"Speed's not everything. Cactuars are a good example," he replied. Just ignoring Grey for a moment, he looked to see if Dahaka was still here. Great...it's gone. Omega brought his attention back to Grey. "Anyway, weren't you going to do something?" he asked, putting his left arm behind his back. His right arm charged up with Banish.

 

Lightning pushed herself to her feet and hobbled to check on the others. She probed each of them for their brands. Finding each one of them, strengthened her resolve. Hearing Jaden's lack of concern, she turned on her heel and punched him in the jaw. Knocking him to the ground, "Would you grow up?! Being a l'Cie isn't a game. If you do not complete your focus before your brand evolves to it's final stage, you will become Ceith and wander Pulse as a monster that will be killed by PSICOM when they find you." Lightning set her blue eyes on Noah, "And you...you stand beside Jenny or whoever she is and now you claim to be with us? Who are you? What is your focus?"

 

He took a step back. The attack barely missed as it burned a rip in Omega's shirt, revealing some of his body that had already turned crystal. "Enter the place where time stands still; the place where dimensions and worlds clash and become one..." he began. For a counter, he shot Banish into the ground between himself and Grey, tearing open a rift in dimensions that sucked the air, the light, the dust, etc. Anything nearby was sent into the Void. "The Void beckons. Answer its call."

 

Noah's already weak smile disappeared completely as Lightning turned on him "I don't.......I don't know, I'm just trying to make some friends, I don't even know what a focus is, I don't even know what all this l'cie stuff means, All i know is that i have a mark like you guys on my tongue." He stuck out his tongue to show everyone.

His vision was blurring from loss of blood and he felt his consciousness slipping, he fell on his knees "And....I can control time....a little bit, but now I'm feeling tired, I have to save my energy" Noah stared up at Lightning sadly. He looked over to see Grey still fighting with Omega as the portal ripped open in the ground, "What about him? Shouldn't you be helping him?"

 

Lightning tossed Noah to the ground with a frustrated growl, she felt her brand heat up and burst from it a rose shaped pink crystal. "Odin!" She threw it up and followed, her gunblade slicing into it. Like a flower blooming, a large pink area spread out and Odin stretched, scattering rose petals around. Lightning dropped down from the air, catching Odin's outstretched hand and flinging her into a flip so she could land on her feet. "Cut us a path!" Her movements in synch with Odin's, she let him fling her at Omega as he gripped Grey and pulled him away from the Banish spell. Light's gunblade smashed into Omega, sending chips of crystal scattering. "You want a fight; pick it with a more experienced l'Cie!"

 

When Odin appeared, Omega stopped caring if he was watched by Cid and Freyja or not. He only caught a small glimpse of Odin before he and Lightning crashed to the ground, but that was all he needed. Just as they hit the ground, he took off straight up into the air while taking hold of Lightning in his arms. Just like when Shiva appeared, he whispered to Lightning,

"By the grace of Etro, let thunder herald your arrival. Come forth, sunderer of falsehood."

As soon as he said that he stopped ascending and began freefalling headfirst while slowly spiraling. His grip around Lightning tightened. He continued on,

"A name in blood, a pact of truth. Odin shall rise, his bond eternal and unyielding!"

Right before they slammed into the ground, he ducked his head in to avoid actual collision for himself. Omega let Lightning go after that. He flipped over and snapped his fingers, immediately closing the rift. "Two Eidolons in one day. How my luck has changed," he commented with a grin as he drew out Blood Sword, as he needed to repair his body, and pointed it at Odin, "What are you waiting for? Attack."

 

Ryden woke up in a daze, cuts on his arms and his body. As he tried to sat himself up, he groaned looking at Lightning. Whoa, who is that?

 

Lightning stood, shaking from the impact. She switched to her Medic mode for a moment and healed her wounds as best she could. She gave a nod to Odin and his double sided scythe lifted, bringing down Thundaga on Omega as she switched back to her Commando role and buried her gunblade into Omega's back. "Don't you antagonize my Eidolin and turn your back on me!"

 

Mya watched the battle hopelessly. She wanted to help them out, but she was to worn out to physically help them. If I could only do something to maybe strengthen them up. She then saw a strange orange circle surround her, somewhat making her movements a bit faster. Wait, what's going on? Did I just-? She then knew what was happening. She started to caste Haste and protect on Lightning before gasping and falling to her knees, clutching her side. I don't think I'm physically ready to fully perform these tasks.

 

OOC: Wow... I miss a little... and I miss a lot...
For the record, he would have said all of this to Lightning before she took off to join the fight against Omega.
It's fine if she doesn't answer anyway, I can imagine it's something she would choose to address later. So it can still fit in despite the other posts.

Jaden rubbed his jaw and got up from the ground... "Youch... nice to see you still pack a punch old lady, that one really hur-"
...except it didn't hurt as bad as the other times... That's right people... Jaden was used to getting slugged by Lightning for saying something or other, It was part of the fun... in a weird sorta way.
"Grow up? A game?" he questioned.
He then muttered something about people needing to give him more credit.
"You completely misunderstood me.." he sighed then started to explain, sounding a bit more serious, but he kept his posture casual.
"Whatever our focus may be... it coming from them probably means that it's not a good thing.
Whatever you guys want to do is fine.. But I'd much rather spend an eternity damned as a Cieth to be hunted down, rather than complete a Focus that for all we know could bring pain to many innocent lives. I know I'd suffer more of a torment in a crystallised state if I did do something like that..."
He stretched.
"Look right, all of us here have heard the stories, Lightning." This was one of the rare times he used her actual... um... nickname, which sorta meant he was actually trying to show her he was being serious even if it didn't sound like he was.
"You guys chose to fight your fate. To not be used as some tools of Fal'Cie. Are you seriously telling me you expect any different from your loving apprentices?" he asked her while grinning slightly.

 

Omega brushed off Odin's Thundaga and quickly turned around to deflect the backstab. He watched Protect and Haste take their effect. "Don't forget what all l'Cie are capable of doing, Lightning," he told her while casting Dispelga on everyone on the apex to remove any and all beneficial magic effects. Following that, Omega attacked back with four, fast diagonal strikes, an upper slash, and finished with a downward swing.

 

Lightning could see his attacks coming and before she could move to deflect even one, Odin was shielding her. His shield took the beating and he retalliated with a wild flurry of slices from his double-sided scythe. Lightning slid underneath Odin's legs and aimed a well placed kick in Omega's chest.

 

Jaden brushed himself off, finished rolling his sleeves up to let his brand show. The cool air touching the burning mark felt soothing...
He drew both of his Katana... after Lightning had started to take on Omega.
He addressed Cid who he had just noticed and pointed a Katana at him.
"Right then glass boy.. Judging that you and hot stuff are back here in one piece, all things considered for when you were meant to be at at each others throats as you sent us off... It seems my original thoughts were right, you went and lead us right into a trap didn't you?" he said walking towards him a bit more.
Jaden gave a sharp grin, "Sorry I don't have an award for your acting skills.. But instead I'm more than happy to kick your ass."

 

Omega timed a downward strike in order to clash blades with Odin, stopping the flurry of blows. He flipped over Lightning and Odin's twin swords to drop kick the Eidolon in the face in order for him to drop the weapon. "Although short, it was nice to see you again after all this time," he spoke to the Eidolon while putting away Blood Sword. Ignoring Lightning for the moment while walking over to the Eidolon, he picked up the connected blades from the ground and split it into two swords. "You know how this battle will end, Odin."

 

Odin gave him a determined look and Lightning sheathed her gunblade and flipped over Omega, snatching Odin's scythes from Omega. "Odin, we do this together!" Odin leapt into the sky and transformed himself into his gesault form. The white horse trotted down to Lightning and she jumped onto his back, "Let's ride!" Odin and Light turned to the side and twirled the connected scythes, slicing into the ground and sending Razor Gales at Omega. Slicing deep into his crystal skin. "You don't know when to back down, do you?" Odin snorted, his glowing purple eyes focused on Omega.

 

OOC: Didn't like the Zantetsuken thing and was meaning to replace it for sometime. Oh, and bump.

BIC:

Omega staggered back a bit from Lightning's attacks, but he stood his ground against them. "I know very well when to back down," he replied to Lightning, "My question is: Do you?" The brand over his eye glowed a bit more intense; he was tapping even more strength from his Weapon self. Omega raised a palm toward Lightning and Odin. "To paraphrase what you said to a boy long ago..." he continued. Bright, yellow light pulsed into his hand. "'Here in an instant, gone in a flash.'" Without warning and aiming solely for Odin he retaliated back with Light Pillar, unleashing a stream of highly damaging light in an instant.

 

Time slowed for Light. She remembered what she'd said to Hope about her name. It flashes bright and then disappears. Lightning can't protect, it can only destroy. As time resumed, Lightning felt the blow to her Eidolin and jumped off Odin's back. He disappeared in a flash of light and rose petals. Dropping to one knee, she couldn't find the energy to stand anymore.
