Marissa heard the familiar sound of a chainsaw and her heart literally skipped a beat. Thank god! Someone decided to give her a hand. A smile began to take shape on her lips and she swung the baseball bat at another nearby zombie. "I'm over here Columbus! I don't know what happened. They just kept following me! I'm heading farther down this street," she called out to him. They needed to get rid of all these zombies before turning back to the bunker. They just didn't seem to stop coming. A cold slimy hand made it's way onto her shoulder and Marissa shoved the pistol into the abdomen of the zombie behind her without bothering to look. There was a loud bang as the gun fired and the monster stumbled back.

She shoved the gun back onto her hip and took another swing with the bat. The blast had given her just the opening she needed to take out the zombie, but would only attract more in return. At this rate, she would never make it back, but Mare was thankful Columbus had come out to help her. Maybe they could get this finished with quicker. All they needed was to clear out the few more in the area and take off before anymore caught sight or smell of them. Her arms were tired from swinging the bat so much, but she needed to hold out just a bit longer.

Skye sighed out with relief and let her shoulders finally relax against the operating table when she heard Hawkeye was just fine. She could sense that Terra was done operating on her and slowly began to sit up. Her head spun as the blood rushed to it, but she blinked rapidly to control it and then let her legs dangle off the table. She looked over at Terra in her woozy state, giving a slight smile. "Thanks Cross, I owe ya one."

She then glanced down at the stitches, adjusting her arm so she could see it better. "That's gonna leave one awesome scar. How many stitches this time? Six? Seven?" She grinned, letting her arm relax before rubbing her forehead with her good hand to shake off the wobbly feeling. She wanted to get back on her feet again. Skye knew her team was in trouble out there and not everyone was safely home yet. If she had to fight with one arm, so be it. She could do it. She trained enough with Grey and the others to know how to handle sticky situations.

"You can pay me with some bullets or something, that'd do." It was said in a joking tone but she was rather low on ammo... Which was another reason why she opted to stay behind on this supply run. Good thing too, as it seemed to have gone south mighty quick. However, the moment after she said it she felt guilt. "But you know I don't require anything in return for my help, I do it just because it's what I'm here for."

Looking around she saw that there were still some people missing. Low on ammo or not if they were going to go out looking for the others she was coming with. Better than waiting around here any longer. "Enough," she said, looking back to Skye about the stitches, still in a joking tone. Still, hopefully it would be enough and she wouldn't ever have to path anyone up again. Though that was just a dream...

Columbus was relieved to know that she was still able to fight. He knew she was one of the better fighters in their group, so it would be a disappointment to lose her. He swung his chainsaw again, attempting to create a path through the bodies. The herd seemed to be dwindling, but they kept mindlessly surrounding him.

"Right, you better hurry," Columbus called out. Another quick swing, another trio of decapitations. He couldn't allow himself to get too thrilled about fighting off the zombies at the moment. He still believed in his reason for fighting, but he also needed to save his energy.

While Alex was upstairs looking to see if anyone else was on their way, he saw Columbus run out of the bunker. Using the scope of his rifle, he followed behind him until he saw Marissa fighting a swarm of zombie. Even though Columbus was assisting in the killing, he knew that they could use some more help. He perched his gun on the ledge on the window and began focusing on some of the zombies around them. Within minute, some of the zombies around them started to fall due to a headshot. One by one they went down, hopefully giving Marissa and Columbus time to make a run for it.

"More bullets? Got it." Skye gave Terra the thumbs up with a grin on her face and then tilted her head as a thought came in her mind. "You know, I can just teach you and anyone else who's interested how to make them... That is if you want to."

With that, Skye hopped from the operating table and on her feet, walking to the boarded window in the room. She took a peek outside through one of the cracks, hearing the zombies growling and howling in the distant. She was worried about the rest of her team, but the instinct to go help them suddenly faded off. They needed people here too. If everyone capable to fight left the base, who was going to help the remaining folks maintain position? No, she was going to stay behind. That's what Grey would want her to do. Besides, there was a distinct sound of a chainsaw roaring in the distance and shots being fired overhead. The people on the outside had enough back up to get back to base quick enough.

The young girl sighed out, turning to face the others. "Alright, back to business. We ran into a huge hoard of zombies on our mission run. The others are trying to shake off the ones that are following them, and I think the others went to go help. Meanwhile, we're gonna keep a look out and make sure none of them get close here and be ready to fight."

Her eyes drifted to the floor where the dunked sniper had fallen and she rolled her eyes. No one bothered to move him off the floor... Oh well, he was probably more comfortable there. With the stitches in her arm, Skye couldn't risk lifting the heavy dude off the ground.

Marissa nodded swung the bat in the face of another zombie. She heard a thump noise as four zombies quickly dropped beside her. But how? One of the snipers? It must have been. Mare used that as her opening and moved closer through the street to Columbus. She found the sound of his chainsaw both bothersome, and soothing. It would attract attention, but it was quieter then a gun shot. Plus, it meant she wasn't fighting alone anymore.

She could definitely do it alone, but it was safer in a small tactical team. Marissa lighted the bat up high like a club and slammed it down hard on the top of the zombie's head. Without Columbus's assistance, and whichever sniper was blasting down at them, she may not have made it back. There was a slight gleam in her eyes and a smile played at the corner of her lips. She was tired, but bashing zombie brains had become an enjoyable past time. Would there ever be a day when they no longer had to fend for their lives and fight monsters? "I could kiss you right now," she shouted over to him, "but that's just not happening." There was still a definitive smile on her face as some zombie guts buffeted her chest and she stepped beside Columbus. Great. Now I need new clothes. Nat could use some new clothes as well. I'll have to make a run tomorrow.

Columbus chuckled at Marrisa's remark. It made him think of his wife, how the two of them would joke around. There was a slight smile on his face, thinking back to how life was before the outbreak. Even now, his wife was his drive to keep going, to make her death mean something.

"Let's head back, yeah," Columbus said as he saw the zombie numbers were dwindled to single digits. " The snipers always complain they get no action anyway." He cracked her a reassuring smile.

To make her own bullets? Well that certainly would be more useful, and she wouldn't be taking Skye's time away. So both won in the end. "Okay, I'm your student then." What an odd word to say these days...

After that the young adult moved to the nearest window to peek through an opening in the boards. Going to the roof would make things easier to see, but she would be needed down here. She even had her own makeshift operating table ready to go with supplies needed to fix up most wounds. It would simply be a matter of waiting now.

    "How many are out there?"

"Right." Marissa nodded and slowly began to move back to the bunker. The snipers only pissed her off. They were always complaining about not enough action. She would gladly sit at home all day and take hits at unsuspecting zombies rather than be out in the field fending for her life. They were annoying and when they pulled crap like Nikolai, it only irks her further. It didn't matter if he was a capable fighter, he was putting everyone at risk tagging along drunk.

Grey needed to do something about, but he hadn't yet. She sighed and slammed the butt of the bat into the face of a close-by zombie. They were nearing the bunker. Was everyone finally back? Mare hoped so. She was exhausted and wasn't in the mood to head back out and help. Her feet moved backwards, towards the door. She stayed focused on what was in front of her, and hoped the snipers would cover her back. When they finally reached the door, Marissa turned and wrenched it open. Her eyes were blazing and she was seething. A few of them were gathered in the entry hall and she tossed the bat down on the floor. "Where. Is. That. Drunk. Bastard?" She managed out through gritted teeth.

Continuing to provide sniping support, Alex watched and Marissa and Columbus returned to the bunker. As far as he knew, that just left Lance and Grey to return. He couldn't see them in the distance yet so he decided to take a quick break. He rested his gun next to the window before heading downstairs. On his way down, he heard Marissa ask where was a certain drunk at. Fortunately for Nickolai, he was passed out so he wouldn't have to feel her wrath. Unfortunately, he would have two thing to worry about when he woke up. Just about everyone was there with the exception of two people. "Glad to see you both made it back safely." He said

"God, I can't wait to get back. It feels like ages since we've seen anyone." Syusuke wrapped his arms around the back of his head, letting out a long yawn as he walked along. He always felt so tired for some reason, ever since the 'zombie' attacks began. Although he didn't do much being a medic, he still felt rather stressed out. Not to mention how wildly his little sister would act, just causing him to feel more drained. He looked up to sky, admiring the clouds for a moment before looking down to her. "You know, next time, please be kind enough to give me a warning when you storm off on missions. It'd really help a lot. You know no matter what, I'm always going to be by your side. But really, give me a heads up next time."

"I get it. I just get so bored hiding out all the time. I would much rather prefer to be out, destroying as many of those 'things' as I can." Shuri continued to look ahead, not paying much attention to her brother. It had been quite some time since they last ran into the undead creatures, it putting her on top of her guard. She never liked being relaxed in times like these. It just wasn't her style. "Make sure you are keeping an eye out instead of making chit chat with me. Remember, the world we live in now is no longer a safe one."

"I know that. I've known it for as long as you have. But it's not like if we stop talking, that it'll prevent them from attacking." Syusuke shrugged, placing his hands back into his pockets to keep warm. '"And besides, we're already here." He nodded over to the building straight ahead, just a few feet from where they stood.

Shuri shook her head, fixing her bow that rested against her back. Making her way up the steps, she checked her gun once more, taking a quick look around in case they may have been followed. Assuring herself that they weren't, she swung her rifle around her shoulder and opened the door, still being very cautious of her surroundings.

"Oh, enough already." Syusuke pouted, grabbing her collar and dragging her inside as he shut the door behind them. "Hey, everyone! We're back from the mission!" He shouted, yet only loud enough to be heard to the rooms around them.

Skye checked around the area, seeing that it was starting to get crowded with a lot of people. Seemed like some of the others outside had made it, along with another small mission that went out on their own to do their own thing. So, it seemed like the main leader and someone else was still missing...

She sighed out, seeing one of the Snipers came off of his perch to come downstairs, which meant that the zombies probably died down. Looking up at Marissa, she jabbed her thumb over her shoulder to the sleeping drunk and then looked at the sniper. "Zombie hoard died down then?" And then looking up at the two siblings, she smiled. "Hey guys, welcome back. Didn't run into any trouble, did you?"

Shuri looked over to the young woman, staring at her for a moment before turning the corner into one of the rooms nearby. She wasn't really one to talk to people she hardly knew, regardless if they were all trying to survive together or even if she was a co-leader. She placed her things down, pulling off her weapons and moving to count her inventory alone.

"Don't mind her. She's always like that." Syusuke grinned at her, placing his backpack on the ground in the hall. "But to answer your question, it wasn't too bad. We ran into a few of those creatures but none of us were hurt or bitten. Mostly because Shuri tends to shoot them down before they can get too close." He laughed a little, rubbing the back of his head as he made his way a bit closer to them. He looked around the room, happy to see that the group was still together and safe. Seeing such a sigh, despite the drunk, made him a bit relieved. "We got lucky though and brought back a few supplies some food. Of course, my sister took what she wanted but it wasn't much she grabbed. So everyone else can feel free to grab what they need."

Shuri rolled her eyes, not knowing why it was that he felt the need to be so social. It wasn't like it was going to help with anything anyways. Sometimes, she wished they could just keep all their findings to themselves and not have to worry about everyone else. However, she could never go against her brother, despite believing him to be such a major idiot most of the time.

It was quite the tedious travel to the bunker, but in the end Grey managed to reach their safe zone without any zombies hot on his trail. Closing his eye the leader immediately sent a kick towards the door. It was obvious that the leader was definitely not pleased, much more angry than his usual grumpy self. It wasn't his team that brought him any anger, but it was his own negligence that brought his anger. His team worked magnificently, but it all could have been avoided if Grey had only been more careful.

The wounds he received from staying back were not severe, but they did take a noticeable toll on the leaders body. Just thinking about wounds reminded him about the action his assistant leader Skye took. Though he was very proud of the selfless action she took he was also worried sick about the girl in the process. A certain ruckus seemed to be happening in the bunker but Grey merely placed his hand on his head in order to prevent the migraine he was about to receive from all the events taking place.

The girl smiled with a slight shrug of her shoulders, not really minding Shuri's attitude. She got her mission done, and that was that. They would probably sort through the loot that was sucessfully brought home later-

Skype jumped when she heard the door was kicked opened and jumped into action, pulling out her hand pistol and had it ready to shoot. But then gasped, quickly putting her weapon away and out of sight. "Gray! You made it back!" She could see that he was hurt, tired, and rather angry too when she got closer to him. "Are you okay? Everything alright? Um... Cross, Syusuke, take him to the examination room." The little leader's head was spinning with things that needed to be done. Everything was just mass chaos at the moment and they needed some order, some quiet time to think. "Alex, what's the status of the zombies outside?" she called over her shoulder to the sniper that came down the stairs to check on things below.

Then she bit her tongue, realizing what she was doing. The real deal leader was here, and she was calling the shots. She quickly looked up at the man she highly respected and bowed lowly to him. "I'm so, so, so sorry. I forgot. Skye is zipping her lips RIGHT now." She made the zipping noise as she ran her fingers across her mouth and then looked up at Gray. He didn't look very well to her.

"Yes, miss!" Syusuke quickly made his way over to the man's side, taking his arms and wrapping it around his shoulder. He didn't mind any blood that may get on him, just worrying about getting this leader to the room. "It's going to be alright, sir. I will do as best as I can to stop your bleeding and fix up those wound. From what I can see now though, none of them seem serious so hang in there." He turned his head back quickly, calling out to his sister int the room that was nearby. "Shuri. Time to get out here and see if they need help." He then made his way into the room, sitting Grey down on one of the mats.

Shuri looked up, feeling a sudden sense of panic in the tone of her brother's voice. Putting down her rags, she swiftly loaded up her gun and arrows to prepare herself for any attacks. She then got up, making her way out of the room and back over to Skye. "Is there anything that needs to be done? I am prepared for anything at this time if you need to place me somewhere." She spoke low but very clear, it quite obvious that she really didn't want to bother talking and just wanted her assignment already.

Narrowing his eyes at the girl with intense rage, the man was about to yell out his rage, but it never came. Closing his eyes, Grey only let a groan as he allowed himself to be assisted by Syusuke. "If there is one I hate, its the fact that no matter how pissed I get at you...you manage to friggin calm me down before I can even say anything" Grey said defeated by the girl's cheerful self. Hearing Syusuke's words of encouragement, Grey glanced over at Skye once more "I want you to make sure that nobody is allowed to move out of the bunker unless it is an emergency...other than that just keep up the good work" Grey said as he closed his eyes "There are things that need to be discussed before we move out again" Grey said before being led by Syusuke.

Skye was left confused for a moment by Grey's words. Obviously he was ticked off at something. Her? How the mission went? Stuff happening? Or all the above. She guessed she would find out in a second, she needed to act as the second leader right now after all. That's what Grey needed her for.

"Shuri, can you head to the roof and keep a good look out on the zombies around us? Track their movement, make sure there's no hoard coming towards us. Let us know if something fishy is going on. Alex, join her on the roof. Everyone else, stay put until further orders. And shut the door."

She hurried after the medic and the leader, following behind shyly. "I'm sorry Grey," she spoke softly, folding her hands in front of her. "I'm sorry thing turn out the way they did..."

Nikolai was dreaming. A wonderful dream it was. He had a beer in one hand and a shotgun in the other. Just not one care in the world as he shot and drank away. Even in his sleep he was a drunk. He then began to see something. Something from long ago. A giant teddy bear sat there in front of him with a knife. He shot it, however nothing happened. The bullets went right through it. The bear began to walk towards him and right as the bear was about to stab him, Nikolai flew out of his chair, somehow reattached his leg and stumbled back on his feet. "Boy, I really am lucky." He saw the bottle of vodka next to him, he decided to ignore it, this time.

He wandered into the room with Grey and the others. "Hey, Grey, I'm up. Whenever you are ready for a resupply mission, I will head back up to the rooftop to snipe you guys a free path if needed." He began to walk back, up the stairs and wait for his plan of attack.
