Final Fantasy X-2: Resolved Dreams

"Huh?" Yuna was surprised, and was the only one it seemed. Lukya smiled and looked at the others.

 

Dean came out, hearing the commotion. "You're one to hire so quickly Gippal, what's with the sudden change? last i recall, before I even came here, you had a series of questions for most interviews, or maybe it's because of women?" Dean asked, arms crossed with a slight tease.

 

"You. Are. Hired." he said each word seperately.
Don't know why a superstar like you would want to play in the sand. Well, do what you gotta do. Anyways, I've done what I can. Dig to your heart's content.

 

"Um, thanks........." Yuna said, Kari smiled and touched her chest.

 

"Show this letter to a woman named Nhadala. You'll find her in the Bikanel Desert."

Gippal gave Yuna the Letter of Introduction.

"Happy digging!"

 

Dean rubbed hsi blue hair and looked at his odl friends. "Make sure not to overheat in that place, then again...trust in Rikku and Kari says, I'll easily guess the new members haven't been there." Dean advised and headed to the monowheel. "Oh yeah and Daichi, carry TONS of water, the others will bow to you for that one." He brought his monowheel to lfie and rode off.

 

"Well, then. Lets head to Bikanel Desert." Kari said, boarding the airship. Yuna thought to herself, 'Bikanel Island. This is where the Al Bhed's beloved Home stood until two years ago. Most have moved on, but a handful of Al Bhed still live here today. They say countless machina lie buried under the desert sands.'

"Leave the trailblazing to me and Kari!" Rikku said as they began to lead the group. Later, Kari said, "Umm, Rikku, I don't think that sand dune used to be there..." After moving forward for a while, Paine asked, "Rikku, Kari, you do know the way, right?" "Uh, Rikku? Are we in trouble?" Lukya asked, the group kept running forward and later they became exhausted and were found kneeling to the ground.

 

Just then a howl echoed around the area. Running straight towards Kari was a green fiend like wolf with a sack in its mouth. Usually it meant only one thing, a gift from Ryo

 

"How could Ryo possibly be sending to me now?" Kari wondered, getting ready to fight the fiend. She remembered the last times she had gotten gifts from Ryo.

 

The green wolf simply walked up to Kari and placed the sack down in front of her and turned away. It was threw this wolf that Ryo was able to even send these gifts in the first place

 

Kari picked up the sack and stared at it as some Al Bhed came and helped the group to the camp site. She sighed and opened it, wondering what Ryo sent her this time.

 

The wolf howled as a pair of wings sprouted out of it's back and allowed the wolf to fly away. Inside the sack was a beautiful gem

 

Kari stared at the gem, it was certainly different from the other gifts Ryo sent her. She wondered where he got it and smiled, "How thoughtful of you, Ryo." She watched the wolf fly away as Yuna regained consciousness.

 

"Ah you're awake, great timing." Yuji said

"He says they had to move the camp to escape the sandstorm. We could've looked forever and never found it." Rikku said, coming from her talk to a Al Bhed. An Al Bhed appeared and told the man who Rikku was talking to about something. Rikku had a displeased look, Yuna asked, "What?" "Sounds like there's a big sandstorm coming in. It's probably too big for the airship to handle." "I guess we won't be leaving the way we came." Paine said, Kari came up, the sack tied at her hip.

 

Daichi sat in the sand a short distance away, his long coat beside him and the jacket underneath open, revealing his bare but slightly furry chest. He was a little mad with himself. They had gotten into a bad situation back there, a lot of them having lost conciousness and he hadn't been able to do much about it.
Some Protector he was..

"So... what do we do now?" Haruka asked the others. "I mean, we've already nearly been barbecued here once."
She looked over to little Aqua, "I can't imagine it's good for a kid as young as her to be out here for so long in this heat either, we gotta be careful."

 

Kari sighed and shrugged her shoulders. Yuna waited for Nhadala to appear, so they could start digging. Lukya noticed the sack and wondered what Kari got this time. Nhadala appeared at the scene. "Y cduns? E ryda cdunsc." She said in Al Bhed before Yuna and the others came to her, she said, "I'm busy, so make it fast, okay? I've got lots to excavate and no one to do it."

"Yunie, show her Gippal's letter!" Rikku said, Yuna nodded and held out the letter, she said, "I've got this letter..." "Oh, so you're the new guys!" Nhadala said, looking at them, Rikku smiled, "That's us!" "Nice to meet you." Yuna said, Nhadala looked at them and said, "Hmm. I guess the high summoner's hard up, too. Well, don't be expecting any special treatment." "Right!" Yuna said, Nhadala pulled out a map of the area and said, "Let's get to it, then." She showed them the map, and said, "Here's where we are," then pointed to where the group would be headed, "And here is where you're headed."

"Aw. But it's so far!" Rikku shouted, Nhadala smiled, "We'll send you out there by hover. Go talk to the pilot about it."

 

Yuji rubbed his hair. "I'm so enivous of Shugo now...damn him." he said as said partner sneezed. "Did Dean know this would happen?" he asked to no-one

 

"I see you got the OK to dig. Don't let us down. We'll start you out someplace safe: the Western Expanse. Where can I take you?" The pilot asked, Yuna said, "Western Expanse." "Oh, before we head out... Let me introduce you to your partner. Got a bit of a mouth on him, so try and be patient." The machina that found them appeared, it said, "Hey, sweetcakes, nice to meet you!" The group proceeded to the digging area and they were able to dig up the item Nhadala needed.
After that...

"Just what we needed! You're good." Nhadala smiled, Kari smiled, "What did you expect?" "Don't let it go to your head. But you did do a good job. Here. Your reward." She gave them gil, a new garment grid, and a Elixir. Rikku smiled, "Yes!" "Thank you!" They got ready to leave, Nhadala said, "Come back any time you like. We'll be here." Yuna smiled as they boarded, she asked, "Where to next?" "Macalania........." Lukya simply said, Buddy nodded and headed for the forest. 'It's been two years since the fayth in Macalania Temple
disappeared. They say it's affecting not only the lake, but the woods as well.' Yuna thought as they entered the forest.

Many of the Guado saw Lukya and Daichi and did the prayer, Lukya smiled and did the prayer as well. Yuna, Rikku, and Kari smiled.

 

Daichi looked around at the others, the remaining members of the old group. Of Team Besaid... Macalania all held a special meaning to them for a lot of reasons.

Haruka sat in silence thinking hard. It was rather unlike her, but the fact was... she wasn't even sure what she was thinking about. It's like she was trying to hunt her old memories in her mind. But was finding nothing at all, as usual.
