Jenny's head began hurting more and more. She let out a loud groan and fell back. "Were you talking about Ultima?" She asked silently, her tone changing completely. The pain in her head disappeared and Jenny stood up, a sly smile on her face."Ultima, right?" She asked Omega, as she approached him slowly, looking over the edge. The air around her was different now...it was abnormal. "And don't about your comrades, my precious Omega. They're not going to Cocoon, it's all a. Facade~" She sang the last word and cocked her head at Omega, her sly smile increasing.

"You're one of us now, Mia, you're not alone," Leo said smiling. He was caught off guard when Akira hugged him, but he patted her on the back with one hand. "Don't worry," he assured her, "I'll protect everyone. You just...protect Jenny." A flood of guilt washed over him and he walked out, following Ryou. Now I wait until they leave...he thought to himself, readying to go to Cocoon.

"As long as I have a want. I have a reason for living. Satisfaction is death."

Cid was worried about the Behemoth falling behind him. He didn't want to kill it. He hated killing animals. Part of the reason he hated Cocoon had something to do with it. However, a roar below the cliff let him know it was alive. "Now...what to do with you?" He asked. He doesn't recognize what I am? He is young...still..he might tell someone. While thinking of alternatives, he slowly approached the boy, taking note of his cut. "Aha~" He thought of a way to let the boy live, heal him, and keep his secret. "Oh, how would you like to be a hero?" He asked Noah ominously.

"A hero......" Noah pondered this immensely, He knew vague details about the heroes Snow and Lightning and their companions, from the stories his mother used to tell him, they were courageous and brave, also incredibly powerful. He decided and in an instant a serious stature and look spread throughout him "That sounds like fun, but 3 questions first. What do i have to do? Am i gonna make alot of friends? and--" his normal goofy nature returned "Whats a kid gotta do to get some food? Thats the only reason i ended up in this mess in the first place........My stomach always leads me to trouble. heheh"

"Oh and whats your name? Why can you transform like that? and whered that bullet that hit that monster come from?.......I guess that makes it more than 3 questions" Noah finished scratching his head nervously laughing.

 

Ryou reached for his daito annd walked back out of the house he lived in as he unsheathed it to check it, the sword was still in it's normal condition after being blown away from Omega's assault upon him and then he resheathed it as he hung it loosely by his side.

"Well, like Snow recommended, don't go after the big monsters." He thought to himself as Ryou turned his head to his house, he wasn't going to see it for a while and that kind of made him miss it already, it was his parent's home and now his so it was special to him.

"Geez, what would they say if there was two I'Cies and a few others in the house, talking about practically going to battle...I'd highly doubt they'd mind anyway." He thought to himself and realised what he was thinking about as he did feel a little sad.

 

Omega's gaze strikes over to Jenny from her mentioning of Ultima. "You're right. They won't reach Cocoon. PSICOM already reported their location to the Sanctum yesterday and plans to hit them with a preemptive strike," he begins to explain, "The l'Cie army is an army of magic, barely any physical capability. It's useless against the Sanctum in this day and age. They've been preparing for this since the last attack on Cocoon and have since then developed manadrive armor that generates a constant Reflect effect. Only high-powered stuff like Ultima and Meteor can pierce it. None of the Crystal L'Cie are capable of that kind of power. They have no idea what they're getting into." He starts to eye her suspiciously. "By the way...who are you? Really?" he calmly demands. In preparation of a quick draw, he sets a hand over the hilt of Masamune.

 

After hearing them all talk and discuss the groups, Mya nodded and followed Grey out. In her experience, she had complications talking to guys since it makes her feel awkward, but if they were going to save Jenny, the need to start making up connections. So...you're Grey right? You probably already know me, but I'll make sure. I'm Mya.

 

Mia got ready to go Cocoon. She sighed and hoped the others would be okay, saving Jenny. Mia gripped her spear, remembering what Snow told her. 'This time, I will get stronger...... Strong enough to protect everyone......' She sighed and looked out her window, staring at the crystal tower.

Jenny' kept smiling at Omega and added, "Oh, don't you worry about them. It may be true that Cocoon is much more prepared for them than they would have been centuries ago. But my army comes with a twist," she casually dropped a hint to her true nature. "About who I am. I will let Cid answer your questions once he arrives." She turned around and walked to the center of the apex, "Let's just say...I'm the first!" She yelled the last word and a roar was heard deep in the tower.

"We're heading out soon," Leo told Ryou as he approached him. "Are you sure you're good to go?" Leo was now regretting saying that Ryou should go. For some reason, he was getting a very bad feeling about the coming events.

"As long as I have a want. I have a reason for living. Satisfaction is death."

Cid smiled at the boy before replying, "Oh, you'll make an entire army of friends!" His body started glow as a shadow flew over them. "For now, that's all you have to worry about, young hero. Your questions will be answered soon. Freyja! Are you ready to go? I'll summon a Wyvern for us!"

Ryou looked to Leo who approached him, he could somehow tell that Leo regretted that he was coming along after just being nearly killed by Omega as Leo rubbed his head. "Of course I am, like I said, don't worry about me, I took this training on before Light and Snow even came here." Ryou said as he moved his arms. "Besides, even if I was attacked that badly, I knew what the consequences of fighting Crystal I'Cie was about so I was prepared." He said calmly.

 

Mya nodded and nervously looked away. Yea...exciting. She felt so awkward. So...umm...Lightning and Snow. They're from the past right? She now felt stupid asking such obvious questions.

 

Noah stared up wide eyed at the beast looming over them "Whoa....." he said slowly and just then the gravity of this new situation began to sink in "Im gonna be a hero" he said, his voice quiet until it became an uplifting laughter that echoed in the land scape around him.

 

Lightning watched Leo's reaction to Akira. Her affection for the boy would go unrequited. Sighing she brushed back her hair and adjusted her gloves, "Come on Snow. We'd better get a move on before everyone gets nervous and stupid." She felt nervous herself, having only fought one Crystal l'Cie before. Raines was tough enough and now fighting another one after such a long time. Light held the door open and silently glared at everyone with her pale blue eyes, "Come on, there's nothing worse than a nervous soldier."

Akira watched everyone sadly. Her friends...at least some of them were her friends...she'd be leaving most of them behind to follow Lightning to what she hoped was the beginning of her destiny. She followed Lightning out the door, glancing at Grey and Mya. They seemed nice, but you could never tell with some people. Keeping to herself she waited.

 

Ryou heard Light's words and he nodded, ready for the journey as he looked to the others within the group he was in. "We'll do our job Light and...I'm sure we'll all meet again soon." He said to reassure her as he stepped outside and looked to Leo who decided to become the leader for Cocoon's party.

Ryou wondered what Cocoon looked like now as well as it's condition but he had no idea what there would be so in the end, he figured he might as well take in what there is to see and complete the mission with everyone else as he chuckled a bit. "I'm thinking like Light now, that's a new one." He thought to himself, the woman was certainly a strict teacher but with good reasons for doing so and he'd admit to himself he had fallen for her within his mind, of course, no-one else knew that but he never focused on daydreaming and took his training seriously.

"I'll have to ask Light about her sister, Serah sometime." He thought once more as he remembered what she said wen he collected the knife, it must be a touchy subject for her since she was in crystal for a long time and didn't know what happened during that time.

 

The roar from below came from beneath the tower itself. Although Omega has heard countless monster roars in his life, there was only one that actually instilled fear in him. This was that roar. And it screamed of vengeance. "Do you have ANY IDEA what you've DONE?!!" he screamed at her. Although he wasn't exactly sure how she or someone else managed to do undo the seal, a mix of pure rage and fear swelled within him nonetheless.

 

Mia got ready to go Cocoon. She placed her spear on her back and looked at the horizon, staring toward the crystal tower. Wondering about Cocoon, Mia walked to Snow. She was nervous about asking him, but decided to not. "Snow....... thanks for the support. I promise to become stronger........" She said to the older l'Cie.

 

Freyja who was focused more on her battle and hadn't paid much attention to the on goings of Cid and the boy looked up and nodded her head, not even making a single look of emotion her face as she lowered her gun and jumped up into the air and did a back flip through it and landing near the two. She slid her gun back into it's back holster to let it cool down and put her hand on the smaller magnum in her side holster.
" Fine go ahead, whatever will get us ticket out of here faster would very much help at the moment."

Jenny laughed as the tower shook slightly. "When were you under the impression that Dahaka was gone?" She twirled around in a semi-dance with her arms spread out. "Everything's falling to place~" she said in a singsong voice. "I wasn't expecting you to bring me back here, but oh, my Omega," she stopped spinning and smiled at him, "Your own agenda only helped to further my own."

"Well, let's get going then. We've got a girl to save," Snow chuckled as he placed a hand on Mia's head. "And you all," Snow looked at who all was left, "You got a world to save!" He hoped that would inspire them as they all started to walk out. "Lynnea can stay here and guard Oerba while we're gone. We'll have a big feast when we come back! Light's treat!" He chuckled as they left Oerba.

Leo watched Snow and Lightning leave with Akira, Grey, and Mya. "Well, then...shall we go?" He asked Ryou and Mia. "Cocoon won't save itself?" He looked at Ryou, hoping his friend was better. "We'll probably all make it to Taejin's Tower, but then," Leo shrugged as the plan registered, "They'll go in and we keep going past the springs and to Cocoon."

Cid grinned at Freyja's words. With this boy...he shook his head, refusing to think of the grand scheme until it was put to place. "Here...we...go!" He said as his body started to glow. The outline of a brand could be seen through his torso until he was enveloped in light. The light then left his body and formed a ball. Within seconds, the ball started changing shape before him. The light started to fade, leaving a Zirnitra floating in front of them. Its eyes were glassy, resembling Cid's current crystal skin. In the place of a pupil and iris, there was a tiny brand. "Up, up, and away?" Cid asked as he pointed to the wings. "Ladies first," he said it politely, but joked, as he got on first. "Come on, boy, it won't wait forever."

Mya frowned at Snow. She disliked his cockiness as always. She examined her gunblade and sheathed it. Well time to leave. She looked back at Oreba, hoping she would live to see her hometown again. She shook the thoughts out of her head and walked towards Snow and the others.
