Final Fantasy XIII: Slaves of Fate

"Oh please." Omega countered Ryden's attack with a simple kick in the ribs. "Use you head for once, will you? Plan your attack; be ready for any situation that may arise. Rushing in unprepared only increases your chances of death. Besides, if you can't take down a Long Gui while it's standing, even with a team, what makes you think you can take me down?" Reverting back to Commando, he casted Flare on Ryden with a snap of his fingers. "Goodbye."

 

"Tch." Ryden disappeared in a flash and appeared behind Omega, the look in his eyes changed completely. "I don't die that easily." He brushed aside his hair to reveal a L'Cie brand in his left eye. "I didn't know what was going on, I was just exploring this place because of curiosity. Next thing you know, my eye has this thing on it."

 

Freyja looked like she was about to tear him to pieces with every minute but then she began to calm down and her eyes stopped glowing. She fiddled around in coat and found a another pair she meant to put them on but then stopped herself and put them away.
" Next time, don't be so . . . rash about it. Just kill me where I stand next time. "
She said as she paced around as if what happened before was the least of her worries. Freyja just looked upon Cid unafraid and rather stoic."
" Anyways, I was going to let them go, but you had to go being all dramatic and everything."

 

Omega sighed. He let Snow go and kicked Lightning away. "This world never changes. Even when even when every human on the planet died off, nothing changed," he cynically remarked. The brand covering his eye glowed. Omega was tapping into the powers of the monster inside him. "Maybe I should just destroy this world after all..." His free hand began to illuminate with a supernatural light. One could feel the power emanating from it. "Tell me something: Will you change the world? Or will you change yourself?" he asked them. When he opened his hand all light was absorbed into it, similar to Flare earlier. "Will you live in harmony with the planet? Or..." His eyes changed color to an icy blue, which reflected the light from his arm. "Will you turn your back on the planet and walk another path?" He took a few steps away from everyone and aimed his charged hand at them his main targets. "Wave Cannon: 5% Power," he said. In an instant a Mega Flare-like laser of concentrated energy fired straight out of his palm and went through Lightning, Snow, Shiva, and anything else in its path for about 10 seconds. Standing ground against it only ensured deeper wounds.

 

The wave cannon surged forward where Noah, preparing to join Lightning and Snow, had time to do nothing but snap his fingers, hasting himself and moving out of the way seemingly unscathed. Pain suddenly coursed through the side of his head. A large gash, gushing blood, was left there, tears streamed down his face, he was feeling dizzy as he glared at Omega, "Are you crazy?! You could have killed someone!" He choked out, ignorant as ever. Noah knew he wasn't the only one in the blast but, he didn't want to look at the others. He slumped down, crying, defeated in every sense of the word, "I just want to be strong.....I thought I had more power than this..." At that his entire right hand started to intensely shine and the clouds in the sky started to swirl maliciously, turning pitch black, a faint light growing larger and brighter behind them. A large flaming meteor came streaking across the sky right towards Omega, increasing in speed as it fell. Noah laughed weakly "That's more like it."

 

Not actually in this RP, doubt i ever will either. Just stopping by the let ya all know that this is a great RP,and very entertaining. I keep finding myself checking up just to see the updates in the storyline!

 

"My entire existence is to destroy. To protect through the use of destruction. It does not matter to me if one lives and another dies. Death simply happens; I only make it come sooner," Omega replied to Noah. He looked at Noah with a cold, piercing gaze and soon turned to the sky to see the meteor coming down. "You want to play with meteors, boy?" he rhetorically asked. Pointing Masamune into the air, a bolt of magic fired into the sky directly above Noah. Omega continued, "Then let's play with meteors." A second meteor came crashing down, though carefully aimed to only hit Noah and no one else. He wasn't so sure about Noah's impulse casting of the same spell, though.

 

The second meteor in the sky loomed overhead, increasingly menacing to Noah who tryed hasting himself again to no avail his last attack drained him. His own Meteor was failing him as it veered slightly off course and landed in the empty space next to Omega, the resulting fiery shockwave might have singed him and knocked him off balance but nothing serious, a slight oppurtunity for someone to attack but nevertheless a failure. "Now what?" Noah specifically directed towards Omega, "I'm gonna die here before I get to be a hero?" The blood mixing with the tears, streaking down his face.

 

Omega brushed off the shockwave. "I judge a hero based upon their actions and the consequences of their actions. You want to be a hero? Now's a good time to start, seeing as you haven't made a very good impression," he answered sternly.

 

Lightning was slightly fazed by Omega threatening to call her by her real name. Enough that she let his kick knock the wind out of her. Rolling from her side on the ground, she leapt to her feet long enough to see Omega's blast coming and think, I really shouldn't have agreed to help Snow with this. She was knocked back and down, taking Akira with her to shield her. When she could stand again, she set her icy eyes on Omega, "We choose our own path. Not one set for us by the likes of you or anybody else. I'm no one's slave!" She cast Thundaga at him, hoping to do as much damage as she could.

 

Noah's head perked up when he heard Lightnings voice, her few words instilled some kind of confidence in him. He looked at the meteor headed for him and stood up, mustering his strength he ran towards Omega as the thundaga came down. "I won't give up, You can knock me down all you want I'll just keep on standing!" Noah reached Omega and vaulted on his hand sending a kick racing towards his head.

 

Getting hit by Thundaga caused Omega to flinch very subtly, but other than that he was still standing fine. "Funny how you say that, considering that I'm the only one here with an eternal Focus," he calmly replied to Lightning. Although he appeared calm, he was beginning to grow irritated and impatient. How much longer must I keep up this charade? Hurry up and make the rest into l'Cie already. Out of reflex, he grabbed the ankle from the incoming kick with his free hand. "Would you still stand...if I absorbed your entire life for my own health?" he asked Noah as his grip grew tighter. Omega began his Drain barrage, slowly sucking out the boy's life to restore his own. He had no intention of killing Noah, but to simply overload his body with enough pain to disable him for a time.

 

As neither of his arms have fully crystallized yet, blood began to drip down his arm. But seeing as he was sucking the life out of someone, Omega felt no pain. "You again? You know you're only making it worse, right? The more you wound me, the more I'll have to siphon out of this kid. Go on, tighten your grip and watch him suffer more than he needs to," he taunted Grey, "Or would you like to take his place?"

 

OOC: No Heart-X, I don't recall making Ryden a l'Cie yet? That was too big a development to do by yourself. I'm going to keep it since I was planning on making everyone a l'Cie with this post anyway, but next time, don't take a such a dramatic step by yourself.

"Huh?" Leo snapped out of it when Jaden had spoken to him. "Heh, sorry, just nervous," he told his friend. He took his eyes away from the beast, but his Gunblade never moved from its spot and his grip didn't weaken. "Looks like we're getting close..." Leo said as they soon reached the apex. The Zirnitra, however, changed course and flew straight up, moving slightly away from the tower than towards it. "What the-? Hey, that way!" Leo said as one hand flew to point towards the apex. His mouth dropped when his eyes followed his hand. At the apex of the tower was a large battle taking place. The clouds directly above the apex were dark and a long mechanical dragon was flying around the battle with...Grey on its back?! "Hey! Snow! Lightning! Grey!" Leo called out, but he doubted they could hear him, if they could even notice him. "You stupid wyvern, move that wa-" Leo stopped when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. On top of Taejin's Tower, in the exact center appeared a bright light.

Cid shrugged. "Don't blame me. You almost ruined everything! I had to think of something to get them up there, we can't just force-"

"Cidolfu, Omega, Freyja. Those who already l'Cie cannot interfere. Keep them busy." Jenny's distorted voice rang out loudly reaching the ends of the canyon as she ordered the closet Crystal l'Cie to do her bidding.

Cid's posture changed completely upon hearing the voice. "It's time! Let's go, Freyja! It's time to watch the beginning of the end!" He turned and started running towards the tower, not waiting for Freyja. "Come meet your maker!"

"Is that...Jenny?" Leo asked, surprised as he recognized the voice. "What the HELL is going on here?" Before he could get an answer, the intensity of the light increased and a large amount of wires shot out towards all directions at blinding speeds. A group of wires grabbed Mya and Akira. Another set flew towards Grey who was buckled off of Dahaka. A larger group flew towards the Zirnitra and wrapped themselves around Jaden, Mia, Ryou, and Leo. "Hey, hey! HEY!" Leo tried to struggle as the wires wrapped around his arms, neck, and waist. "LET.....ME...GO!" Instead, the wires contracted just as fast as they had appeared and pulled all apprentices into the light. What's going on? Leo thought as he flew through the air, the wind blasting his hair and clothes. He watched the tower blur towards him before being completely blinded by the light. Suddenly, all of his senses failed him as everything went black and quiet.

As soon as he knew that the normal humans were off of his "pet," Cid's body began to glow again. The Zirnitra disappeared from the sky and reappeared near him. "Here we go!" He jumped onto the Wyvern.


Snow looked around, confused as can be. "What? Is everyone a l'Cie around here?" He asked loudly before he saw the light. "Grey, Akira, Mya!" He ran towards them but they flew past him and into the light.

Jaden was suddenly grabbed and hurled through the air by the wires. "What the-?!"
"Ooooohhh Shiiiiiiii-!" Jaden yelled out as he was rapidly pulled into the light. Everything went black and quiet as his senses seemed to be overwhelmed and die, blinded by light.

 

Ryou was surprised at teh sudden movement of the wyvern and something grabbed Ryou's wrist and he cut at it but more ensnared him as he heard Leo's words. "...Damn!" he thoughtas he tightly grasped his katana as he was pulled into the light, he did not scream or yell as he went to reach with a free hand towards Lighting but soon vanished within the blinding light, of all the things he had to say from his thoughts was.

"Where are we?" He had wanted to ask aloud, he couldn't see a damn thing, thanks to the light, it was hard to adapt to sudden darkness and it was then, his senses overwhelmed him in the end.

 

"Finally..." Omega said with relief after hearing Jenny's words and the annoying tug on his arm gone. He let go of Noah by slamming him into the ground. With his meteor about to hit the tower, he lunged at it and with one swing of the Masamune it split in two and exploded before impact. As the branding came, he used it as the perfect opportunity to strike down the remaining l'Cie. Still tapping into his inner power, as his eyes were still an icy blue, Omega was able to triplecast Ultima. The first was for Snow, the second for Lightning, and the third for Ryden. He smiled as the spells detonated.

 

Noah hit the ground with a hard thud and struggled to his feet. He wiped away his bloody tears and dirt from his face with the back of his hand, "....Wha.....Where'd everybody go?" he breathed out weakly, "With Jenny? Like she did to me....?" Noah looked on as the triple ultima was cast, feeling helpless and entirely too weak from being drained.
