Square-Enix First Final Fantasy game you played?

Mine was Final Fantasy X and still remains my top Final Fantasy ever since. <3

After Kingdom Hearts is when I actually got hooked onto the other games for the past ten years. The most recent one I have played was XIII-2, from about many months ago.

I am hoping to get War of the Lions in the near future, though. Been wanting it since ever.

Final Fantasy XIII... Well honestly that is the first one I actually finished...
Final Fantasy III DS was the first I ever actually played.

 

FFXIII is a good game. No reason to laugh at you for it being the first one you finished.

 

It is laughable because I was so late to the party XD

 

It's astounding how many people never actually played the series before it went 3D (not that there's anything wrong with that). I think I'm really one of the few people here who knew about it before it got really famous.
For me, the first one I played was FFII US, as in FFIV. We had imported it and I used to watch my brother play it all the time, so I gave it a try myself and while I never finished it, I really enjoyed it. Second one was FFIII US (FFVI) and that one I actually finished.

I was way late to the party, in fact I played Kingdom Hearts 1 before any of the Final Fantasies. It's odd because I had the systems to play the earlier games and would have loved them, but I lacked anyone who knew anything about them to get me started back then.
The first FF I played though was VII, I think it'll always be my favorite because of that. Then I played VIII and I was about halfway through IX when my playstation derped and lost my memory. I've played a few spin-offs and I'm going through XIII right now (not the best, but I've wanted to try it nonetheless), X is the one I'm planning on starting when I get some more time.

 

You should finish IX if you haven't. I'm playing through it right now and I love it. I've also heard its great.

 

I've never finished a Final Fantasy... Ever. :c
I always get so wrapped up in the plot I rush between places and don't level enough, get half way on pure luck and can't get further without about 6 hours of grinding xp and give up because I get bored. XD

First game I ever played was XII though. And I do love it, a lot. Despite the fact everyone always seems to want to hurt me because it's my favourite. I just like the look of it, and I like the world-story. Not so much the storyline, but I love the background story.

 

FFVII for me. Bought it way back not long after it was released. Then after that it was VIII and then IX. Went back and played VI, which had the free X demo and bought X the same day. xD

 

So many late bloomers...

Final Fantasy VIII, around the time it first came out.

 

The first one I played was X. I never owned a Playstation or a SNES or NES, so I never got to play any of the earlier titles.

 

9 then 7 then 12 then dissada I think finally 13 then 8 .

 

If we're counting spin-offs then it would be Dirge of Cerberus, didn't even know what it was.

The first one I played was FF VII when it came out on PSN. I downloaded it on my PSP.
I played it for about 10 hours and didn't like it so stopped playing.

The first one I completed was Final Fantasy on iOS, though the first one that I played seriously was FFXII, still haven't finished it though.


Of course my first exposure to the series was in KH.

 

My first Final Fantasy was FFXII
It was actually pretty fun for my first game of it. Enjoyed it a lot and the battle style and maps were pretty fun. I didn't finish it for some time though.

 

My first was seven and from there I went along with the newer releases. I actually do own 1 and 2 but I have never got round to playing them.

 

FF8 demo. So it had stuff in it that was changed/taken out for actual game. Then the first game I actually played that wasnt a demo was FFX. I bought it thinking it was Kingdom Hearts, since the cover had Tidus in the ocean, I thought it was Sora in destiny islands. I dunno how. I was young. FFX still remains my favorite one and one of my favorite games.

 

Final Fantasy IX. I was at my friends house and she let me play. I got to the part when Tantalus crashes in the forest before I had to go. It's my favorite one thus far.

 

No hating please. Final Fantasy XIII-2. I was told it wasn't a good game to start out on, but that's the first one I've played. I will say the graphics are stunning.

 

And that's about all that's good about XIII and XIII-2.
