Dr. River Song.

NOOOOOOOoooooo...

 

Sometimes I feel like the only person who hates River Song.

And then I come on KHV.

 

I hated her since day one. She is a Sue. The pain...

 

Does her character have any depth?

She is what would happen if some girl made a perfect version of herself with nothing but a few catchphrases and inserted her into a fanfic. She is a gimmick character.

"The Doctor's wife."
"Amy's daughter."
"She knew everything about him."
"She was in jail for killing him."

And so on.

Somehow this fanfic made it to the writers.

I honestly believe this could explain it.

Hope you enjoy season three though, that's if you can put up with Martha :)

Also, have to agree 100% about River Song. I loved her first episode. Every time I saw her after that she annoyed me more and more, so now I just dread episodes with her in. ¬¬

Is Martha really that bad? I realize she's no Rose, but...

Personally, I'm hoping River Song dies soon. Preferably painfully, but I'll take what I can get.

 

I like River Song. Not love, she is an interesting enough character not to bore me, in the sense that I don't have to think too much about her motives and so on. She's there, for the same reason in a group of friends there is someone there, whether they have depth or not.

At least now that we know all that we need to know about her. Hopefully she'll spice up a bit more though now tha we know her character history fully.

Martha is not bad, but I didn't think much of Rose in such a way as other fans.

 

Can't you just post all this Doctor Who **** in its own thread in Movies & Media instead of flooding the Spam Zone with this dumb show?

 

I, personally, cannot stand River Song. I admit she has her moments, and I respect your opinion, but I just find her really really annoying.

No opinion on Martha yet, but I rather liked Rose.

I like River Song ;-; I think she's epic...

Also... I know... series 3 is good but series 4 is better in my opinion. I also don't mind Martha Jones at all... >.<

 

I have not disliked any of the companions so far. Only River Song. And she is pond scum, they should have cut her out early on. Or gotten a better actress, or something.

 

Woah, so is it the character or the actress who plays her that your annoyed by?
I can only say that she needs more to step up as a full companion, but she's a part time companion so she does her job well enough.

It is probably a mix of both. Not only is she a Sue, but she is an smug and therefore ugly Sue on top of it. She is not a good actress. None of her serious moments appear genuinely serious, and she has no funny moments either.
