Final Fantasy X-2: Resolved Dreams

"I see...... But Kari is willing to help Ryo, even if it means killing him, I guess.........." Yuna sighed.

Kari wandered the desert, looking for the old man Ryo spoke of. She took a sip of the canteen of water she brought and looked around.

 

"Nah, she won't kill him, she doesn't have the heart or will for it." Yuji said and put on a shirt and a jacket. "It's only naturla, you can't kill someone you love." He continued and removed the bandage around his head.

"She means to act tough outside and inside but by guess Kari wouldn't dare kill him."

 

Up ahead of Kari was a lone house in the desert

 

'I used to live here and traveled it before, but I never noticed it before.' Kari thought to herself as she approached the house and knocked on the door.

Yuna sighed and gripped her necklace, "That's easy for you to say.......... You never witnessed the one you love fade away before your eyes."

 

It took a while but soon old man Ren opened the door and looked at Kari "sorry about the wait, I was taking care of a guest of mine. What bring a young girl like you all the way out here" Ren said

 

"Uh, sir. I need to talk to you about something. May I come in?" Kari asked.

 

"gladly" Ren said as he opened the door widely for her to enter "make your self at home but I only wish for you to be quiet. I have a guest sleeping in the other room" Ren said

 

Kari stepped inside and stretched. She looked around the house and sighed, her hands in her pockets. "Not to rude, sir. But how do you get any guests being out here? And why would you let a complete stranger into your home?"

 

"its just a boy I know for a good while checking in" Ren said removing some prototype machina limbs from a table placing two cups of tea on it "as for why I would let you in, well you must have some reason to seek me out. Usually the only people who knock are people who are lost but you seem to know me" Ren said as he took a seat

 

Kari noticed the machina limbs and sighed, grabbing one of the cups. "The reason I'm here is to help someone I know and care for deeply. He's possessed by the darkness of the legendary sword he wields. The possibly only way to stop the darkness from coming out is a master spearman who wields the spear of light. But I'm not a master of spears, so I was wondering if you could help me."

 

"Unfortunately I cannot help you with the spearmen situation" Ren said

 

"But is there something you can do to help me?" Kari said. "I doubt anyone can help with the master spearman problem, but there should be an alternative, right?"

 

"Unfortunately there is no way I can think of. I once had an apprentice who was a master spearsmen but he has passed away" Ren said

 

Kari sighed and took out the gem Ryo sent to her, "Well, I guess there's nothing else for me but watch the one I love fall into darkness. Damn Ryo, you always have to worry me!!"

 

"well from what I have heard Ryo's sister gave you a gem" Ren said

 

Kari looked at him, surprised, and nodded, taking the gem out. She held out for him to see.

 

"you should trust the girls words and believe in what she said" Ren said

 

"I don't know if I will summon him at the right time. What if it's the wrong time, I would used up the gem's use." Kari said, looking at it.

 

"that is something that your heart will tell you" Ren said

 

After a sigh, Kari closed her eyes and focused on the gem. She tried listening to her heart as she held the gem, focusing her thoughts on finding the spear master.
