Square-Enix Final Fantasy XIII-2?

Gameplay = bleh
Story = good

Fix gameplay, then we'll talk.

 

They would have to change/fix the gameplay, cause no one would want to play the exact same gameplay from XIII. They need to vary it.

And the domain expires in 2013? Dunno if that is true but it'd be nice if it were. If there is to be a sequel then it'd be announced soon.

 

I say it was more the other way round, the gameplay was decent but the story was pretty weak.

If there was to be a XIII-2 I want to know more about the world, there was nice character development but unlike other games I didn't know anything about the environment around them. It had a very interesting world and barely went into it.

 

The battle gameplay was decent but I didn't like the ridiculously linear path. It was like it was desperate to be like popular Western games while still being a popular Japanese game (I think someone mentioned Uncharted being a bit of a inspiration for making it not-so free roam).
I didn't like the story, at the start I only really liked Snow, Sazh and the Chocobo chick. By then end of the game I only liked Sazh and the Chocobo chick.
I'd totally buy a game if it was FFXIII-2: Chocobo Chick Adventures.

 

I'd love to see a sequel to FFXIII, though they'd have to get Versus and Agito out of the way first.

 

i loved FFXIII it was amazing! yeah the game play wasn't the best but i really enjoyed the story...so if they made a sequel i would get it...


but they should worry about Versus and Agito first...and then have the game almost made before they reveal it...and then actually put it on the market 4 years later...just saying

Trailer looks neat. Not too surprised though really looking forward to Verses...now that looks cool. :3

 

After watching the trailer, is Lighting now a knight or something? That's what it looked to me. And what about the rest of the main cast? Snow and Serah are married now, I presume.

 

LOL I've been reading through articles since like 3:30pm. Well I hope they do fix the problems from the first game. Lightning looks pretty awesome, just hope that they've learned from their squeals *coughfinalfantasyx-2cough* So it better be freaking good. <3 Trailer is interesting I wonder what the story is.

 

Apparently, this armor was inherited from Etro. If this is the case, then it seems they're gonna go around the mythos. And I hope they do, because FFXIII was kinda really iffy on explaining things. And to understand the story, you'd have to do all the sidequest stuff, which just sucks.

They failed to explain how Etro is one of the gods in the Fabula Nova Cristallis and how she is involved with the whole story.

Seems like they're counting on the sex-appeal of female-Cloud even more in this game, which is cool I guess, just hope they won't make the cover so awkward this time xD

Well anyway, I'm actually looking forward to this more than I ever did for the original, just the title art is so much more awesome! I love it.
Though if I'm actually gonna buy it they have to drastically change the gameplay.

I still think that Square should have just focused on getting Versus out the door instead of making another FFXIII game.

 

Final Fantasy XIII -Episode i- covered a bit of what happened after the game and why Lightning's by herself.

 

I'm not much on the whole mythos and backstory of FF1X!!! but I think i've played about 1/3 through the game already and i'm interested in it, so a sequel to it might be interesting and hopefully more developed gameplay wise.

 

I had my suspicions Etro would be more involved in this game (Since I think she had a role in the ending events of the first game). The English version of the trailer is up, which came as a surprise. I thought they would only release the Japanese version today but it's a good sign that they're caring for us too. :'D

She makes a lot of references to time in the trailer. lol, the first thing that came to mind was TIME TRAVEL! xD

Anyone else think the man is from Pulse? More importantly, will Fang be in it? <3

 

At least they are keeping the tradition by giving the lead female a one leg show alive.

 

Is it only me or the music in this trailer sounds 90% the same from FFX-2 ? What are they trying to do anyway? Not to mention that her outfit has a half skirt or whatever like Yuna's and it seems as they are doing a similar thing in terms of plot, especially judging by the change in her outfit. I'll be fair though about this, i don't know anything about the story so i could be wrong, but the music... lol Yuna's Ballad

 

Not really. I don't think SE are silly enough to repeat what they did with FFX-2. How can you say it's similar in terms of plot? We don't even know anything about it. xD

 

FFX-2 was good imo. Maybe not that much plot wise, but still good. Yeah, anyway, i mean it in the way that it seems that Lightning is getting in a new chapter in her life and that this change is represented as with Yuna via a change in her outfit. I could be wrong, and maybe that armour even has a purpose but as a person who hasn't played FFXIII, seeing this, all i can think of is FFX-2 all over again xD And the music isn't helping much to make me feel different.
