Final Fantasy vs Tales of

"Remember, overconfidence will kill you! Just remain on fighting it." Basch told Zack, as he put on his helmet and pulled out his sword, getting into his fighting pose. Holding his sword, Basch glared at the Tiamat with a look of determination and shouted, "Come at thee, beast!" He ran toward the Tiamat, slashing at it.

-Rabanastre-

Cecil nodded, running with Tidus and pulling out his sword. 'Rydia, please don't take too long. We may need your magic for this fight.' He thought to himself, holding his sword and looking at the Pluto in front of him and Tidus. He looked at Tidus and asked, grippping his sword, "I take it you know how to fight, yes?"

"Firaga!!!!!" They heard Rydia shouted, Cecil looked behind him and smiled. Rydia stood behind them, dressed in a dark green kimono top with stings attaching the sleeves to the top, she still wore her gloves and shoes while she wore a lime skirt with a yellow sash around her waist, she said, "Sorry about the delay. Hope I didn't take too long." "No, the fight is just starting." Cecil said, smiling at her as she joined them.

Lumina zipped up the jacket. "Ugh, I can't fight anymore. I'm lucky this jacket's long enough to cover everything but my legs." she said, releasing her clothes and allowing them to fall. Lumina picked them up and curled them into a ball. "So... what now?" she wondered.

 

-Zanarkand-

"We fight against this thing before finding Owari! Just stand back and watch a hero at work!" Snow said, smiling as he cracked his knuckles, then ran to the Pluto again. He delivered a uppercut punch to it and slid back, giving a thumbs up to Lumina.




-Rabanastre-

After Rydia cast a Blizzard on the Pluto, Cecil ran toward the monster and slashed at it. When he returned to Rydia and Tidus, he looked at Tidus and asked, "You are going to fight, yes?" "Of course, Cecil!" Tidus said, smiling and running to the Pluto. He somersaulted and slashed at it, he returned to Cecil and Rydia, unable to keep his eyes off her because of her similar outfit to Yuna. Putting her hands together and chanting, Rydia summoned Ifirt to attack the Pluto.




-Alexandria-

Running to the Tiamat, Basch slashed at it and watched as Zack ran to it and slashed it with his sword. He thought to himself, "The boy is strong and a good fighter. If only it didn't come to this fighting, he would a more fulfilling life. But enough of that for now.' Basch felt grateful that his helmet hid the regret he felt for Zack for fighting like this at his young age, but stayed focused on the fight against the Tiamat.

 

~Rabanastre~

Tidus was surprised Rydia could summon the Aeons as shown with Ifrit with struck with his most powerful attack and retreated back to it's summoner's side. "No problem here! Heh!" He called out witha smile as Tiamat rear3d it's head back to breath balls of fire and Tidus dashed forward into the attack on the ground, electing cries of surprise from Cecil and Rydia but when it cleared, he was still moving and used the explosions as propelled force to soar in the air, his blade glowing blue and swiped it, rains of energy torrenting towards the monster.

~Alexandria~

Zack gave a smirk. "No problem here! Too bad Angeal isn't here to witness this!" he said cheerfully.

~Balamb~

Squall heard Lightning's words and hoisted his Gunblade on his shoulder. "Same goes for you." He said and noticed Lightning survey the town. "It's unlikely anything will be here, if the buildings are still intact, no monster's have obivously invaded, but the strange thing here is, there's no presences of the the civillans, most likely this si just a replica of Balamb Town., in which case, we shoudl check the local store and see if there's any provisions we can use for the journey, we'll set a course to anywhere we don't regcongize, sound good?" he asked her, eyes closed.

Rita jumped back and began to cast with her weapon, a scarf. "Sarcifice my body to raise the earth from below, Stalagmite!" Spikes of ground came shooting from the ground as it hit the beast from below.​

Tiamat flew into the sky to avoid more hits. Its mouth openned wide as it shot down a laser of intense energy.​

-Nautilus-​

​

Luke jumped away from the Weakend Pluto. "Tiger Blade." He released an upward arte to strike the foe. It damaged it abit but Pluto tossed Luke back, unconcious.​

​

Van saw this and grew irritated. He released his sword. "Let's get this guy. Hyaa!" He swung his sword with great velocity and power.​

​

Pluto launched swords from its side as it too began to launch sword strikes at the others.

 

-Rabanastre-

"Rydia, look out!!!!" Cecil shouted, running to protect Rydia when Pluto shot its laser. Rydia ordered Ifrit to attack Pluto again, then gave Cecil a Hi-Potion. He drank it and ran to Pluto, slashing at it with his sword. Chanting, Rydia cast a Thundra on Pluto.




-Alexandria-

Basch defended himself from the attack, then ran to the Tiamat, jumping up and slashing at it with the two blades of his sword. He landed and jumped back to Zack. Glaring at the Tiamat with cold eyes with his helmet hiding his even colder expression at the fight, Basch returned to his fighting stance, gripping his sword.

~~Wutai Cavern~~

Echoes.
The gentle, repetitive sound of dripping water echoing throughout the entire structure of the natural hole in the cliff face, hailing from some deep, far-off and undiscovered source deep inside, magnified by the hollow,empty pathways.

As Gilgamesh, a crimson-clad warrior who once served under a villainous creature named Exdeath, sat on his small alcove within the cave, he slowly came to realise that his companion was starting to stir, and looked over.
"Oh, you're coming to." he said, hopping down from his little ledge. "I am glad that there was no serious damage done to you, my friend."
"Where is this...?" said the companion slowly, as his winged, demonic form slowly rose from laying upon the cold ground. "Who are you...?"
"This is merely a temporary shelter to serve the purpose of your hastened recovery, my demonic compatriot." Gilgamesh answered, stepping towards him. "As for myself, I am merely a wander warrior. An aggregate of arms, a stockpiler of swords, a collector, of sorts. You may know me as Gilgamesh, the one who emancipated your from your emergency."
"Emergency..." the other said quietly. "I was... injured...?"
"Ah, are you beginning to recollect your circumstances?"
"No. I'm... sorry. I don't remember anything. I... don't remember anything..."
"Amnesia? A curious thing. Do you perhaps remember a name?"
"I... do not."
"Hm... Then, you will need one. Let's see... wings, tail, red skin, demon, teeth, horns, claws, no memory... It's strange, but TV makes this naming thing seem easy."
A long moment passed between the pair, as one attempted to come to terms with a total lack of memories, and the other tried to thing of a suitable nickname for his now-nameless companion.


At last, the silence was broken, as Gilgamesh exclaimed something.
"Eureka! I shall simply call you Big Red until you recover your true identity!"
There was a second long silence; the demonic-looking being staring at Gilgamesh, apparently not entirely on how to respond to his lack of creativity after so long thinking on it.
"What? I'm a sword collector, not Hironobu Sakaguchi."

"Right..." Lumina said, backing away slowly. "Let me know if you need a refresh or something. I'm afraid that it's all I'm able to do since I'm pretty much naked." Why had she been so small at 15? Had she REALLY matured that late? It was certainly odd. Despite all that was going on, and how little sense it made, Lumina kept a watchful eye on the battle and the surrounding area in case Lightning showed up.

 

~Zanarkand~

SNow gave a cry out and brought hsi fist directly into Tiamat's form, grunting with effort to send the creature flying but when it tiried to striek him, he used Steelguard to protect hismelf from a huge amount of damage.

~Balamb~

Squall merely nodded and headed tot he General Store to gather whatever supplies were left, there was no shop owner so it was free for all, there was no real surprise there before pocketing the items ina magically pocket dimension bag that all Students were given (OOC: Well, you have to wodner hwo they carry all the items and weapons around with them.)

"All prepared, we'll set off unless you feel anyone else is occupyiing the town at this time?" he asked her, they were soliders so he did need to geta grasp on this woman's abilites as to efficently work with her.

~Alenandria~

Zack slashed acroos the Tiamat before performing a Octaslash upon the monster, utlizing Sephiroth's powerful attack although, not as powerful a steh man's swings were, he was having a ball of a time.

 

-Alexandria-

Watching Zack perform his attack, Basch smiled and put his sword in the ground. Suddenly a black sphere formed in-between his hands, before he split it in two and joined them together as a beam of dark energy. "This monster is tough, but we seem to be weakening it! Let us keep at it, Zack!" Basch said, glaring at the monster from behind his helmet.




-Rabanastre-

While Rydia ordered Ifirt to attack again, Cecil attacked with the Eidolon. He slashed at the Pluto with the summoned Eidolon, Rydia cast a double spell, one of Thundra and Firaga on the Pluto. "Think we're weakening it?" Rydia asked, when Ifirt and Cecil returned to them. Cecil gripped his sword and said, "I would think so. But it is hard to tell if we are."

Lumina looked to the ground to see how she could help. She picked up a rock and threw it at Pluto. "Hey you big dummy! Over here!" Hopefully, it would be distracted enough for Rita and Snow to finish it off.

 

Pluto and Tiamat have been defeated. Congratulations. 50 points added to AkiRose, Cloud<3, StardustXtreme, The Hero of Time, and Myst. For more details on what these points mean, look back at the OOC for description.

Chronos: Judge of Time​

"Congratulations younger ones. It appears that you have been succesful in defeated these enitity's of old. However you are still in trouble of me. Mat time judge you once more!"
Chronos stood among a large building spreading out his arms to release yet again another wave of energy around the world. "Youth of old. Old of youth. May time reflect among those seas of birth and death. Time Manipulation!" The power released in great strength. All among the world would revert to the exact same age. Every person would be of the age of 10.
"If you wish to return to your normal ages, you must defeat me. I await your attack on the Isle of Thor."



Zanarkand

She smiled at the defeat of the creature that attacked her and these new people. However when Chronos began to speak, fear rose over her. She believed the year gap would be more devastating making her lack existence all together. She closed her eyes waiting for her end to come but instead, nothing changed. She was still a ten year old girl. However, her allies had all reverted back to their youth. The same age as her. Chronos was testing their patience. "You guys are so young. And here I thought Chronos was smart enough to rid himself of the best mage in the world."

Chronos announced that his defeat would establish the world's population to come back to normal. His defeat would be necessary for them to all return. "You heard the man, we need to head for the isle of Thor... which is where." She then remembered that Owari was kind enough to give each person a map of the new world. She pulled it out and examined it.



-Nautilus-

Luke began to breathe heavy from the fighting. He wasn't used to such beasts back home in his manor. He only trained with Master Van. They had won though which put a smile on his face. "I knew we could win. Did you see that Master V-" Luke was affected little from the wave that reversed their ages.
Van however was effected greatly. He was much younger. He had no facial hair and the strong build had reduced to normal muscle. He loocked at himself in one of the mirrors as he was in shock.
Luke began to laugh histarically at his master's change from a strong warrior to a normal swordsman. "Master, you look so funny as a kid."
"You look the same to me Luke. You have always looked like a kid though." He smiled back. "Now, I wish to return back to my normal body as I bet the rest of you do. We should head for Thor and take down Chronos.

 

Alexandria:



Kratos hadn't wanted to waste energy on a mini boss but now...seeing himself revert into a ten year old, was infuriating. Adjusting his clothes, his weapons and finally settling into a rather irritated and cold expression, he set his hands on Zack and Basch's shoulders, "We're leaving... The sooner we kill this guy, the faster things go back to normal. I'd rather not stand around here until we turn into infants and are forced to kill some god with blades we can't hold properly." To anyone else...Kratos' expression spelt their end. To his companions...he was just one angry ten year old.

Castle Baron:



Martel's body didn't age. As she watched Zidane change, she frowned as her own body stayed the same. It helped that her body wasn't even human. Having a body that was created as an adult was a great benefit to her now... "Zidane...are you alright?"

Meltokio:



Using what strength his ten year old body possessed, Kain struggled to stay upright. His armor and his lance were heavy to a ten year old's inexperienced muscles. It was around this age that he had only started training...if he had to go through it all again...his body would not keep up with his mind. "This can only spell trouble..."

Nautilus:



Yuan poked his head out of cover and suddenly tilted backwards. Falling onto his back, he wiggled and struggled to stand again...but the weight of his large double-sided blade on his back was far too heavy for him to lift. "Uh-oh... Uh...a little help here! Luke? Cloud? Anybody?" Now he knew what it felt like to be a turtle...


Field:



Sephiroth had dazed out for a bit....a long bit and blinking back to reality...one where he wasn't stabbing Cloud a thousand times and ruling the universe...he found his body far too small for his task. "Hmph...so Chronos has another trick up his sleeve." A smile curved the edges of his lips and he continued on, dragging his now oversized clothes with him.


Zanarken:




Practically tearing out his hair, Yuri dodged, avoided and hid from everyone's attacks. Being shrunk down to a ten year old didn't help traversing the mess of ruins. Poking his head up and spotting Rita Mordio, a former companion, he practically yelled, "What the hell!?"

 

~Castle Baron~

Asbel felt it, his body was getting smaller, to an age he never thought he'd return to, at 10 years old, now he had a problem, he had to keep his sword sheathed and literally wave it around like back in his youth, heck, at this age, he didn't meet Sophie at all, but it was a strange feeling and he heard Lambda within him. "How annnoying, with a body such as this, the handicap has become more greater, we better find this Chronos and defeat him, otherwise, you'll be no more than a infant and I'd rather not be so easy to be defeated." He said within his mind, but there was also another hidden meaning, with such a small body, Lambda's power will likely overload the young Lhant's body which hasn't adapted to a foregin presence, only his true body could handle it

Asbel took a moment to consider this, it was true, it was near enough embarassing to be reduced to this age but with such oversized clothes, it made movement more difficult, this Chronos was being serious and pressing his advantage rather unfairly despite how some people done his challenge, the time of staying back and listening wasn't an option, it was either work with this 'Zidane' and woman or go out in the wide world as a ten year old, the latter wasn't appealing, so Asbel chose this moment to emerge, being seen by the occupants but he stood with no stance, sword sheathed, indicating he was no harm.

"I'm Asbel Lhant, from the town of Lhant, I need your help to defeat this Chronos." He cut to the direct matter of the matter quickly, if they spent any more time waiting, they'll be in diapers before you could say eleth.

-Alexandria-

Zack cheered at their victory and twirled his sword before sheathing it, doing his victory pose before the announcement of further de-aging came he felt his...SOLIDER uniform being mroe baggier than usual and the sword on hsi abck beign heavier, he shrunk but kept his unkept hair, but he had no muscle, the mako enhancements were still in his system so it helped his situation a bit. "Oh come on! Can't a hero get a better reward?" He groaned at this, if Angeal saw him liek this, he'd never hear the end of it.

~Rabanstre~

The team of TIdus, Cecil and Rydia turned out rather a good match after defeating their foe, thir reward? Age 10, Tidus dropped the Brotherhood sword with teh sudden surprised from it's weight, his body was just it normal weak self while his old man was around, no developed muscles from Blitzball training either, so that was a disadvntage, not to emantion the baggier clothing they were given, Rydia seemed to not have a problem, but Cecil with his heavy armour was a different matter.

"Not good... not good at all." he said, jumping a bit at his higher pitched voice as a child.

~Zanarkand~

Snow fist pumped the air. "Haha! The Heroes always win!" He cheered but that was too soon, further deaging and his trenchoat was sagging on his shoudlers, eh shrunk in size but not badly, he was alaways a kind of tall kid, but no muscle was formed but his still had his L'Cie mark, indicating he had his abilites and his Eidolon, so worries there.

-Fields away from Balamb~

Squall paused as Chronos announced the win but treated them to a de-aging that he never wnated to experience, just like his time back in Edea's Orphanage, his gunblade was notably heavier and hsi usual clothes becoming baggier, and it seems his companion, he supposed he could call her that, suffered the same treatment, though, he looked away as it was clear her uniform as showing more skin than usual, he wasn't that stupid about women's reactions.

"How annoying." He said with a annoyed tone but continued in his thoughts. "This Chronos is more dangerous than Ultimecia, we got to hurry before his whim's decide to make us unable to fight and win it in his favour without lifting a finger." He thought to himself in irritation.

 

-Alexandria-

With the further de-aging, Basch discarded his armor and sighed. "How much longer must we must suffer before this Judge is satisfied?" He said, pondering his thought out loud. He followed Kratos and Zack, after managing to put his sword and armor in a big for him to carry. He almost forgotten what it was like to be a ten year old, the days he played with his twin brother, Noah, and their parents. Basch sighed and kept quiet.



-Rabanastre-

Cecil was shocked that he, Tidus, and Rydia were shrunk to ten years old, he took off his armor and asked, "What do we do now? It is apparent that this Chronos wants us to defeat him as children. But how do we get to the Isle of Thor and how are we to fight if our weapons are too big for us to hold?" Rydia didn't say anything, she just began to cry, "That big meanie, Chronos!!! He's going to pay for turning us into ten years old!" "I know, Rydia, but I think we should make a plan or something." Cecil said, smiling as he patted her head. Rydia pouted and nodded.



-Castle Baron-

"I'm fine, Martel. Huh, well hey there! Name's Zidane Tribal and this is Martel!" Zidane said, smiling at Asbel. He noticed that he was ten years old like him. He sighed and said to himself, 'Never thought I would be this age again.' Zidane looked at his big baggy clothes and his own oversized dagger and wondered what to do now.



-Balamb-

Seeing as he was turned into a ten year old, Golbez dismissed his armor, tossing each piece to the ground hard, which made a noise that would cause Lighting and Squall to notice him. Golbez held up his hand when they looked at him and said, "I mean you two no harm. I was just discarding this heavy armor I was wearing as it would be too much of a pain to wear with this body."



-Wutai-

Kuja looked at his now ten year old with surprise, he had been created with a adult body so he never experienced a child's body like Zidane had and sighed. "This Chronos is a persistent being. How long must he demand that we are to be children to fight him? This play is not going as I hoped it would. Oh, well, must as well find a way to this 'Isle of Thor' to confront him."

 

~Castle Baron~

Absel's blue and purple eyes looked upon Zidane and Martel Zidane called her, it was obivously a surprise to the young male with a tail, which was a strange sight to see, then again, he wasn't complaining. "We got to get to this Isle of Thor." he suggested to them, Lambda within him remaining quiet.

~Rabanstre~

"Well, as much I don't want to get rid of my sword, perhaps we could get tot he Isle of Thor and petition to be restored to our ages to be effective in battle?" he suggested "But where is this Isle of Thor for that matter?" he asked in confusion, there wasn't just a map ahnded out was there?

~Balamb Fields~

Squall raised his Gunblade, or rather, attempted to at Golbez, he obivously didn't attack or bothered to, this man was in the same predicament as them, and he'd never discard his Gunblade, not after the years of training to master one.

 

Luneth- Castle Hien
Luneth opened his eyes to see a strange sight; a ceiling made of slithering roots. Surprised, he quickly sat up to see that the walls and floor were very similar. He was even more shocked when he realized that he recognized this place. "This is .... Castle Hien? But we defeated Hien." He said out loud. To no one it seemed, because only when he looked around did he realize that he was alone. "What? I thought for sure that if there was a strange occurrence, all of my friends would get dragged into it to. Oh well, I'm on my own." He stood up and thought carefully about his situation. Only then did he realize that he was 4 years younger. "Well that's a surprise! I guess the first thing I should do is look around and see what I can find out."



Ramza- Balamb
Ramza knew that he was no longer in Ivalice the second it happened; there was no passing out, no bright light, no fade to black; It just happened. His surroundings were entirely different then the beaten path he had been traveling on. He was surrounded by buildings. He was in a small town by the seashore. "By the gods..." he said. "Where am I?" Nearby, a small sign notated the town as Balamb. He felt small and looked down, surprised to see that he was now much shorter. "What is this?" he asked aloud. It was then that he realized that none of the others were with him. He became concerned and shouted out for them. "Alma! Agrias! Mustadio! Pray answer me!" He continued to shout the names of several of his other companions, but none answered him. He sighed. "What have I gotten Myself into?"




Agrias- Baron Castle
Agrias Stopped dead in her tracks; she was no longer traveling with her many companions, which worried her. Her new surroundings were that of stone, and she quickly deduced from the structures around her that she was at a castle. She was well traveled in Ivalice, but had never seen this place before; that also worried her. "What am I to do?" she thought. With her many allies nowhere near her, it was disconcerting; she had gotten much closer to them than anyone other than the princess for a long time. It especially helped when Ramza was around; she and Ramza could always talk things out to figure out what they needed to do. With no one else around, she brought her hand to her chin to think. She then realized how small her hands were. Taken aback, she looked at the rest of her body as well. "I'm a child!" she exclaimed. This was becoming strange. She noticed 3 other children nearby. "I should ask them" she thought. She approached in as calm a manner as she could muster;shoving down her anger for the situation. "Excuse me..." she said as she approached. She then saw that one of them had a long monkey tail. Pushing away her shock, she continued the question. "...Mayhap you can tell me where this is?"
