Final Fantasy X-2: Resolved Dreams

Dean walked down the steps of the stadium and on the way out he wasn't going to watch someone's game other than the Gullwings, besides the game lasts for like ten minutes with a half-time thrown in and heard someone. "Hope you can stay for the game, Gilgamesh. Everyone deserves a break."

Dean noticed Kari and blinked at who she was speaking to, it seemed liek he was a guy who carried wya too many weapons but it didn't seem to slow him down at all. "You can say that again Kari." He said aloud, waving as he approached the two.

 

Kari looked up and smiled at Dean. "Think Lukya did okay?" She watched the current game that was playing.

Lukya watched the game and smiled, holding Starlight gently while her own machina pet, Boota, watched from her shoulder. She sighed and waited for the Gullwings to play, happily waiting to cheer for her teammates.

 

Dean looked at her and back to the stadium. "She may ahve a great burden on her shoulders but she's coping well with the pressure, escpeically with Daichi being there." Dean said, rubbing his dark blue hair. "But she's stronger than everyone thinks her to be, she wants to do her best for Spira and in turn honor the Guado's existence and Seymour's memory." He continued as he was being quite perceptive.

"Of course, she knows she can do anything as long as she doesn't give up." He chuckled at his choice of words there, he was literally saying those words constantly, maybe that's why people come around him and change for the better, just like back home.

 

"...It's been a while since I've had to go underwater." Daichi murmured, taking off his coat and passing it to Maylene who had offered to look after it for him, since he couldn't really play with such a thing on.
"Oh you'll be fine Daichi. I'm sure you haven't forgotten how to hold you breath forever."
"No. It's not that, it's just one of the last times was when..."
"When he was still here, right?" Haruka chimed in.
"Yeah. He was one of the best players I've ever seen, besides Wakka and Kari. I never got to see Sir Jecht play, but I imagine..." Daichi paused. "I'm sure you already know."
"Well... thanks to my Aeon's powers, I got to see a lot of your journey. There is also the fact I was here when I saw the Aurochs play, remember I used to work here."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I'm pretty jealous I can't play with the Gullwings too, but well... the team is full without me, so... I'll just be here on the sidelines."
"I didn't know you could play Blitzball." Maylene looked at Haruka with a confused expression.
"I used to sneak a use of the sphere pool on a few occasions, and working here, I just practised in my own time. When I was playing, the fact that I have no memory just didn't seem to matter."
"Hmm..." Daichi nodded. "Well... He was the Auroch's secret weapon in that tournament back then... We have a new secret weapon now, and I doubt anyone will expect it to be the High-Summoner of all people."

 

Kari smiled and nodded. "Remember to cheer for the Gullwings since Rikku is playing too." She headed for the locker room and stretched, getting ready for their game.

Yuna noticed Kari when she entered and asked, "How was Lukya's speech?" "You could tell she was nervous, but overall did a good job. You know she'll be cheering for us when we play." Aqua smiled and nodded as she got off her cloak, gently laying it on the bench.

"Not to worry! The Gullwings shall win the cup this year and win the fabulous dress-sphere in the Sphere Break tournament!!!!!" Brother said, looking proud at the thought of what kind of dress-sphere would be given away at the Sphere Break competition. Lockon couldn't help but sweat drop, he had to ask Brother, "Seriously.........?"

Lukya felt a presence and looked to see Rei. "Oh, Rei, what are you doing here?" "Thought I should protect you from mobbing by crazy fans. Daichi probably seriously hurt me if I didn't."

 

Dean had a fiant red on his cheeks when Kari mentioned Rikku. "Hey now, just cause Rikku''s on the team doesn't mean I'm only rooting for her!" He protested but kari was logn gone before he turned to Gilgamesh and he blinked. "And you are who?" he asked as if he just noticed Gilgamesh was even there.

 

Gilgamesh looked over at Dean and let out a loud laugh "I am the greatest swordsman who seeks the great blade of legend and warriors who shall satisfy my great desire for a great fight" Gilgamesh said closing his eyes and kept his arms crossed "but now I seek the sacred spear...and must make haste" Gilgamesh said turning around. "Though I wish to watch this blitzball thingy I have no time to slack for my mission is urgent" Gilgamesh said and began to walk "I fear the time is nearing its end" Gilgamesh said

Ren silently stared at the unconscious Ryo laying on the bed. "I could kill you now...I can end a possible apocalypse...but I wont. I shall put all my trust into them...they shall save you Ryo" Ren said. Letting out a sigh Ren turned around and began to walk away from the bed. Silently walking he suddenly stopped walking and immediately his eyes widened

"good morning...thank you for your service but now you fall"

And with there was the sound of a blade being swung and the disgusting sound of blood being splattered

 

Kari gripped her chest suddenly as the symbols on her body glowed softly for a moment. 'What was that feeling of dread just now? I'm probably imagining things........ After we're done here, I'll go see the old man on Bikanel.' She thought to herself, staring at her hand and being snapped out of her trance by Yuna.

"Kari, it's time for us to play. Lets go!" Yuna said, smiling as she and the others followed Brother. Kari nodded and followed them, Lockon waved with Haruka and Maylene.

Rei and Lukya watched as the Gullwings swam to meet their opponents, the Luca Goers. Kari smirked at the team captain and the whistle blow with the ball being tossed as the game started. Kari grabbed the ball and swam to the Goers' goal. Lukya smiled and watched.

 

Dean heard Gilgamesh's introducion, "Reminds me of Nightburn almost." he thought and thrown a Sohere at Gilgamesh. "Why not watch that recording? It has one of the mtaches on there." he said and walked in the opposite direction to watch the Gullwings play.

 

On her way to the goal, Kari was surrounded and tossed the ball to Daichi who was open. After the ball was tossed, Kari swam through the Goers and looked back to see Yuna guarding their team goal and waiting for the finishing move. Kari smiled and swam around.

Lukya smiled as she cheered, for course she cheered for her boyfriend, Daichi, the loudest, next to Yuna or Kari. From her shoulder and wrapped in her arms, Starlight and Boota cheered for the team as well.

Rei smiled and stood back, watching the game.

 

As Kari swam near the Goers' goal, she got tackled roughly by the Goers' captain. She angrily kneed him in the gentleman's region and grinned then swam back to the locker room. "Lockon, can you play Blitzball?"

"Uh, yeah......"

"Then get over for me. Get us into the finals."

Lockon sighed, then took off his machina accessories, revealing to Haruka and Maylene his Guado features. With a small blush, he kissed Maylene's cheek then ran out to take over for Kari. Without a word, Kari ran to the airship and started it with Buddy who stayed on with Shinra, Yuji, and Shugo, heading for Bikanel. When they arrived, Kari jumped off and ran to the hut, remembering when she was there last time.

 

Try as Kari might, there was no hut for her to find, but only rubble of the original hut. Deep within the hut laid the bloody and tattered body of Ren

 

Digging through the rubble, Kari found Ren. "Old man, what happened here?! Hey, are you alright?!" Being near someone close to death, Kari groaned and gripped her chest.

 

Ren slowly opened his eyes and smiled "heheh don't worry about me" Ren said as some pyreflies escaped from his body "things have become worse unfortunately" Ren said with a sigh

 

Though Kari had a feeling about who did it, she had to ask, "Did he do this?"

 

Ren closed his eyes silently "do you really need to ask such a question. You should know the answer to that" Ren said calmly

 

"Yeah, you're right. I would take you to the airship, but I'm not sure if you'd be able to survive......." Kari looked at his body and gripped her chest before lowering her hand.

 

"heh no use saving the dead...I've been on this place for far to long" Ren said opening his eyes and looked up at the sky "heh I remember the fist time I died" Ren said

 

Kari smiled, not surprised. Rubbing her eyes, Kari said, "Any more last words before you fade completely?"

 

"yes...you must stop him. Stop Ryo before all the worlds evil is released." Ren said as he closed his eyes and pyreflies began to escape. "Its time I return to where my troublesome apprentice and his wife are. Heh he was lousy at dealing with machina but a pro with a spear" Ren said as his body vanished
