Final Fantasy XIII: Slaves of Fate

Ryou looked up at the Tower, to say Snow was kidding was an understatement but what Leo said was true in turn. "I guess the fal'cie wanted to make better or just found it to be something to work on." Ryou said in suggestion as he remembered they would spilt into two groups very soon sicne they've reached it.

"BUt I guess this is where the real missions start huh?" He asked aloud.

 

Mia looked up at the Tower, she wasn't impressed with it. When she trained, she'd usually avoided coming near the place. "Whatever the reason, the fal'cie here needs to stop by us." Mia took her lance out and rested it against her shoulder.

 

"The power of the heart resides in the fists."

"Well, what are we waiting for? For Jenny to rescue herself?" Snow joked as he clenched his fists. "Let's go be heroes." He looked at Leo, Mya, and Ryou. "You three be safe now. Go save the world and we'll kick some crystal butt, alright?" He looked at Akira, Lightning, Grey, and finally Mia. "Well, let's go!" Before anyone could say anything he ran into the tower.

Leo couldn't help but get riled up with Snow's attitude. "Yeah!" He exclaimed, pulling out his gunblade. "All you gotta do is save a girl. You can handle that, right?" He joked as he started walking backward. "Leave the hard stuff to us," he saluted with his gunblade. He kept his eyes on Akira, though, as he wasn't confident enough to talk to Lightning that way. "Let's head to Atomos, guys!"

Ryou laughed a bit at Leo's choice of words. "Of course, how hard can it be to save one girl?" He joked with him as Snow had ran inside the tower, Snow was still Snow after all. "We'll promise to return in one piece in all seriousness though." He said and didn't bother to salute, he felt it didn't really suit him.

"So, to Atomos then!" He said with confidence and and turned on his foot as he started to walk and held up his hand to bid farewell.

 

Mia followed them, surprised that Snow picked her to help him save Jenny. 'Why did he do that?' she wondered to herself as she ran up to him and Grey. 'Well, whatever, I'm just glad. But I hope the others will be alright.' She looked around, "I've never been in here before."

 

Noah's heart skipped a beat as he was picked up and dropped from the mount "HEY YOU COULD WARN A GUY!!" he called out. Noah was confident he could stick this landing and as he went falling towards the ground he prepared to land, with his feet pointed downwards we landed and stuck it "Hahahaha I did it!" He yelled out happily and then stuck his tongue at his new friend. Unfortunately that celebration ended when his legs collapsed from beneath him and he fell face forward, he sat up rubbing his scraped up face a few tears welling up in his eyes "owwww that hurt!!" Then the questions poured out "Why are we here? What was that explosion? Did you see that girl in the distance? Is she a friend? Huh? Huh? Huh?!" He struggled to his feet dusting himself off and remaining bent at the knees to bear the pain in his legs.

 

Well that shut you up. Calling yourself a god... Omega thought as there was no reply. The elevator finally came to a stop and the doors opened. His eyes averted around to examine the entire ground tier. All that there was were a few broken support columns, some Mánagarmr here and there, three Menhirimm statues guarding a bright light in the center of the room, but no sign of Snow or Lightning. They aren't here yet? What, are they taking the long route via Atomos? Amateurs. As he walked out, a roar echoed throughout the tower. Now that he was on the ground floor, he could hear the roar clearly now. A slight cringe on his face gave the impression that something was off and his suspicions grew. "Something's trying to impersonate Shinryu. Nice try, but your pitch is too low," he judged. He continued on to the room's center, past the Menhirimm, and into the bright light. Seemingly recognizing his presence, the light faded out as Omega entered it to reveal a lift platform that leads down. Anticipating on what he would find below, he stepped on and descended.

 

Lightning groaned as Snow took off running followed by everyone else. "Does everyone have the energy of a two year old?!" she yelled after them, saluting to Leo as she watched him take off just as fast. "What is it with everyone today? They really are children if they think saving a girl is the easy part. I'd go with them to Cocoon to take care of PSICOM but Snow's going to need all the experienced people he can get." She followed them into the tower at a much slower pace, not in a real hurry to exhaust herself before the fight. Crystal l'Cie were not something to treat lightly.

Akira followed quickly after Snow, "Ah, wait for me! I don't think rushing into this is going to help us Snow!"

 

"Welcome to this humble abode," Jennny's voice rang through the apex of the tower. "My dear Cidolfu," She turned around, greeting her Crystal l'Cie, Cid and Freyja, and a little boy. "Now who is this little being?" She asked, referring to Noah. The brunette walked towards them, almost gliding as she closed the distance between them.


Cid patted Noah on the head as the wyvern that brought them started to glow before disappearing in a flash of light. Moments later, Cid was back to normal, his body completely uncrystallized. "His name is Noah, majesty, and he wants to be a hero," Cid smirked. "I...figured he could be of some use...he saw me transform. I couldn't leave him be." Of course, the other option would have been to kill Noah, but Cid, despite being a Crystal l'Cie, didn't have the heart to murder a little boy himself.

Jennny bent over, her face meeting the boy's. "So you want to be a hero, huh?" She smiled, her evil intent hidden beneath a preetty face.

Snow rushed into the tower, an ominous shiver going down his spine as he looked around. It was a strange feeling, as if they had just missed someone. Shaking it off, Snow looked around. "So..where's this elevator?"

Leo smiled as he followed Ryou. Mya and they were going to warn Cocoon. "I guess we should go a little faster, huh?" Leo asked as he started to walk a bit faster. "We have to cross through the springs first and then Atomos should be there."​

 

Light trailed a bit behind and hurried to catch up to Snow, "It's not far in, don't worry, just follow the spiral, you big idiot. C'mon." she gestured for him to follow her as she headed along the spiral and through a few archways to find the musical elevator, "Remember when we had to fix this thing to play a song for a Cieth way back when? It was a pretty melody but that thing was nasty."

Akira silently trailed behind Lightning, She didn't like the feeling she got when she entered this place.

 

OOC: Wait I thought I was with Snow and the others. Gah! I'm so confuzzled >.<

 

Mya followed Grey into the elevator. According to the history, this should take us to the top of the tower correct?

Appearance: Nearly identical to Hope, with slight differences such as golden eyes, whiter hair, numerous scars on his body from previous battles with Omega in his dragon form, and has a bit more muscle. He starts off wearing an old, torn up t-shirt and worn out shorts and later wears white slacks with a simple gray belt, gray sneakers, a khaki, unzipped hoodie over a long-sleeve, black shirt, and silver gloves.
Personality: He's very expressionless most of the time mainly because he doesn't know how to show most of his emotions due to him taking dragon form at a young age.
Biography: Definitely not as old as Omega and some others, but was around when the gods haven't left the world yet. When he was around four years old, his village was razed to the ground by a mass horde of Cie'th led by the Undying. The morning after, the goddess Lindzei found him under the bodies of his parents who died protecting him. Taking pity on him, She took him in and made him Her personal l'Cie with the Focus of destroying the god Pulse and his planet, thus making him a direct enemy of Omega and his siblings (but it was Omega who was tasked to bring him down), and wiped his memory clean in the process. Lindzei renamed him Shinryu and became known as that from then on. As he was branded by a god, he was the same type of l'Cie that Omega is. But since he was four when he was given all that immense power he couldn't control it. So upon clashing with Omega for the first time, which happened about a year later, Shinryu permanently assumed the form of the great crystal dragon he's now known to be. After countless years of fighting, Shinryu was finally defeated and sealed underneath Taejin's Tower by having his heart pierced by the Dragoon Lance that Omega had kept over the years just for that very moment. Shinryu underwent crystal stasis as a result and reflected on his past actions over his years in his dreams. Until he is released from both his l'Cie binds and the one placed by Omega, he will never return to his human form.

Other: Doesn't become a l'Cie, but can fight like one (without magic obviously). He never remembered how to speak after his memory was wiped, but he's still able to understand others. Will remember if given time.


BIC: The lift came to a stop in the center of a large, dimly lit room. Omega was shocked from the sight. The chamber was...empty. Except for the lance laying on the ground and the light shining from above, there was nothing. He looked around the chamber feverishly. "No dragon. No large, gaping hole that he could've escaped from. Where is he?!" he exclaimed. Just then, he noticed frightened breathing in a corner of the room. Omega approached the source of the sound: a 14 year old boy sitting in the corner. "Hey, Shin? That's you isn't it..."

 

Noah took in everything that was happening around him "Is this your boss......Cid.....ol......fu? Hahaha thats a funny name, I'll call you Cid i bet other people do." He turned his attention to the woman in front of him "You're really pretty lady, are you gonna teach me how to be a hero? to get stronger, to fight?" I'm ready.....I hope. Noah thought as his feet were still buckling from the fall but he grit his teeth and smile focusing on the oppurtunity that was being placed in front of him.

 

Lightning sighed, her patience with the apprentices was growing short. "Yes, this leads either all the way to the top or the bottom and every level inbetween." She stepped onto the elevator and rested her hand on the lever, "Are we going to do what we came here for or what? Unless Snow wants to stop every level inbetween to check for them. Crystal L'Cie aren't very patient."

 

OOC: Graxe, Shinryu is in. Also, if you (or anybody else for that matter) plan to use Pulse, Etro, Lindzei or any other "god" from the series from now on, talk to me because I'm using them and want to make sure it fits with my plans.

Leo stopped walking and looked at the tower. "Wha-?" He couldn't place it, but he had an extremely bad feeling. A shiver went down his spine and his hair on the back on his neck stood on end. I hope they're alright, He thought as he started walking again. He turned to Ryou and asked, "How are you holding up?"


Snow looked at Lightning. Despite everything, she was still the same old Light. "Well, take us up then!" He smiled as he pointed to the ceiling. "No stops, straight to apex, we've got a girl to save!" Snow's smile faltered, but only for a moment. He wondered if part of his motivation to save Jenny was her resemblance to Serah. "I wonder how long it'll take? There's over forty floors."



Cid ignored the boy and bowed to Jenny. "He's all yours, Mistress. Forgive me, but I need to leave. I spotted the others," and with that, he stood back up and turned around. "You can stay here or follow me," he told Freyja as he started to run. "But if you follow me, then make sure to stick your landing!" He yelled it as he jumped from the edge of the tower. His view changed from the railing of the apex to the canyons of Gran Pulse that surrounded the tower. The canyons seemed to rush at him as he fell, the wind hitting him as hard as it could. He reached up to his goggles and lowered them, covering his eyes as he free-fell.


Jenny smiled at Noah. "Tha's right, little one. I'm going to make you my personal hero," she said calmly as she placed her hands on his cheek. Whether Cid or Freyja was still around them, she could not care less for. "You are going to help me find my family," as she said it, her eyes started to glow a bright pink. A tingling sensation traveled from her palms through Noah's skin. "I'm going to make you so powerful," Her voice was now accompanied by a dark echo as Noah's eyes started to glow. He would no longer be able to see her as his conscience should be sent to another dimension. Her branding dimension was different than Altima's. Noah would find himself floating in space, with planets surrounding him. Above him, a metal woman stared at him. Cryptic music played in the background as Jenny's voice rang through the space, despite her being nowhere around, "You must find those who had abandoned us," When she finished, a burning feeling affected Noah's tongue as the metal woman in space reached out. Her hands turned into wires and stretched, gripping Noah's neck, wrists, ankles, and waist. Moments later, Jenny's distorted voice yelled through space. "You must bring me all the Makers!" The space started to glow until Noah could see only white, forcing him to close his eyes. Once he opened them, he would find himself laying down in front of Jenny, back at the apex of the tower.

"Noah Kent...I welcome you, my first l'Cie."

 

Akira shivered, she didn't like this place but keeping her head held high she stood next to Lightning. "Light, I...never mind." She didn't want to be a bother to her about her fears for Jenny.

Lightning nodded and pulled the lever, "It shouldn't take long. This thing moves quick enough." She gave Snow a look that matched his thoughts about their eagerness to save Jenny. She looked like Serah and it still unnerved Light.
