Final Fantasy X-2: Resolved Dreams

Thanks to Kari's help, Haruka was able to pull both Maylene and herself back up.
She rolled over on the floor, panting heavily. "That was too close..."

Maylene was in Kari's arms in a state of shock. She would have just died if it weren't for Haruka...
"I... I..."

 

Kari hugged Maylene the way she used to hug Lukya after the incident to calm her down. "It's alright, Maylene. You're safe now. You're safe............" Rei took Yuna and they looked around for more traps. Lukya walked up and knelt beside them, putting her hand on Maylene's shoulder.

 

Maylene's breathing eased up and she calmed down a little as she had buried herself into Kari's shoulder.
"I'm ... I'm fine.."
She looked over at Haruka who was still lying on her back and panting slightly from having to move so fast.
"Thanks Haruka... you saved my li-"

"Don't mention it... I'd save you guys no matter how many times I had to..." she told Maylene... faking a smile as her pupils slowly turned back to normal.
She would save any of her friends no matter what anyway, regardless...
but... after that last vision... where she actually witnessed one of her friends dying...
she never wanted to feel that way again... the way that Haruka had felt. She never wanted to have to see such a sight no matter what it took...
So wait? ...it isn't just past events I can see?...
The future? No... that wasn't it...
it's more like... a possibility... What could happen... or... I dunno...
what the hell is up with me?!... Why am I seeing these things?!...
although... if it wasn't for that... she looked over at Maylene and sighed..

 

Kari rubbed her hands along Maylene's back and sighed. "At least, it was better than what I went through." Rei and Yuna returned, having deactivated the traps.

 

Haruka was still on the floor, she felt tired...
She wasn't sure if it was over-exerting herself to save Maylene or the vision itself... but she felt tired.
"We kinda heard... You left your commsphere on...
At least the stuff in Kilika makes sense now..."

Maylene felt herself relax more thanks to Kari.
"I'm okay to keep going... sorry guys... I just needed a moment. I'm done now." she said a little shakily.
Besides... this must be horrible for Lukya... seeing her home transformed like this... she thought weakly, as she looked over at her.

 

"I can't believe LeBlanc did this to my home. I'm sure the past leaders of Guado would be disappointed as well.......... Including my father and my brother........." Lukya said, her voice softening when she spoke of her brother.

 

Maylene slowly climbed out of Kari's arms and went to hug Lukya. "This isn't your fault at all Lukya... And I'm sure they wouldn't be disappointed with you...
Of course... this just means you have to kick Leblanc's ass harder in retaliation. If anything, that would make your father brother and anyone else happy, ya think?"

"Yeah, if anything... they wouldn't want you to feel bad about this I'm sure. They'd want to see you happy instead. So... we should keep moving so you can kick some Leblanc weird dressed butt!" Haruka said, finally sitting up.

 

Lukya smiled and hugged Maylene. "Now that I think on it, Seymour told me something once. 'Even if you no longer consider it yours, protect the home which you were raised and grew in.' I will do that, but only with all my friends by my side." Lukya nodded, and the group continued to search. They found a room, Rikku said, "It's gotta be in here, right?"

"Let's split up and look." Paine said, later both Rikku and Paine shouted, "Found it!" "Huh?" Yuna asked, finding one of the fragments, Rikku handed her the other fragment, Paine said, "Now I get it. I was wondering why they'd bother stealing half a broken sphere." "Of course! They already had the other half!" Rikku shouted.

"Very good, loves." Leblanc appeared with Logos and Omri.

 

AS if on cue suddenly Ryo jumped out and sent a kick to Omri who toppled over and crashed into Logos. Standing right behind Leblanc was Ryo with his arms crossed and a satisfied grin "well that was quite fun" Ryo said looking over at Yuna's group "you honestly believed that Kari was able stop me? you underestimate me dearly. After all the sphere will belong to me" Ryo said looking over at Omri and Logos who were proceeding to get up. Drawing a broadsword Ryo closed his eyes "well I will take care of these two. I know somebody wants to face Leblanc" Ryo said looking over at Lukya with a smile

 

"She's all yours." Haruka grinned at Lukya.

"Oi! Ryo! One of those guys is mine. I wanna see how they feel dangling over a spikey pit trap." Maylene growled, showing her fangs.

 

"Alright then have your pick at one of them you want" Ryo said looking over at the pink ronso. wait a minute I think I know her...yeah I met her on Salina's pilgrimage. The pink fur doesn't lie Ryo thought to himself and looked over at the two in front of him and gripped his sword "lets end this quick" Ryo said

 

With Logos and Omri occupied with Ryo and the rest of the female Gullwings, Lukya and Leblanc stood apart from each other. Holding her fan, Leblanc smirked and said, "You know, it's rather rude to enter someone's home uninvited. I'll smash you as the weakling as you are."

Lukya sighed, unlike Kari, Lukya turned her commsphere on to let the others hear in on the conversation. Her gun began to vanish and her clothes started to shine as she spoke, "Like you're one to talk, Leblanc. This home already belongs to someone, the leader of the Guado, me. And the weakling here is you, who decided just because the mansion was empty, it was yours, unaware that it was already taken. I'll show you that no one messes me or my people." By the time she was finished, her outfit had changed into the dress-sphere Luna gave her and in her hands were the two katana.

 

Yuji blinked as he heard from the commsphere "Geez, remind me not to get on anyone's bad side." Yuji mumbled as Brother was still remarkbly out of it, he hated to admit it but Yuji actually enjoyed the peace and quietness of no Brother antics.

 

Lukya and Leblanc were deep into their fight, Leblanc's fan was no match for Lukya's twin katana. She was putting her anger into the strength and swing of the katana. Tapping into the Ronso Rage abilities, she used Thrust Kick and Fire Breath on Leblanc, causing her to surrender. "Well? Want another helping of your just desserts?" Rikku said, smiling. Paine said, "No one's gonna hear you scream from down here."

"W-Wait a second! I'll let you see what's in the sphere!" Leblanc said, Kari asked, "Let us?" "Please, the sphere is yours to watch." She said, placing the two fragments together, the group watched a video of Vegnagun.

 

Ryo watched the sphere as he had his foot on top of Omri who was laying down on Logos "what the hell" Ryo said

 

"That is the colossus Vegnagun. We've finished our analysis of the sphere. It appears to have been recorded underneath Bevelle." LeBlanc said, Kari sighed as Paine said, "I see Bevelle hasn't lost its old fondness for secrets." Lukya sighed and shook her head, Leblanc said, "Exactly. Those Yevon scum have been concealing that weapon all along. If anyone uses that thing, Spira is done for."

"But it's a machina! All we have to do is shakey-shake our way up to it and take it apart!" Rikku said, Leblanc sighed dreamily, "That's what Noojie's got in mind. And of course, whatever he's planning is what I'm planning. What about you?" Leblanc looked at Yuna and Ryo.

 

"huh? us?" Ryo said confused as he pointed at himself and looked at Yuna and back at Leblanc

 

"The summoners who defeated Sin ought to stand up and defend Spira again." Leblanc said, smiling.

 

Ryo sighed as he slumped and groaned "hate to say it...but your right" Ryo said and stood up straight "well I guess its time to save the world...again" Ryo said

 

Yuna sighed as Leblanc said, "So then I guess we're on the same side. We'll be waiting for you." "Waiting where?" Lukya asked, Leblanc laughed and said, "Don't be silly, love. On your airship, of course. I've always wanted to take a spin on that thing!" "Ever heard of asking?" Kari asked, but Leblance and her men left, Rikku ran after them. Yuna thought to herself, 'Sin is gone. The Calm is here. I thought our peaceful days would never end. The Eternal Calm. I really believed it would last forever...until now. I realized how fragile it can be.'
