Final Fantasy XIII is the best game

I concur, just because VII was great doesn't make all the others bad.

It's like saying because A&W Root Beer is great, all other root beers are terrible. Just doesn't make sense.

I'd say VII is the Jones Soda of Final Fantasy. Unique when it first came out, loved by many then; still loved now but difficult to track down. And yet when you find it you feel incredibly proud of yourself.

and yes...I am sure that FFVII is great..I havent gotten it yet lol I have like...5 other FF's to beat first. but yes...I hope to enjoy it :3

 

See that's the thing, everyone's tastes are different. I didn't like XIII and VII, yet, I like loved XII and VIII.

 

and thats fine...I really want to like XII bad! lol I may replay it...cause their was a huge like...year...gap between me putting it down and then playing it again. so that might be why I didnt like it.

and as for VIII, I honestly screwed up with my characters and their levels, and I am sorry but Squall ****ing pisses me off with his HUGE emo-ness. I cant stand how...anti social he is, it just makes me mad.

I will have to start over just to fix my mess ups...there is 30 hours I wont get back :/

 

Final Fantasy II is the cautionary tale of the series imo.

 

I used Aerith a lot, so at the point of the game I was just going. "PHEONIX DOWN YOU FOOL! People die in your party constantly, why do you let her stay dead?"

 

this is a good point....you could carry a dead person in your party the whole game and bring them back at the very end...WHY CANT YOU BRING HER BACK!!!

 

Okay, you've got me there. There might be a loose parallel there, but I'm not gonna mention it.

Doesn't mean that Lightning can't be an alternate universe version of Cloud. Spiritual Successor (think Blood Gulch and Valhalla) is also possible. Either way, there's never been any expy in any Square game that I'm aware of that wasn't somehow related to the original character. Keep in mind that this only applies to series.

Sazh is awesome and just a little bit hot headed. Barret is too. They also both use similar weapons, the only difference being that Barret has his grafted into his arm. Both have teary backstories, both of which involve ensuring the safety of their children. Both take badass up to eleven. Therefore, it would be the best thing ever if they were somehow connected.

As for Hope and Dio, it would just be awesome. There is no 4srs in that theory.

And hey, at least I didn't try to equate Snow to Tifa. As cool as that would be, no. I still ship Aerith with Vanille though. IT'S CUTE DAMMIT!

 

I have come to a realization

Final Fantasy is Twilight in RPG form

 

The ultimate revelation has come forth.

 

Ironic that two of my favorites feature the least of that and, in turn, are pretty much the least liked

Of course that could easily be the brainwashing talking, which is kind of a horrifying thought ;_;

Just saying. Sure it could've been better, but i looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it for what it is.

Saying that, the only FF game I haven't loved with as much passion as a fat man and his Twinkie was FFXII. >| Though lately I've had the serious cravings for FFIX and X. <3
