Ren sighed "don't worry about it now, when the time comes you will know" Ren said and closed his eyes "but will the spear free Ryo from him? its a gamble" Ren said

 

"It's hard to say, but I've been wondering." Kari said, tucking the gem away. "Who is this person you're talking about? I have this sphere from Gilgamesh and well, the person in it must really hate humanity for something." She took out of the sphere from her garment grid and laid it on the table.

Yuna looked at him and sighed.

 

"it took us a long time to figure it out but me and Ryo unlocked the truth of the past" Ren said taking a sip of his tea "long ago, before Sin and even before the time of Zanarkand the world was a a fearful and bloody place filled with mayhem. It wasn't until a single village thought of a way to end the disorder of the world. They believed that if all evil was banished it would make the world a utopia of peace and harmony. The village chose one innocent man and infused him with all the evil in the whole entire world. All the curses, the sins, all evils were held within him" Ren said beginning the story

 

Kari listened calmly, causally taking a sip of her tea.

 

"The man yelled out many threats on humanity. Fearing for their lives, they sealed his soul away along with all the evils of the world"It brought peace to the world but only for so long" Ren said closing his eyes "evil is something that can never be extinguished, a group oof people were unsatisfied with the peace. Their greed sought control of the world and so they sought the greatest power, all the worlds evil. They were not total fools as they knew they could not control such a powerful being so using their unique powers they shaped him into a demonic blade...a blade known as Arondight" Ren said taking a sip of his tea

 

"And now Ryo wields that blade, being comused by its hatred........" Kari said, calmly setting her cup down.

 

Ren nodded "those fools believed that with a sword that is powered by all the world's evils they would be able to do almost anything but they were unaware that the blade would corrupt them and take over. No one has be able to handle its power and eventually died. The sword went down in history have been named many different names but in the end the result was the same, ruination caused by the wielder and eventually ruination to the wielder. It wasn't until a sage killed Arondight's wielder at the time and sealed away the blade" Ren said

 

"The sage must have been pretty powerful." Kari said, looking at him. She tried to think back to the old man who made the coliseum which she and the others watched Ryo fight his clone.

 

"for him to have been able to have sealed Arondight away for so long yes he must have been" Ren said and closed his eyes "Ryo is different from the other wielders as he can actually handle Arondight's power. Using Ryo all the worlds evil and be released and Spira...no the world will fall to chaos. A threat like Sin...no they are different. Sin was a mindless beast, Arondight has a mind, a mind that can effectively use its power. Not only that, but it has a reason. It wants humanity dead so it has motivation" Ren said

 

"I'll try not to take that mindless beast comment to heart, I almost became that mindless beast but anyway. Anyway to stop it now?" Kari said. "In case you noticed, I'm no spear master. And I'm certainly no sage."

 

Ren sighed "I told you before I have no idea. If Ryo's sister has a way then trust her" Ren said

 

Kari sighed. "Fine. I'll trust Salina, she does trust me........ Tell Gilgamesh and Ryo to take care." She bowed as she stood back, and walked to the door.

 

Ren nodded and walked her out

 

Kari stepped out and walked back to the airship. Lukya greeted her as she entered the airship, Kari went to the bar and laid her head on the bar counter.

 

Ren watched Kari leave and calmly walked back inside. Once inside he entered a different room and looked down at the sleeping Ryo "I should kill you right now. I know...thats what you want me to do" Ren said and closed his eyes calmly "but I shall put faith in your friends. If they fail we will loose the greatest opportunity to prevent him from being released" Ren said

 

Buddy reset the coordinates for Besaid and flew off, Kari stared at the jewel, and sighed. Yuna smiled, heading for the cockpit. She stood beside Daichi, she said, "I wonder how Shuyin felt, casting Sleep and Stop on his only child, not to see her again for a thousand years?" Starlight flew onto her shoulder and she patted it.

 

"I don't know... but...
People will do anything to protect the ones they care for and love...
Look at how far you're going for a certain someone for example." Daichi told her, with the usual tone in his voice.

 

"And I haven't forgotten what you did for Lukya on Gagazet." Yuna said, smiling. Starlight flew to Daichi's shoulder and laid down, watching its owner talk with Rikku in her seat. Yuna sighed and touched her necklace.

 

Daichi gave a chuckle. "I didn't have much choice... but... that's life, we deal with what is put in our paths."
