First Fall of Crimson Snow

Alyssia inhaled deeply, thinking of which would be a better idea. "Well, maybe we can just find the others for now and then see what happens after that," she suggested, shrugging her shoulders a little. She felt very little raindrops hitting her body as they walked. She raised her head up, seeing the leaves and branches of the trees blocking most of the sky now. She lowered her head once more and tried wiping her face with her hand. "Whichever you think would be best."

 

Kendra's heart dropped as the question rang in her ears. 'Family...?' Kendra opened her eyes, looking straight ahead while debating on how to answer that. "Hiding is what I've been doing since I was born... Family that are alive...? No. My sister and my mother were both shot when the R.N.A came to get me. My father disappeared when I was fourteen. He probably isn't alive now." Kendra said last bit almost bitterly. If he wasn't alive, Kendra would've thought that was good for him. He's the one who disappeared when the family needed him the most. If he didn't leave, her mother and sister would probably still be alive.

 

Kendra didn't know if the treatment Scott received was good or bad, and she didn't know if she should ask. She continued to look forward, not looking at the other boy. And hunting for the others... was it for good intentions or not? So many questions floated across her mind, but none of them came out of her mouth. Instead, Kendra looked at her arm and started to pick at the crude wrapping, wondering if Sinder was still there or not.

 

"alright then thats sounds like a plan" Seth said as he nodded his head. "so can you sense anybody near by" Seth said looking over at Alyssia, his hair in the way of his vision. He had gotten fed up with pushing the hair away from his eyes and with it still raining, his hair would just keep on covering his eyes. His hair was more of an annoyance then a problem

 

Alyssia slowed down her pace and briefly closed her eyes. She soon opened her eyes, and turned her head to the right. "Over there," she said, feeling two fairly close by. "I'm just not quite sure if they're one of us." She slowly began walking in the direction she felt the people's presence. Alyssia then spotted Kendra and Scott, but came to a halt. "Have you seen them before?" she whispered towards Seth.

 

Vaugn had walked far into the forest an sihed when he realized that e was lost. He blinked whn he saw a Sth and Alyssia up ahead. He hesitantly aproched them. "Mmm...h-hello?" He said rather quietly he said as he looked at his feet. The male was rther sh around people.

 

"Have it your way," the dragon girl said to the two.

"I will go now."

She started walking off towards where the smoke had originated and disappeared.

Only the vague outline of her footprints could be seen in the mud of the forest.

'If they need help, why don't they just say yes? I can give them safety, but oh well, it's their choice.'

She continued walking casually till she saw Seth and the girl, and walked up to them.

"So what brings you to these nick of the woods?" she said jokingly. A smile crossed her face.

"Your name is Seth right?" Sinder said as she made herself visible once again.

 

Seth looked at the two ahead of him. He remembered Kendra but had no idea who Scott was. "I met that girl around the time I escaped but I have no idea who she is with" Seth said and suddenly prepared his dagger and sighed when he noticed Sinder "yeah thats my name" Seth said to Sinder and looked at Alyssia "thats the girl who I was talking about earlier. the same one that the others went with" Seth said

 

"Yeah, stupid R.N.A. got me," Sinder said as she pulled her shirt away a little to reveal the wound on her shoulder.

"The others have dispersed, they choose not to hide with me anymore. I am here to offer any assistance if you need any."

She looked at them all in a swift gaze.

"If you do not need any help I will leave.

I will lose no sleep over you."

The words rolled off her tongue with a roughness to them.

"I have warm and dry places to stay. These places have medical needs, food, and water..."

She trailed off and waited for the trio's response.

 

Vaughn blinked when he figured she was talking to him. He looked at hs feet again, and frowned. So far he had been sleeping in shacks ad such like that. 'Maybe I could...but how do I know...' He sighed andstepped forward. "Yeas, I accept your help." He said. As he looked her in the eye.

 

The base had quickly returned to normal; order was needed so that others wouldn't escape as well. The guards were harsher, the kids were restrained to their rooms for the rest of the night, and Ren could feel the intenstity and worry coming off from the ones who ran the place: can you blame them though? The higher-ups will have major punishment in store for them if they screwed up any further.

The black haired female had gone to each of the escapee's rooms to inspect their belongings and take something of theirs; who knows when a scent sample will come in handy and she was the type to try to get into the minds of her targets. After that she went outside of the camp. To her back was the prison of steal and cruelity and to her front was the wilderness, and in it were ones on her side, most of which perferred to work alone, and these 'special' kids who will probably go down fighting before letting her take them back. Basically it was filled with wild animals. So be it. If it was animals she was going to face then an animal she was going to become, only she was going to think every step of this through. However, she wanted to see if any special forces came back this way and get information from them before heading out. She sat down and her empty, green eyes scanned the forest's edge carefully. Even from here she could smell the smoke as it came and went.

The dragon-girl looked directly in the eyes of the one in front of her.

Her eyes glowing with intensity.

"Ok then, you will come with me."

She turned to the other two.

"Will you come?"

 

Kendra groaned softly, letting her chin fall to her chest in frustration. She didn't want to move. She didn't feel like moving. Maybe if her arm was numb, she would be willing to. "Where to?" Kendra asked tiredly, not standing up just yet. She would sit for as long as she could.

There was a sudden click of a gun and two shots were fired towards the group. Nets were flying towards the group, ready to encase them and trap them inside. Whether they escaped or not was how fast they could move.

BIC: Stephan let out a cry as he was stabbed and another as he was thrown back by Luke's headbutt. He growled as he staggered to his feet, and managed a laugh. "Heh...clever...I wouldn't've thought of keeping a knife in my sleeve," he said, holding his arm for a moment. "Y'know, if I were a lesser man, I'd run right now." He smirked. "Unfortunately for you, I'm not!" He lunged at Luke again, claws out and aimed for his throat.

 

Sinder had heard the click.

Within the instant the click of the gun came, the-dragon girl moved as fast as lightning to the others in her group.

She could only move this fast because of her dragon powers, useful in many situations.

She grabbed all three of them and moved into the depth of the trees.

"I guess you're all coming with me," she joked.

Then she turned all of them invisible and disappeared into the cover of the trees.

She left no footprints due to the fact she was running so fast.

 

Alyssia opened her mouth to speak, but soon closed it and turned her attention somewhere else in the forest. She felt someone was close. She narrowed her eyes, but they soon grew wide, seeing several nets coming towards them. "Run!" she shouted, turning towards the group. Before she can make her own reaction, she felt Sinder grab her. She looked towards Kendra and Scott, but they soon disappeared from sight. She looked around the area, her eyes filled with fear. They found us...

Vaughn gasped silently as he was grabbed. He blushed lghtly. He hadn't had contact with anyone since he was hiding from the R.N.A. He tried to look at the trees whizzing around but everything was a blur and he started to feel dizzy. "...Ugh...getting dizzy..." He mumbled weakly to himself. Th boy closed his eyes waiting forall t to pass quickly.
