Hey Square how about you show us some gameplay before trying to start up some hype about your game?

I honestly forget about this game until every couple months somebody mentions it.

The thing is, it looks like an awesome game and I really want it soon! Also, a side note, a lot of my Xbox user friends were very annoyed about having to switch between disks for FFXIII, imaine how many they will need for FFvXIII, if it's meant to be as epic as they say it is.

I guess those 1.5 million copies sold on the 360 really changed their minds.

I'm honestly not bothered as long as they release the damn game already, and the PS3 version isn't affected.

    Wait 1.5 million?
Are you sure that's actually a lot? I mean Considering the ad campaign everywhere i'm not so sure.

494,000 is actually about the amount sold on the 360, but when you consider that qualifications for Platinum Hits are the game being available for 9 months and sales being around half a million, it's still a good amount of sales.

Note that most developers set sales projections around 150,000-300,000 copies.

Three or four considering that even if they had made the 360 version of FFXIII the exact same size as the PS3 version, it still would have fit on four discs. If they use the same rebuilt engine used for the 360 version of FFXIII, FFvXIII will be able to fit on three or four discs with no problem.

Wait, what? Are you sure those aren't that North American numbers?
I'm quite certain that the 360 version of FFXIII sold over 1 million copies, while the PS3 version sold about 4 millions. There were a few articles on it.

But hey, 1 million is still a great number. Like you said developers usually target much lower. (But let's not forget that this is a really high budget game)

Yeah, I was talking North American numbers. In total, the game has sold about five and a half million copies world wide, with about equal sales across North America, Japan and PAL. However, there is no 360 version in Japan, not that it would have made much of a difference over there.

Actually, no. They definately are not doing FFXIV on 360. They have already announced beta testing and only PS3 and PC have been mentioned, besides, I don't think a 360 would be abe to run a MMORPG, a PS3 is pushing it as it is.

Also, since when was FFXI on 360?

    *googles*

Oh right, I see. But I don't think it would be able to run FFXIV for some reason.

The 360 version of XBox Live was designed with MMOs in mind, granted FFXI and technically Phantasy Star Universe are the only ones on the console. Either way and even though they never decided anything, FFXIV was considered for 360. However, as for the view that it flat out wouldn't work, tell that to the people that were saying that FFXIII was impossible on 360.

Since I'm a 360 owner, I would side with porting this to it also...but I mean a lot of people have been waiting for this game and I honestly do not care about this one as much because it's getting to the point where it's GONNA be hyped.

I'm happy with my FFXIII right now.

They need to give PS3 a chance at exclusives. Cmon XIII was originally for PS3 only. PS3 gamers were so pissed about XIII. PS3 isn't doing so well and needs a chance.

I don't know what rock you've been hiding under but your kind of off with what your stating. The PS3 does a lot better than you think and it gets a lot of exclusives already, sure, there might be more exclusives and some games are shared with the Xbox 360 but most of them are the same game with a different cover and some texture changes.

At least it's progress right? We've not got much there but you can kinda get the feeling that the game is going to be modern-like cities divided by large wilderness or something. The first image kinda reminds me of Crisis Core, which would be what the cities will probably be like. Hopefully it's not another Shinra or something. I'm glad they're letting it be free roam again.

FINALLY! But seriously...why did it have to take so long? That one cutscene appeared in '08 and they decide to show gameplay images now in '10. I guess something is better than nothing though. The scenery in the pics give the game a cool post-apocalyptic feel. I wonder if that's what they'll be going for in the game.
