Photoshop can be a bit tricky once you first start out. Which version do you have? As for the icons, good job for your first bath. Try to lighten a few of them up like number 2 so the text become more visible. Also, make sure you choose high quality images because that's important. Look up some textures and effects that you can use to bring the icons to life a little bit more. There's sone great tutorials on livejournal that'll take you step by step since Photoshop is annoying sometimes. Good job Rayku. :3
