Final Fantasy XIII: Slaves of Fate

" You punk, I always had a feeling something was up with you, why else do you think I would follow you !!!?"
Freyja said as she dodged his attack with such speed and stood feet away gripping her hands around her rifle, it seemed her grip around the barrel of the thing seemed so severe that it would crack into pieces any moment even though it was pure metal, but it did just that, the ground around her began to shake and her long hair that flowed in the air began to turn from jet black to stark white and her eyes began to glow extremely bright. As she breathed suddenly, her breath could be seen, was it getting colder out here?

 

As the wheel came flying at him, he simply smiled at their attack. "Has that much time passed that the two of you have forgotten who you're dealing with?" Omega asked the sisters casually. He strolled towards the spinning wheel knowing full well that the Eidolon will think twice about attacking him, even under the commands of their summoner. "Or...do you need another reminder?" he threatened, preparing both swords for a cross slash. The magic within the swords grew more intense and engulfed most of their respective blade in light.

 

Noah looked around at all the chaos unfolding around him, a fight everywhere he turned. He was entirely at a loss as to what his next move should be. Jenny, his only guide was missing and he couldn't tell friend from foe. He spotted Ryden standing off in the sidelines alone, shrugging and audibly sighing he ran over and sat down next to him. "I don't understand any of this, who's good? and evil? Who am i supposed to fight? Jenny said it would be clear soon, but i feel like if i don't get out there now I might be letting my future friends down, but which ones are they?" Noah took his first breath after his long winded rant and stared at Ryden waiting for a responce.

 

"Well, if you don't want to let down any friends, do your best to help them. If you don't know who your friends are, then you should look into your own heart to see who you really care about. Good and evil are two concepts that everyone perceives differently, I can't really tell you anything about something you should know. Although, to be honest with you, I don't think that you know much about anything, considering that you only listen to this Jenny person. Regardless, if you want to find the answers to your questions, look into your heart and find them." Ryden had his eyes closed deep in thought. "The reason I don't do anything, is because I have no friends, no reason to fight for anyone but myself."

 

OOC: Apparently, Aerith G. will be offline for the rest of the week. Since I'm trying to make everyone (who started the RP at the same time) l'Cie simultaneously, things might go slow for the rest of the week so we don't leave her behind.


BIC:

Dahaka started to wriggle furiously in mid-air after Grey had landed on him. The fal'Cie made a strange noise and started to fly around the apex, the sound of *****ling accompanying him. Dahaka buckled, attempted to throw Grey into the air.



"Damn," Cid growled as he watched Freyja's transformation start. Things were not going according to plan. He could go morph into his stronger form, but not while he had a summoned monster out...which he did. "Go on, git!" He yelled to the others as he held his chain scythe by both handles tightly. "The springs are ridden with Crystal l'Cie!" He took a step toward Freyja and positioned himself in a battle stance. "Get on the Zirnitra and get Lightning!"

"More lCie?" Leo was confused. Should they trust Cid? He did just attack the girl, and it seemed like pretty legit attack, but he was a crystal l'Cie. The name Cid scratched at the back of Leo's mind, but the moment was too tense and confusing for him to focus on it. "Guys? What should we do?" The blonde asked, started to freak out. His Gunblade tight in his grip and his thumb on the hammer of the handle, he stood only yards away from the monster and watched Cid. His glance moved from Cid to the entrance to the springs to the Zirnitra to the tower to Jaden to Ryou and then to Mia. "I don't think we have time to decide!"

Snow changed to Ravager role. "Froststrike!" Snow yelled out the name of his attack as he punched a ball of ice towards Omega, helping out his Eidolon.

Lightning glanced quickly up at Grey riding Dahaka, Dammit, idiot. I don't have time to babysit a bunch of humans and cover Snow. Not with this crystal l'Cie acting like he controls the Shiva sisters. Making a snap decision she turned away from Snow and the crystal l'Cie and ran as far as she could to get closer to Dahaka. Even with his flying around the apex, she focused on casting Thundaga. Hoping it wouldn't hit Grey. Dahaka was bigger, but with Grey riding the Fal'Cie, she was limited. The magic sparked in her hand as she summoned down the bolt of thunder, aiming for Dahaka's head.

Akira slipped behind Omega, her gunblade glimmered in the sun as she dug her blade into Omega's shoulder.

 

The ball of ice struck Omega in the face and the back attack only hit crystal, though barely, but all of that did not phase him. His only response was faint glimmer of rage that appeared in his eyes. Not even turning to see his attacker, Omega slammed Blood Sword's pommel into Akira's skull. Returning attention to Snow, he crossed both arms over his head and sliced an X into the air as he swung downward, unleashing both Ultima and Flare in intersecting blade beams at Snow and Shiva. Using that attack as a distraction for the three, he dashed towards Lightning while she casted Thundaga and elbowed her in the gut only to spin around her to blast her point blank in back of her head with a Ruinga. Using the magic's explosion as a propelling agent, Omega used Lightning's back as a stepping stone and leaped high into the air to land back-to-back with Snow. There he rested Masamune on his shoulder, the blade's edge aimed directly as Snow's neck. "You recognize this sword, don't you? Former owner was PSICOM Director Rosch, if the memories of my dream are correct," he informed.

The fighting going on top of the tower grew fainter as Shinryu blocked out all of the noise. Boredom grew. Omega said, "Don't wait for me," and to go with these two other people, but how long would it be until they actually appeared? All he could really do is wait.

 

Ryou looked at the scene before him, it was certainly confusing as hell as Ryou could tell no-one was having an eays time with the options as Ryou quickly thought out the options, attempting to remain calm, which was surprisely working well, Light's been rubbing off on him, that and he always had to keep a clear head in battle as Light once said earler, get distracted by anything else, you're good as dead.

"There's the mission entrusted to us but we only thought Omega was the only enemy, now there's a chance there could be more of these Crystal I'Cie which might as well kill us...but then again, if Light and Snow are fighting the Dahaka...it'll be more worse if they died by that fal'cie...all right, I'm gonna go with with my heart!" Ryou thought to himself and stared at Cid. "I'll trust you this time." He said to him and looked at the others. "I'm going." He said and ran for the transport Cid provided.

 

Akira fell back, landing with a dull thud, blood coursed from her forehead. She struggled to get up, her gunblade flung from her hands. "Ow..." As soon as she could focus, she saw Light being attacked, "Light!"

Lightning let Omega have his little fit on her and stayed in tact. Her head ached dully from the Ruinaga, but she'd felt worse. Rolling as she fell forward, she glanced back at Omega beside Snow. "An eye for an eye I always say." Lifting her blade to her shoulder she rushed at Omega. Her blade colliding with crystal skin, chipping at it.

 

Cid? ... Cid Raines? from the stories?... What the hell? Is it really?... Jaden could feel it all swirling around in his head.
What the hell should they do?... He had faith in the others... but...
Oh screw it!
He had originally wanted to hook up with Lightnings group anyway. What the hell was he still doing here?
He was never the type to think things through so much... He always lived in the moment taking life as it came. Why had he tried to act differently now? ... Well not anymore.
"I'll trust you this time." He heard Ryou say to Cid. Then Ryou turned to them. "I'm going." and he ran towards the creature.
Jaden's usual grin came back in an instant, Ryou was just awesome like that, Jaden thought he could see a bit of Lightnings influence in him. "Heh, not without me! Booya!" he said, breaking into a run and following Ryou. "Woohoo! We're gonna go save the old timers and kick some Crystal L'cie butt!"
He looked to Cid as he ran. "So you better not die here you hear?!"

 

"Hey, don't leave me, you guys!" Mia shouted as she followed. "Besides, I have a promise to keep with Snow. If I don't keep that, I won't consider myself part of the team anymore." She looked at Cid, thinking to herself. 'Maybe I should ask Snow and Lighting about Cid Raines when I have the time.'

 

"Hey, wait for me!" Leo yelled before following Mia. He jumped on the dragonic monster and it began to fly away. "Holy shi-" The monster was pretty quick and Leo had to squeeze his legs to make sure he didn't fall off. Within seconds, he looked down to see that the two Crystal l'Cie were turning to dots. He could feel the cold wind as they rushed towards the apex of the tower. Leo held his Gunblade tight over the monster. If something happened, he would be able to stab it easily...but what then? Fall? It took a moment, but Leo realized the monster didn't seem to breathe. It moved like a machine, not a creature. Is this the power of a Crystal l'Cie?

Cid waited until the others were too high up to see him, or at least, see with detail. Without warning, his body loosened up and he swung his chain scythe around his neck. "Well...that's done, then," he said calmly, smiling. "Sorry, Freyja, you almost ruined the plan. Didn't plan on having to attack you."


Snow raised his arms in front of him to block the magic attack, but the Shiva sisters dove in the way. Thanks, he thought. The smoke cleared and Snow started to look around, wondering where Omega was. "Where did he-" The appearance of Omega's blade and the sound of his voice, stopped Snow. "Heh, Rosch, huh?" Snow repeated. Every fiber of his being was wanting him to turn around and punch Omega, or grab the blade and throw him, but Snow was using his head for once. "And how did you get ahold of that?"

 

"Woo! What a ride!" Jaden yelled, not holding on with his hands but only his legs.
He saw Leo deep in thought, holding his blade over the monster.
"Hey, relax buddy" he said patting Leo's shoulder. "You'll give yourself an ulcer with an expression like that." He said grinning at his friend.

 

Ryou held on with a firm grip, expect anything to happen with this situations and he saw the tower. "Really fast this thing..." he thought, it was amazing and perhaps a bit exciting but his fighting side was mostly in control, keeping focused and all Ryou had to think was. "Hope Light doesn't kill me for deciding on coming here since I'm the one who brought the others." he thought and sweated a bit, imagining the scolding.

"Scratch hoping, pray instead." Ryou thought to himself, sure, Light being a bit mad was cute to him too, somehow he was grateful to whoever created thinking to yourself about anythign where no-one coudl hear your thoughts, if anyoen knew he had a crush on Light, He'd never hear the end of it. "Especially Jaden who calls them old timers." He thought.

 

"Where else to get a Cocoon blade but Cocoon itself? It was lying in the Gardens of Edenhall during my visit of the world. I'd already passed through Oerba. While there I saw you mistake me for a refugee. No one could've noticed that I was a l'Cie. My brand was covered in bandages as a safeguard. But enough of that," he replied. All the while, Lightning was digging into his side. He really didn't mind. It was futile to even try to shatter his entire torso. "There's no use in trying, Lightning. Or should I call you by your real name-" he asked Lightning, waiting to see if he hit a nerve. He sheathed Blood Sword back into the scabbard on his back seeing that he didn't need to use it to heal at the moment. "You should really go back to the first floor. Someone's waiting for the two of you," he advised. In a yellow flash, Omega became Sentinel. Defensive maneuvers, activated.

 

Noah laughed quietly yet knowingly at Rydens words, "Well I don't understand alot, you're right noone was ever around long enough to teach me, everything I know, I taught myself." He stood up and looked at the battles in front of him; 2 heroes of legend fighting off a completely unknown assailant, and a group of people just like him, minus his newfound power, trying to take down what is essentially a creator, his body with excitement and he smiled. "I don't know alot, but soon I'll have picked my side in the events to come and have something to fight for." Noah tapped Ryden on the arm "........And you, well you've gotta have something to fight for, or you wouldn't be here right now" Noah laughed that child like laugh "Plus, I just made a new friend in you , even during this, good can happen."

 

Ryden raised his eyebrow quizzically looking at Noah. He thought about it for a little bit, "Well, I guess you're right, I do have something to fight for. Only trouble is, my memory is pretty bad, so if I am fighting for something or someone, I don't remember who or what. Well, if we're gonna be here, we might as well have a little bit of fun, right?" Ryden looked at Noah pointing his sword at Lightning, Snow, and Omega.

 

Noah sighed and a smile came across his face he pounded both of his fists together and traced his sight along Ryden's sword to where it was pointing. "I guess you're right we won't find out anything just by sitting on the sidelines." Noah looked down at his bare knuckles, shoeless feet, and his overall unarmored, unprotected body and audibly gulped seeing the multitude of weapons being utilized. "I'm gonna need to be careful though......" He then began scratching his head, "But who do we attack?..........after you." he waved his arm out towards the others.

 

"Whatever you say." Ryden rushed behind Omega and readied his blades, "Hey ugly, block this!" He drove both of his swords into Omega's back.
