Square-Enix Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster

Missing the point, which is that X-2 has to be one of the most unnecessary sequels to a perfectly concluded game in recent memory.

The only redeemable part, in my opinion, was the combat system...and seeing Yuna in short-shorts but that's just me >.>

 

I'd say XIII-2 was more unnecessary, not only is it a sequel to one of the least liked FF games, but they actually retconned the ending of the original to do it. X at least had the ambiguous fate of Tidus to serve as a sequel hook.
I also don't see how providing proof that the game had received acclamation is missing the point when you said only one of the games was acclaimed

I mean no offense, but you're, once again, missing the point: even if major reviewers may have liked it, as an installment of the Final Fantasy series, barely any fan that I know of or have heard from (until, well, this thread actually) cared for the game. I'm not saying you can't enjoy it, just that, as a general consensus among the majority of the fanbase for Final Fantasy, X-2 could have not happened and many people would be fine, if not happier.

As for what Sara said about Yuna and Brother, it struck me as off originally, but I didn't mind it in the end. My video games don't have to agree with my societal preferences for me to enjoy their society, if that makes sense?

I never got around to playing X-2 or finishing X, simply reading synopsis and watching cutscenes. Granted, that has made me love the idea of both games without actually having played them. I'll probably get this as soon as I could.

 

Besides, I highly doubt either Brother or Yuna have the slightest clue about the consequences of inbreeding. if there even are any on Spira that is, Incest might have been frowned upon by Yevon, but I don' t see why either of them would care about that.

I see they also changed their face models. I'd love to see some HD Dressphere stuff in the future.
