I'm sort of that person as well. I mean, there are moments when I might think, but when you look at it, he's kinda thinking about what he's doing. "Go in and find a way to save Sareh," that's his plan. He just goes in all punching.

seriously? They're actually making editions? Not too mention, isn't kinda unfair for those of us that can't even buy it yet since we don't even have a PS3? (we all know I'm talking about me). Still, those editions better not have anything too good from the normal one

What confuses me is the Namco part.

I've been looking around to see if there's any confirmation of these editions coming to the US, but if I'm not mistaken, there's still no news on it.

Also, as I've said before, they seem to be going completely in the monster route. And here I thought it was supposed to be an improvement over XIII? If they smear guest characters in your face, and don't let you use them in your party or force you to use monsters...Oh god please no. They better have a good explanation as to why they'd do something so cheap.

maybe they wanted to bring something like the beast tamer back into the game? I mean, didn't they have that in Final Fantasy X-2 as well?

I got to play the demo version yesterday at the MCM Expo in London.
It had Serah and Noel fighting a giant hand invisible giant boss thingy. It was pretty cool. Afterwards, I got to run around as Noel and get into some random fights.
Overall, I was looking forward to the game before, but now I want it more than ever.

The fights and cutscenes, everything about it were pretty darn good. I think they definitely learnt their lessons after FFX-2 since they've kept all the good things about the original FFXIII in this, at least in the terms of system as well as adding some good new features.
Of course, you already know all of that, but yeah. I just thought I'd drop by to tell you I actually got to play a bit of the game (well... the demo, yeah. XD).

It seems like the Atlus boss battle demo is everywhere. E3, the Japan Expo, and I think it was at TGS.

There were good things about a game that plays itself?

If you look at what I said:

"They've kept all the good things about the original FFXIII"

I didn't specify what was good and what wasn't good. My statement doesn't say anywhere that XIII-2 has kept everything XIII has, 'nor was I referring to the auto-battle system or whether is was good or bad.

Also, I would like to remind that you didn't have to use the auto-battle feature in XIII. You could select things manually if you so wished, as a lot of players including myself chose to do.
You had the choice of letting the game play itself, or actually playing it. And even then, auto-battle still involved some strategy and input on your part thanks to the paradigm shifts.

Of course, everyone has an opinion, and you are naturally entitled to yours. I just thought I'd defend my statement here.

At least you can switch the party leaders in battle. That's a good improvement.

Again, there were good things about a game that played itself?

Considering that the Paradigm System is the only thing that they kept, what else could you be referring to?

You could, but there was no reason not to since you're just going to use the same abilities the computer would.

Here's the strategy in all except the Eidolon bosses:
All out attack paradigm, balanced paradigm, healing paradigm, switch between these depending on how much you need health. You could throw in a support paradigm, but all that does is mean you can use the balanced paradigm instead of the healing paradigm more often. There's no real strategy involved and all you really end up doing is running through corridors and pressing X X X X L1 X X X.

They are getting better with the boxart (makes me wonder what Versus XIII's boxart would look like). But I would like to see Serah's CG Render from that poster somewhere on the boxart as well. Eh, Lightning still makes this boxart awesome.
