I don't consider myself a fan of FF, I've played some of quite a few and discovered that on the whole FF just isn't my thing, but I may actually get this one. It looks amazing.

 

I like that there's the mixture of guns and close-range combat, I always liked that about FFXII. In FFXIII the only long-range combat you got was magic and Vanille's weapon, whereas in XII you had things like Balthier's gun and Fran's bow (which I suppose you could have switched for all swords or something but pls).

I also really like Prompto so let's see if he lives up to my Balthier standards.

 

Saw this last night, and I swear I'm going to get a PS3 for older games that I need to play on it, and a PS4 just for this and KHIII. This is just astoundingly beautiful. Not too mention, when you compare what we see in this and what we saw in one of the earlier trailers that would have been for PS3, this looks so much nicer. And the combat looks like it's real-time, which would be awesome.

 

You know, you can get a PS4 and download all the PS3 games you missed out on. Don't need to get both.

 

And Hope's
And Lightning's gunblade attacks where she actually uses it as a gun

 

Oh right, I forgot Hope tossed his around. I rarely had him as party leader, usually just kept him as my team's White Mage. I usually kept Lightning as Ravager as well, only switched to Commando when the enemies were staggered, so I didn't see much gunblade action, ha.

 

Lol, it's REALLY easy to forget, because besides that mandatory bit with him during the intro, after that, he loses the ability to throw his boomerang until he gets the commando role near the end, and even then, he's a terrible commando :P

 

They're also going onto the Xbox One..not that anyone here will get that lol

 

And Sazh. Sazh had a handy trick fighting the Giant Cactuar that would put him out of reach from its attacks.

wait, you can download PS3 games onto the PS4? I haven't heard anything about the PS4 yet, so I wouldn't know. Did they talk about it yesterday during E3?

 

There's an online cloud system...thing where you can download a bunch of PS3 games and play them. Think it's called Gaikai?

Or at the very least, if they keep it. How come they couldn't have just put the games on the PSN like any other play station game?

 

It's a damn shame people complained so much about XII and killed off the best combat system in the series.

 

Actually, you can't download them, only stream. That's the reason for Sony's partnership with Gaikai.

 

Like KHIII, I can't wait for this to be released. In other news, if this has more sales or more popularity than VII, a remake of it will be in the works.
