Well, to be fair the music in the beginning of the trailer is actually FFXIII music, and not made specifically for XIII-2. I do think that maybe they could be pulling an X-2 blunder, but let's hope not, and that this game turns out to be more than just fan service that is scattered all over the place with flashy displays.

FFX-2 was good in it's own way. I do agree that the story wasn't much but the gameplay was great - one of my favs. And aye, you'd be right in that respect that it's about a new chapter in Lightning's life. The creator said he wanted t make Lightning happy. And I've read that the armour is related to Etro.

lol, the only part that sounded similar to FFX-2 was the part at the very end.

you guys might wanna check this out....its an English voiced trailer of XIII-2.

Now im not sure if its a fake..but it has the Alli Hills (i think is her name) the voice actor of Lightning talking.

I dont recall Lightning saying the stuff she says in the trailer from the first game...then again...she talked alot and its easy to forget things. But the "Etro" she speaks of is in XIII's lore and also what Final Fantasty Wiki is talking about that they think this game is going to be.

No, I read it and I have read episode one. It only really goes into why Lightning wanted to leave. Then something 'bad' happens. It doesn't go into much detail as to what.

And to say it's a Cosmos/Chaos plot is right, cause ever FF game follows the same basic plot. Good vs. Evil, Light vs darkness, cosmos vs chaos etc etc. xDD

For those worrying this game will be like FFX-2.

So, we know that Lightning is going to travel to the Invisible World... for Etro (?)

i really enjoyed this video because it gave a little more understanding to Fal'Cie and why they are in the world.

im getting more and more excited for this game because i think Square created a very huuuuuge universe and every game that comes from it will just get better because the story is very well set.

I might have to get my hands on XIII-2 cause it seems like it won't disappoint me. Since I'm a good fan of FF of course ^_^ I wonder why I didn't know about this before o.0

I'm quite glad they're making a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII. It was a good game. Personally, I think FFXIII was just a taste of what Square Enix is changing up in their ongoing Final Fantasy franchise. With XIII-2 they could easily work out a less linear game and make it more wide open with areas like the Plains of Pulse where the world just opened up and you could see for miles. Also, it gives them a chance to improve the battle system too. I like it though the way it was, but maybe attempt to put Final Fantasy Versus XIII's battle system in there and see what it can do. Also, this gives Lightning more of a chance to develop and hopefully give us a more in-depth explanation about what it means to be "born anew." So, we'll see what happens.

I just hope they don't do the same thing they Did to FFX. Seriously, I didn't like FF X-2. >_>

They probably won't, FFXIII was like a big cash-in and they worked so much on the game's graphics and such, making it so fa,r the best FF game on PS3/Xbox360 and they'd want to tie up loose ends since the ending did crystalize Fang & Vanille and in truth, we want all of the gang to be together.

Nomura or one of SE said they designed Light's room or house and the data was enough to make ANOTHER game, so I figrue they were planning ona sequel is copies sold at a oustandign rate, which they did.

    Who's Noel again?
    He looks amazing.

    And yay, Serah, fighting ♪

    Also, Paradigm Shifts?
    Wasn't that a l'Cie-only feature and
the l-Cie extinct with the exception of Crystal Vannile & Fang?

    lol, hater gonna hate? xD

The pictures don't really show anything of what the battle system is like. I for one liked the battle system in the first game and have no problem if it's similar in this game. A lot of people did like the battle system. Though, SE have stated that the system has been revamped slightly.

And as for the tutorial, this is more than likely taken from the demo that will be available at E3 next week. So obviously they have to make it idiot proof since not everyone who will play the demo will be gamers.

And I don't recall 'count' as being an indication of the number of enemies left. You may be right, but there's no suggestion in the picture that you are. You've awready doomed the game before you actually know anything about it.

Noel is a new character, and from the look of his clothing he's probably a Gran Pulse native (His clothing is similar to Fang's).

Nah, there is still Fal'Cie out in Pulse, so there's always a chance of humans becoming L'Cie, but it's a good question. My guess would be that Serah and Noel are L'cie, but I couldn't guess as to why since Noel apparently saves Serah when her town is attacked. Unless there's another explanation as to why they can use magic and such.

I meant it was an indication of the time left before the enemy attacks, as in FFXIII.
And yes, if the gameplay is more or less the same as in FFXIII (real time single player over simplified gameplay) then I don' t need to play it to doom it.

That' s the thing, "slightly" just won' t cut it for me.
I may end-up buying a second-hand game out of curiosity for the story, but I sure won' t give a single cent to SE for such a gameplay.
Regardless of the fact that it has nothing to do with what I call Final Fantasy I think it' s the dullest gameplay I' ve ever seen in a, urm ..., "RPG".

    Exactly. ^^
My hatred is entirely aimed at SE, don' t mind me.

You're probably right, Cocoon people aren't that used to fighting and he can't be someone who was born on the "new" Pulse and all.

Right, forgot Atomos and a few still exist.
And Noel & Serah likely have a different Focus.
Maybe Serah's Focus is to find Light , and not just something she wants to do on her own, but something she has to do because of whatever reason the Fal'Cie fear (I mean, it's said that Light has more potential without I'Cie powers, somewhere)?
Who knows, i hope it's something along those lines, having non-I'Cie permament party members i mean, and maybe party members giving up their powers and getting new ones extremely similar, like Light seems to be going to.

...Personally gonna hate if the is explanation is just that they all use Manadrive Magic >_>

So, it doesn't show anything of the battle system, despite the fact that the interface is almost identical to the one in FFXIII? Seriously, the only difference between the XIII interface and the XIII-2 interface is that XIII-2 appears to not have the stagger meter, which, honestly, will probably remove more of what little interactivity XIII had.
