Final Fantasy X-2: Resolved Dreams

"Like what, Daichi?" Yuna just listened to her.

 

Ryo closed his eyes as he walked threw the forest in Besaid and stopped once he noticed Gilgamesh and Enkidu up ahead "find anything?" Ryo asked

"I searched far and wide but my search ended up in failure. I say we should go somewhere else" Gilgamesh said

"alright then why don't we try using the Rift and see if where it takes us" Ryo said

"wha? the Rift are you sure that place is spooky. Ive been there for so long and I still finding creepy. Besides I really have no idea how to use it" Gilgamesh said

"oh come on don't tell me the great Gilgamesh is scared" Ryo said with a sly grin

"me scared? HAHAHA you forget I am the great Gilgamesh. The rift is nothing compared to my awesome might" Gilgamesh said proudly and pointed forward "let us march onwards faithful companions" Gilgamesh said

"uhh your suppose to open the Rift for us" Ryo said

"R-Right I knew that" Gilgamesh said

 

"...Having faith in me..
Asking to make me a Guardian.
Meeting you and the others changed my life..
and... well, if it wasn't for any of that. I never would have met Lukya either...
it was all of you guys. As my friends... who made me strong. Who made me who I am today.
I probably wouldn't be alive if I had continued down my path..."
Daichi sighed and leaned against a wall as he listened to the song more, picking out every perfect note with his keen hearing.
"This song makes me think about our Pilgrimage together...
It all comes flooding back. Every little detail.
All of us, every moment. Every happy and sad feeling."

 

"This song also makes me think of the pilgrimage. Especially that incident in Zanarkand." Yuna sighed, listened. "He would probably also say how the pilgrimage changed everything for him." She touched her yellow ribbon.

 

Daichi put a comforting hand on Yuna's shoulder.
"We'll find him. And drag him back here... don't worry.
You're the one who made the Eternal Calm possible.
If anyone can do this, it's you."

Daichi looked at Lukya, feeling the song flow through him.

"Love makes us stronger... makes it so we can do incredible things.
Your feelings will definitely reach him.
You know my instincts are always right. And that is what I really feel." he told her.

 

Lukya stopped when the song finished and looked at Daichi and Yuna. She smiled. "While listening that song, Yuna, I thought about all the encouragement he gave us to defeat Sin. As you believe in him, you will find him."

 

"Yeah...
you two were quite a pair." Daichi chuckled.
"It was obvious to me from the beginning. Although, I don't think you would have to be able to read people like I can to have seen it."
He commented, sure that everyone else of Team Besaid would have seen it early on too.

 

Yuna blushed deeply as Kari said over the intercom that the hunt of the seven female uniform had began. Lukya sweatdropped and smiled, "Kari's fighting spirit is burning brightly as ever."

 

Daichi nodded.
"...Well, she was the backbone behind Team Besaid."
He went over to Lukya and hugged her gently. "And you're Team Besaid's little princess as she would say."
He then smirked at Yuna. "Yuna is definitely the bed hair." he joked, trying to make her blush more as a way of cheering her up, and taking her mind away from thoughts of him... he knew it was probably impossible, but he wanted to try, even if only a little.
Yuna was strong... and he also believed in her like he did everyone else, but he was worried that she was approaching the breaking point.
His attempt of humour reminded him of the times back during the Pilgrimage that the Guardians would try and crack jokes to distract from what they once believed to be the end for Summoners...

 

Yuna smiled and asked Buddy that they go to Besaid for a bit. Lukya smiled as a machina mole with a pig tail appeared on her shoulder, once they arrived, Yuna and the group spoke with the Besaid Auroches, Datto said, "So you gave the sphere to the Youth League, ya?" "Ya, we knew you were on our side!" Jassu said.

"What do you mean?" Yuna asked, confused. Datto told her, "The Besaid Aurochs have all joined the Youth League." "Well, officially, at least. And, uh, Wakka hasn't joined up yet." Jassu corrected his teammate, Datto nodded and said, "Can't blame him, ya? His kid's popping out any minute you know. Now's not the time for him to be fussing around with politics." "Fussing, you say?" A voice said, Yuna turned to tge source, she heard from Wakka there was a new couch for the Aurochs and figured this was him.

"I am Beclem. I've been dispatched to Besaid by Youth League headquarters. I'm here to pound some fight into these pathetic slackers." He said, proudly. Jassu whispered to Yuna, "He's a hundred times stricter than Wakka." "You must be awfully confident in your strength if you're skipping training just to flap your lips like that. So, I guess you won't mind showing me what you're all really made of, then." Beclem said, the Aurochs whispered among each other. Beclem said, "Is no one among you man enough to break my record? You're pathetic."

"Okay, he's creeping me out." Rikku said, Yuna said, smiling, "Seriously." "Bye you guys, we'll come visit later." Lukya said, Datto smiled and nodded, "See you later, Yuna, Lukya!" The group began to walk away. Datto did the prayer, Beclem shouted, "Stop that at once! The age of temples and prayers is over. It's about time you let go of those musty old traditions. There's no need to bow down to summoners either. Yes, summoners are a thing of the past."

"Hold it right there! Whose Calm do you think this is, buster?" Kari said, getting into his face. He said simply, "There are no more aeons to summon. Summoners are worthless now." "You will take those words back." "I will. If you succeed in proving your worth to me. Well, what do you say?"

"You're on, Beclem!" Lukya said, Yuna nodded, he said, "The way you twaddled on before, you had best break my record. Now. Begin!"

 

"...He's coaching them for Blitzball... and yet... he is making them run a Gunners Gauntlet...
Don't worry Yuna, the guys an idiot, just ignore what he says.
Kick his records ass though." Haruka told Yuna.

"I wanna try it too! No one mocks summoners in front of me!" she snarled at Beclem, pulling out her guns.
"Of course... Yuna is first up. After all, I might not hit the right targets. Not that I'm not confident with my aim." she casually pointed a gun at Beclem's gentlemens area.

 

"Sounds like a challenge to me, but I think Beclem may just regret having Yuna run the gaunlet, let's just say... I wouldn't bet my gil on Beclem's record staying where it is." he said, crossing his arms, he knew he could probably do it with three combinations with the Gunner sphere, Cyclone for fast array of bullets, Heat for explosive power and Luna for it's lock on.

 

"Don't forget me, you two!" Lukya said, happily. "Though, I'll go after Maylene." Her machina mole looked determined and nodded. Yuna smiled at them and began to run the gauntlet, gunning down fiends and getting ammo. She made it to the beach in half of Beclem's time, and with over 2000 points. Beclem reluctantly gave her a new garment grid.

 

"My turn! My turn!" Maylene squealed, raising her hand.
She began the Gauntlet. Shooting through fiends and grabbing ammo like it was no one's business, but still at her own leisurely pace. She too made it to the beach in good speed, with just under 2000 points. Still thrashing Beclam's high score, although not as high as Yuna.
Although with Maylene... it was hard for anyone to tell if she had been holding back or not.
She stuck her tongue out at Beclam.
"Lukya! You kick his butt too you hear?!" she cheered.

 

Lukya nodded and began the gauntlet. She shot through the fiends and grabbed the ammo. She dodged when needed and smiled, making it to the beach within a minute under Maylene's time with 1000 points. Kari smiled and hugged her.

 

"Yeah Beclam, you just got beat by three girls. Who have never even run the gauntlet before." She poked her tongue out at the man again.

Haruka whispered to Rikku. "Remind me never to make a little pink Ronso mad..." as she watched the scene.

 

"Why else do you think I don't want get on women's nerves?" Yuji asked as Beclem seemed devastated. "I will say this however Beclem, never think you're above others just because they don't see things your way, you might have good intentions, but that's not all is it? It's about that Blitzball league in which the Aurochs won against the Goers isn't it? You didn't want to believe it." Yuji said before notcing he was tared at.

"What do you know?" Beclem asked and Yuji placed hands in his pocket. "I know you should never judge people by appearances, did you forget there was a Gunner on Yuna's journey too? Perhaps if he were here, he'd probably punch you or beat your score without much effort, maybe me too but I won't rain on your losses, you brought the girls upon yourself."

OOC: Just borrowing beclem briefly.

 

"Sorry if we disappointed you, Beclem, but Yuna isn't the only High Summoner." Lukya said, standing next to Maylene. Her machina mole nodded. Yuna smiled as Beclem gave them their rewards. Lukya smiled.

"Yeah, and do the same for Daichi, he's half-Ronso as well, Haruka." Rikku said, hugging Yuna.

 

I do know... Haruka thought as she looked at Daichi, she knew she wouldn't want to see him get mad, but...
Suddenly everything flashed and went purple.
Hazy images cleared up... they were in the desert... a ruins to be exact... a place being attacked. By the Guado...
She saw familiar figures, albeit younger looking.
Lukya with Longer hair and other Guardians, all without the presence of Yuna.
Her sight was pulled as if by force to a Half Ronso who got in the way of an attack, protecting two kids, before savagely killing the Guado attackers.
The scene changed... Snowy mountains.
The Guardians were all there again...
Daichi was furiously punching the floor.. Lukya was crying, the other Guardians looked a little depressed. Even Kimahri who usually looked expressionless was in a a strange way.

Suddenly, Haruka was back in Besaid... not that she had ever left.
She was on the floor on one knee... her hand over her eyes like she had just been blinded... she removed her hand from her face to reveal that her pupils were slightly dilated.
They slowly returned to normal as she eyed the Half-Ronso again.
"What was that? ..."

 

"Haruka? Are you alright?" Lukya knelt down to face her, worried. Yuna knelt down beside her.
