PS2 on That Fateful Christmas...I'm just wondering what peoples first thoughts were when they got this game.

My first thoughts were mixed.... I originally thought it an old game I had played a LONG time ago... but much to my delight it wasn't... it was a whole lot better... (though I do remember wondering why we couldn't just play as Mickey and be done with it... [I was already using his sidekicks and his sword]) :gunwtf:

 

I remember when I had first seen it on a friends PS2.
It wasn't a big deal to me till that epic "palooka" scene. Then I got more and more into KH, and when I got a PS2 I played it more.

 

My thought were "Oh another disney game."
Then when I saw some pics of Final Fantasy characters and something I dreamed of in like the year 2000 (Something like a keyblade) xD I was like "Im getting this game."

 

I pretty much thought it was great. Mainly because I was getting KH2 for my birthday, like the following day or so. My, attraction came from KH2 actually. I remember liking the music, strange thing was, that I remembered the song (Simple and Clean) from somewhere before. Guess the song just sort of stuck to me from old commercials.

 

Haha! xD It feels good to remember about it. Well the first game I played from the series was Kingdom Hearts:Chain of Memories. Then my best friend gave me Kingdom hearts (I) and I was really into it. I liked the game , story and all. But my favourite thing about it was....THE MUSIC! This magnificent melody , and Utada's songs ( I didn't even know which ones they were by then). It was the thing that made me so addicted about kingdom hearts.

 

Lol, I love the music so much, I went and bought EVERY SINGLE KH SOUNDTRACK. KH 1, KH 1 FM, KH 2, KH 2 FM, and KH Re: CoM soundtrack, all for 50$.

I was like Disney and Final Fantasy? Are you serious? Then I starting watching my friend play it because I didn't have a Ps2, but once I got it, I went and got Kingdom Hearts. Loved it ever since. I'm actually thinking about getting a Ps3 so I can get God of War 3 and KH3.

 

My first thoughts about Kingdom Hearts was "WT...F? Why would you make a game with all other games and DISNEY characters?! DISNEY CHARACTERS! OH DEAR GAWD, WHAT IS THIS!? Hmm...I think I'll get it." I just didn't like the idea of a wee boy going around killing things with a giant key, to save some princesses, with Goofy and Donald as his sidekicks. Changed my entire view on this once I actually played the game. xD

 

I razzed this game so hard before I played it. I was like others were here. Disney and Final Fantasy mixed? ungh... I made jokes, mocked the hell out it and then I bought the game for 20 bucks at the same time as I bought FFX because some friends were like 'really dude, check it out!'.

It's sad that I started playing FFX, got about halfway through and was bored out of my skull... so I popped in KH and ended up playing the game through in 2 or 3 days time and then replayed it. Hearing about it and playing it were definitely two different experiences.

 

I saw the advert for KH 2 and thought, ''That looks so weird...but the musics good...'' So I tried to buy it to find out what the music was called. They only had the 1st one, so I bought that. Then I played it. it was good! So, I got the 2nd one for christmas!

 

Having grown up with disney, I had quickly learned that while the movies were great, the video games were not. But I had heard that Final Fantasy was good, so I decided to check both of them out. I bought KH and FFX at the same time and my mind was blown by both of them, although to this day I prefer FFX.

 

My first thoughts of KH were "Oh, just another game..." and then my friend told me it was Square-Enix/BVG and I was like "Oh! Now I'm interested!!" just because it was Square-Enix and I grew up on Final Fantasy and Disney. But I didn't play the game until I'd made a few AMVs of it for my buddies. And when I did play it, I loved it.

 

i thought you played as the disney characters and i thought Alice was gonna kick butt along side you




totally dissapointed

 

i was 6 or 7 when i saw the commercials for it all i could think of was
"Pretty colors and disney with a spiky haired girl! SWEET!" -__-'
then i got it for Christmas and fond out that sora was a boy and the game was great.

 

First Thoughts.

'OMG WTF, HOW FAR HAD DISNEY SUNK NOW?!?!?'

Second Thoughts.

'OMG THIS GAME ROCKS!!!'

 

I went to a friend's for a birthday party. While some of the guys were seeing who could burp the loudest, two were huddled over the tv. I watched as they played KH. They were at Traverse Town. I was like, "WTF? who's this loser with Donald and Goofy?" I thought it seemed dumb. 5 minutes of sitting there and I was hooked. I pretty much dragged my dad to the GameStop right after the party.

 

Got it on Christmas with my first PS2. Played it. Couldn't get past DI. (xD) Hated it. A lot of months later a friend got me to play it, to beat it. I did. Loved it.

when i first played it i remember thinking the inrto was really great and that thing where you spend the first 5/10 minutes on the big glass pillar things was pretty cool~

so i kept playing it ^__^

Then i laughed.

Then i was bored, so i decided to buy it. :lolface:
