Final Fantasy X-2: Resolved Dreams

Haruka hesitated before answering...
"...Yeah." she was inevitably a little shaken up.

"Haruka?" Maylene looked worriedly into Haruka's eyes, since Haruka was still down on one knee, she was at the same level as Maylene.
She slowly stood up.
"I'm fine..."
She forced a smile. "You guys should be celebrating for wooping that guys ass!" she told them.

... The feeling she had after that weird episode... was similar to how she had felt back in Bevelle.

 

Lukya nodded and stood up, smiling. "Yeah, you're right." Her machina mole attempted to hop onto Haruka's shoulder and looked at her. Lukya smiled and shook her head. Starlight flew onto her other shoulder.

 

Daichi shoved past Beclam, his shoulder knocking into the smaller man, causing Beclam to lose balance and fall to the floor.
"Like the pink fluffball said... and like Rikku warned.
Don't make me mad..." he snarled at Beclam. "Insulting the Summoners will do exactly that." he told him as he walked off.

"Oh! Daichi, I heard that!"
In her mind though, Maylene was happy... Daichi was just treating her how he would normally, it was a fun tease...
She was so used to being teased and taunted and insulted for her heritage... it was refreshing just to have this.

 

Yuji just listened to them. "I don't celebrate in that kind of way, it's rude." he said and walked back towards the airship, hands in pockets.

 

Maylene looked after Yuji and then at the others.
"Is he always such a party pooper?" she asked.

 

"Hard to say, we don't know him or Shugo that well." Yuna told her, following him onto the airship. "So, everyone, what do you say we all go to Luca to celebrate beating Beclem's record?"

Rikku and Kari nodded, Lukya looked at Daichi, Haruka, and Maylene, wondering what they thought.

 

Yuji sighed as he was alone but something came from behind him and without warning, covering his mouth and he was dragged away to the unknown, never seen or heard at all. "The hell...?!" he thought to himself, he couldn't use a sphere at all right now or commicate as he was tied up in rope to keep him bound and his commuicator taken,

Shugo was a bit worried. "I am getting an uneasy feeling... why?" he said to himself within the airship's cockpit, cupping a hand under his chin in thought, he didn't like what he was experiencing.

 

Kari looked around. "Shugo, where's Yuji? Thought he'd be here with you." Yuna gripped her chest and looked at Shugo, worried.

 

"Didn't he go with you guys to Besaid?" Shugo asked them, usually, Yuji was the outside fighter as he was concerned now.

 

Yuna nodded, "He did. I wonder what happened?" She put her fingers in her mouth and whistled loudly. After waiting awhile, she sighed, "I was probably kidding myself." Lukya shook her head. "It was a good try."

 

"I can smell an unfamilar presence... at least... there was someone or something close by..."
"Yeah... me too..."

 

"Unfamiliar presence?" Lukya looked at the half-Ronso in worry and concerned. Yuna looked at them and nodded. "Can you two tell us anything else?"

 

Daichi paused and walked away as if trying to follow the smell.

"Not really... it's just... well it wasn't one of us... and it was here... not anymore... but...
I'm sorry... I wish I could help some more..." she said a little glumly.

Daichi returned... "I can't find anything... whatever or whoever it was isn't here any more."

 

"And we can't follow them because we have no leads." Kari sighed and went to her seat. Lukya walked up to Daichi and hugged him, "Thank you, Daichi, Maylene, for your effort." She let go of Daichi and went to Maylene, hugging her as well.

 

"It wasn't much of an effort... it was just smelling..." she sighed and hugged back.
"I just hope we can find 'Yu' soon."

"Shugo. Any ideas?
You know Yuji better than any of us. Would anyone be after him? Or could you use that library of yours or something?"

 

Shugo raised an eyebrow. "Spira's library holds only knowledge of the world itself, it would next to impossible to filter through all of the books to trace Yuji, I tried to comm him and also speak through the DoubleGrid's telepathy function but it isn't responsive." Shugo explained before a beeping noise was heard on the commuication line.

"It's Yuji's... hold on, let me patch it through the intercom." SHinra said as a voice sounded and it wasn't Yuji's own voice. "Gullwings, I have taken the liberty of having a companion with me, of course he's held up for ransom which is hand over the one who holds the key to the world's knowledge with no aid or else..." he stopped an an audible scream was heard. "I'm afraid your man meets his end."

"Don't listen to his demands Shugo or I'll cut off our friendship right now!" Yuji's voice was heard as the same voice was heard. "How noble, he's all tied up and helpless yet he demands no-one come to rescue him, that's to be expected, bring the key to Mt. Besaid's peak tomorrow all by himself, no weapons, no dress spheres and no heroic acts. You have until the deadline ends, if any of you try to save him tonight, I'll personally make sure you'll hasten his final moments." The voice sounded and cut off.

"...What should I do? I don't know why he wants me but he'll kill Yuji..." SHugo said and Shinra spoke. "You prefer going with a plan then?" He asked and Shugo nodded. "I always prefer to be prepared but..." He trailed off before realizing someone once his partner said before. "We'll make a plan as we go along." Yuji's words echoed.

"That's just reckless..." Shugo thought as night crept upon the Gullwings.

 

Yuna stood up on the deck of the airship, thinking about what the kidnapper said. She wanted to go and save Yuji, but she didn't want anything to happen to him. She sighed and whistled loudly again, after a moment of silence, she sighed again. 'Oh, how I wish you were here to help me through this.' She thought to herself. 'If only there was something I could.......' She gripped the Zanarkand Abes necklace around her.

 

Daichi sighed heavily... there was something nagging heavily at the back of his mind.

 

"Everything okay, Daichi?" Lukya asked. Usually she would be asleep, but along with everyone else, her worry about Yuji kept her awake.

 

"You remember that guy...
who confronted Yuji before in... Bevelle was it?
The one who uses that sphere thing too.." Daichi asked her.
