"Oh, and a hi to you too Mia" Jaden said somewhat sarcastically.
"Come on, we'll make it for sure." He said starting to walk after her.
"A pretty girl like you shouldn't look so worried, just smile a bit would'ja?" He said with a grin.
"Anyway, I need catching up on some stuff... I heard Ryou got pretty banged up... Are the crystal L'cie really that strong, I mean it was all of you and the 'old timers' against it...
I guess I'm just curious as to what we're up against, after all. I've never seen one. You guys have.
Further more... I heard another cutie arrived in camp Oerba. Booya!
Come on guys fill me in."
He folded his arms behind his head. It was nice being back in the company of his friends again after a few weeks away. Even in such circumstances.

 

"If you want to live through this trip, then keep your mouth shut around me." Mia said, sounding a pissed off at Jaden. She held her spear tightly and sighed, walking to Cocoon. She really wished she was as strong as Fang and promised herself to become stronger to listen to what Snow had to say about her and Vanille.

 

"If you call pretty banged up as being in critical condition then yes, you heard right and don't be surprised, he was stronger than all of us and I had the misfortune of experiencing that power up close and personal, I consider myself lucky Light had medic skills to heal me." Ryou said with relief.

 

"Wow... nice to see you're as charming as ever Mia..." Jaden said with a sigh and turned to Ryou.
"They're that bad huh? ...Damn..." Jaden looked serious for a moment. "I'm sorry I wasn't there guys. I probably wouldn't have been able to do much, but even so..."
He then suddenly gave a usual sheepish grin and clenched a fist in front of him. "That's it, no more trips. I'm not gonna miss another party again, I wanna get to see how strong one of these crystal L'cie is for myself! Booya!"
He put an arm around Ryou's shoulder.
"Anyway, seriously... there is still one question you guys haven't answered... Who was the new girl?
You know... the cute one, the abducted princess now trapped in that tower. Uh... Jenny was it? I never forget a pretty girls name or face..."
Ironically of course, he had yet to meet her...

Yeah, I get he's talking a lot right now lol, but my excuse is it's been weeks since he's seen them, so he's catching up for lost time.

 

Ryou felt Jaden wrap his arm around him and he remebered what this guy was like, almost like a man who'd flirt with anyone as he walked with Jaden in tow.

"Yes, she had photographic evidence of Crystal I'Cie at Taejin's Tower and that I'Cie taken ehr hostage to amke sure the plans of it succeed, whatever those plans are so Light and Snow with soem fo the others went to rescue her while we, report to Cocoon about this situation...if they listen to us." Ryou said and within his mind and heart, he was glad he was who he was instead of Jaden,

 

"I'll make sure they'll listen to us." Mia gripped her spear tightly, with a determined look on her eyes. She looked at Cocoon and grinned, starting to run. "Try and beat me, slowpokes!" For once, Mia wanted to have a fun time.

 

"Oh is that right..." Jaden said to Ryou.
When he heard Mia he broke into a grin and began to sprint, seriously... anyone who had seen him earlier would be surprised by the fact he could still run.
"Haha, I accept that challenge! But if I win..." he held up a finger as he caught up and ran side by side with her.
"One date. That's all I ask."

 

"We'll see about that, Jaden." Mia ran faster, passing him. Mia could imagine the look on Snow's face if he saw her now, he would be surprised at her change. But Mia figured she needed to be more fun at times.

 

"Heh, it's on!" Jaden said also speeding up. A date was serious motivation for him. He just managed to pass Mia and he laughed. He looked back at them.
"Come on guys, you could at least act like you missed me a little, I know I can be a bit much sometimes. But seriou-" he was cut off as he tripped over a rock and landed flat on his face, sliding along for a few seconds...
Mia passed him again..
"Ow... no fair!" he said getting up and running after her again.

 

Ryou heard Mia's suggestion and decided to join. "Sure why not, but I won't ask for anything in return." Ryou said with honesty, he already had eyes on someone already, happily, no-one can read minds or he'd be embarassed to death by I'Cie as he ran, making sure he didn't strain himself.

A clear sphere of energy flew past Mia and hit the wall of the tunnel, causing a small explosion to interrupt their race. "Don't make me fire another Ruin, children," Cid's voice rang from behind them. The Crystal l'Cie appeared in human form, looking like a normal person. He could have been confused for one if he hadn't just used magic.

Leo pulled his Gunblade from his shirt quickly, a reflex Lightning had taught him, before turning around. He saw a man wearing blue, with a pair of goggles on his head. A pack of cigarettes was strapped to his forehead beneath the goggles. He was accompanied by a girl. He noticed the man's hand was glowing. Magic? Leo gripped his Gunblade tight, his thumb on the hammer. "You're a l'Cie?" Leo couldn't believe it. Just their luck. All of them couldn't handle one Crystal l'Cie and now half of them were supposed to handle two? Without Lightning and Snow? He gritted his teeth.

"Freyja, cut them off. Don't let go any farther," he told his accomplice as he grinned. He raised his palm, still glowing from his Ruin attack, and waved politely at Leo, Mia, Ryou, and Jaden. "Now...where do you think you're going? You're going to let your friends die?"

"She's still alive, don't you worry," Jenny said, still smiling. "Though if you could call that living, I would not know. In fact," Jenny spread her arms wide, "She was never dead. Just like my beautiful pet!" When she yelled the last word, a loud roar was heard followed by the dangling chimes. A large, dragonic being flew into the apex out of the sky. Its head resembled a mask. "You remember Dahaka, do you not?" Jenny asked Lightning and Snow quietly as the old fal'Cie floated above them, with his entire tail intact. "He sure remembers you."

"Not this thing again!" Snow said, surprised as he clenched his fists and assumed a battle position. "We beat it once, we can do it again! And then we'll beat the truth out of you!"

She said as she jumped into midair and seemed to glide over them and land a few feet behind them just as gracefully as she done before. And pulled out her gun from within it's holster and then pulled out her rifle from off her back and aimed it at them with only one hand.
" You can't run now."

 

Jaden stopped as the orb had gone past and turned to face the two new arrivals. "Heh... so this is them eh?" he drew both his Katana from his back and held them in an inverted grip, the Pure white blade known as 'Heaven' in his right hand and the pure red blade known as 'Hell' in his left.
"I've been waiting for a chance to cut loose." he said rolling his shoulders.
"I won't harm a lady... so..." he began to run towards the male L'cie.
"Guys! One of you get outta here, you have to warn Cocoon!"
He jumped in the air towards his opponent and swung both blades in a cross arc. "BOOYA!"
He had a grin on his face the whole time.

 

Ryou saw the Ruin and he stopepd dead in his tracks, fighting instinct taking over, this guy was a Crystal I'Cie and he wasn'tletting people off lightly by the sounds of it.

"We believe in our friend's strength and resolve so making us doubt them isn't going to work." Ryou said, gripping his katana's hilt, he honestly didn't want another frontal welcome by Ruin magic as his body was shaking a bit, it remembered that attack/ "Damn...I may have told myself mentally not to freeze up but deep within my mind, it still remembered" Ryou thought, he had to curse sliently at this predicament.

 

Mia stopped and gripped her spear. "What is it you want, may I ask?" She turned around and aimed her spear at Freyja, "Or do you want to fight?" She glared at her, a angry look in her eyes.

 

Lighting took a step back as she saw Dahaka, "No! Snow, we had the help of the guardians of the tower. We didn't do it by ourselves! How do we....the guardians...." Light looked around for one of the statues. "Snow look for at least one guardian!"

Akira drew her gunblade. Holding the sharp blade close to her head, and spacing her feet apart, "Light, what's a guardian!?"

 

" Maybe, maybe not . . . why don't you come over here and see what my true intentions are, child or are you too scared of what I might do to you to proceed forward?"
Freyja said with a soft and almost sweet smile as she walked slowly towards her, her rifle held at her side and a chuckle deep in her throat.

 

Mia glared at her, taking a step forward. She placed her spear on her shoulder and walked toward Freyja, she said, "I bet you're one of the Crystal I'Cie I've been hearing so much about, huh? Well, time to see how strong you are."
