Final Fantasy vs Tales of

-Judge of Time-​

Owari, god of the current land, had come to his judges to meet about testing the new civilizations forming. "12 Judges of Valhalla. I come to you to begin the tests among the new kind of life placed on the world below." He grabbed his staff and pointed towards the men sitting atop their seats among the highest tower. "Who here will rise to the challenge of testing the new people? Although you may perish in their world if they are successful, your soul will always remain with your lord."​

The man sitting on the far right stood up. "I am Chronos. The Judge of Time. I will test how they will evolve and adapt to the world around them. Past, present, and future. If man can conquer the will of time, they shall deem worthy in my eyes."​

Owari bowed as did Chronos. "Off with you, Judge Chronos. Head to the city of Alexandria. Make life a new beginning for all!"​

-Alexandria: Judge of Time's Release!-​

Chronos landed into the square of the great city of Alexandria. "Let all on this Earth decrease in age! 5 year Penalty!" He clapped his hands allowing a wave of energy to go across the planet. All would be 5 years younger.​

​

Owari spoke to the world: "You shall be tested on how you can work with younger bodies. Defeat Chronos, and you shall be spared my wrath."​

​

 

~Outskirts of Castle Baron~

Asbel was nearing the castle until a voice boomed, it was Owari's who stated they must defeat Chronos with younger bodies and he looked at hsi body, he felt... smaller, no he was smaller, back when eh trained for the Knight Academy, not to mention hsi clothes somehow shrunk with him and his sword, msot likely to ensure they weren't severely handicapped, but the main handicap was, small bodies meant adjusting to the strange sensations of short reacher and speed your own usual body was used to.

Asbel's surroundings bcame balck and white as he heard a rather... deep toned voice within his head. "What nonsense is this?" as Asbel was surprised, Lambda woke up after his long sleep, the strange Eleth or whatever must of caused him to awaken and he thought to his other occupant. "Lambda? You're awake?" he asked and the beign knowna s lambda responded.

"You better explain what has happened during my sleep Asbel, only a fool like you would be in this situation." lambda stated and so, Asbel explained what happened when this Owari summoned them to this realm and there seemed to be none of the usual monsters and Lambda was quiet for a few minutes. "This is most amusing, a so-called 'God' fo the world tests you humans on a whim and decides you should be handicapped for this trial, how utterly foolish." He responded in a rather same deep dark tone.

"I don't think Owari or this Chronos even knows about you, that could become a advantage to our side, unless Cheria and the others somehow ended up here." He thought as Lambda's reponse swiftly came. "Do not think of me as some pawn to use, I could easily take you over and the person known as Asbel shall be no more." His tone was very serious, almost threatening as well.

"It's not like that at all, you and me, we're sharing this body so... we got to watch each other's backs so I trust you, Lambda." he thought as lambda's tone changed, becoming neutural. "The title of fool suits no-one better than you Asbel Lhant." Lambda said before his presence within Asbel receededa and the younger man headed into Baron's walls.

~Alexandria~
Zack was about to complain. "Hey I may be young but I chose this path, so I could become a Hero! That is my dream and no-one on Gaia is going to stop me!" he said before a starnge sensation overcame him, clothes and weapon shrunk down and hsi body, by 5 years, he never felt this..small since...well, Gongaga, the mako enchacements were still within his system so no worries there.

~Balamb~

Squall was about to say soemthign ebfore a wave of energy overcame them and he found hismelf... shorter.... his Gunblade too and lighter too, he hadn't thought about hsi childhood since... Edea's orphanhenge and he gave a scowl to what occured, keeping his midn quiet.

~Zanarkand~

SNow too was...well, made intoa small version of hismelf plus coat and gloves and hsi brand actually smaller to compenstate.

 

-Meltokio-
Both of them felt a massive wave of energy and then they both grew a bit smaller.
Wait...what the hell just happened?
Zelos examined himself and frowned. Hmm...seems like we got younger...I think the gods are starting to make their move on us.
Sheena examined and tried getting well known with her younger self. Besides being smaller and maybe losing a little physical ability, we seem to be just about the same. We gotta make our move somewhere. Staying here isn't helping our situation...

 

-Zanarkand-

Rita looked away at Snow as to when he said this. She didn't like this so called "Hero." He appeared over confident and cocky to boot. However, a large wave of energy could be seen coming towards her and the group. A bright glow appeared on her and them as she shrunk and became younger in age. "T-This cant be possible! Damn that Owari. Playing tricks with us now." Her voice was higher pitched and squeaky. Se had reverted to a 10 year old child.



-Dahngrest-

Hope recieved no leads on to where Lighting or even his own friends could be located. This was upsetting. He couldn't have been the only one from Pulse to have come into contact with this world. He began to glow and shrink back to a 14 year old, just the age when he had first met Lighting and his friends, as well as the age where is mother died. His skills would now be handicapped physically, but his magic spells would still be great.



-Nautilus-

Luke prepared his sword against Cloud. "I am well trained in my masters artes. I will defeat you!" He charged, only to be stopped by a sudden change in body. He had become 12, only two years older than when he had been kidnapped by the empire of Malkuth.
Van also changed a small bit. Because of his age, the appearance from 5 years would do little to him but maybe make him a little weaker and nothing more. "So. It seems the gods have chosen to test us. Maybe fighting would be the wrong choice here. We should find a way to defeat this Chronos character."

 

Meltokio:



Kain cautiously watched the pair, the red-head seemed to have some sort of relationship with the woman. He felt a wave of energy wash over him and out of fear that it was Golbez again trying to take control of his mind, he lashed out with his lance. Ageing five years backwards, Kain barely felt any change in his physical self. He'd been training his entire life as a Dragoon and thus his younger body wasn't much different than his current one. Bracing a hand on the rooftop, he grit his teeth. The experience his body had gained from five years would've helped in taking out any form of malicious beings. "This...isn't Golbez' work." Dropping from the roof, he landed hard on the ground and slowly approached the pair, "What is this place?"

Alexandria:



Feeling the wave of energy, Kratos blinked as five years were taken from his incredibly long life. "This god has reversed time on us. We should hurry and find where this God resides before anything else." Kratos himself hadn't changed. Five years was a blink of an eye to this former angel. Even without Origin's pact, having ingested that stone when he met Mithos, he wasn't going to age.

Castle Baron:



Martel's green eyes widened as the wave of energy brushed over her and her new little friend. She spun around and clutched at her chest as the image of the Great Tree shrank. "No..."

Field:



Five years taken off Sephiroth, like Kratos, was nothing. He watched the energy roll across his skin. "Hmph...is that all?" Venturing across the continent after exploring Zaude and familiarizing himself with it, was proving to be far more exciting than taking his own world.

Zanarkand:



Yuri and Repede raced down mountains of rubble, heading towards the flash of pink he'd seen when both man and dog aged backwards. Yuri panicked, lifting the suddenly lighter Repede up. "Repede? Are you...okay? Five years is a long time for a dog." Carrying the smaller dog, he came upon the larger group than he'd expected and a pink haired woman that was definately not Estelle.

Nautilus:



Yuan frowned at the guys before him as they shrank a few inches and he didn't change. "Seems like we're going to run into more trouble than just you guys turning into babies." Sighing, Yuan stepped up directly in front of the boy calling himself Luke. "Come with me. I doubt I could handle this problem on my own and you're in no shape to be taking on a so-called God by yourself, or even with your bodyguard." He spread his cloak to fold over his shoulders and leave his arms free, "My name is Yuan Ka-Fai. I am a Cruxis Angel."

 

-Meltokio-
Both Zelos and Sheena turned around to see Kain. At first glance, his ominous look and voice would point out a 'villain.' However, he didn't look familiar to either of them, meaning he wasn't from their world.
Well you're in the city of Meltokio. In our world, this is the main capitol of our continent.
What she said! Well...except with more friendly looking people and them being not so confused and stuff. You don't seem like the type to be around here. Maybe we can help each other seeing some strange magic just passed over this place. He shook his arms, trying to get into the feeling of his own, younger body. What's your name? I'm Zelos and this is Sheena.

 

-Alexandria-

Feeling the change overcome his body, Basch looked at himself and noticed that his armor shrunk as well and he had the scar over his left eye that his brother gave him. He also heard the challenge given to them, he gave a serious look, whispering softly to himself, 'So, we are to defeat Chronos as children with these younger bodies. So be it.'

'

-Rabanastre-

Cecil and Rydia also felt the change over upon their body, while their outfits shrunk with them. Looking at his now younger body, Cecil smiled and thought of the times back at Castle Baron, training with Kain and Rosa. 'Well, we are going to be tested to this 'Chronos' with these younger bodies. I accept it.' He thought to himself. Turning to Rydia, who also felt the change and trying to hide her body with her cloak, Cecil asked her, confused, "Rydia? What's wrong?"

"I'm.... embarrassed." Rydia said, shyly looking at him. Turning to face him, she now looked like she was beginning to gain the slender body when she was adult, Cecil blushed and remembered that she trained in the Land of Eidolons. Shyly poking her fingers together, she said, "I wasn't expecting to go through another change to my body like this. Plus, I don't want you think anything bad about me in this body." "I admit I was sadden when we met again when you returned from the Land of Eidolons as a young adult and missing you grow and control your power. But as when you were a kid, I think you're a amazing and beautiful woman with a great power." Cecil told her, wrapping her in a hug while Rydia blushed, wondering what about Rosa. (OOC: Total Cecil x Rydia moment. >///<)




-Castle Baron-

After he felt the change, Zidane looked at himself and Martel. Smiling as he remembered the mischievous fun he had when he was five years younger, Zidane noticed Martel and went to her side, asking, "Martel, are you alright? What's wrong?"




-Balamb-

As he felt the wave come through and hit him, Golbez paid it no mind as not caring that he now had a younger body to fight with, he simply thought to himself, 'In order to defeat this 'Chronos', we must fight him with these bodies. So be it.' Leaning against the wall, Golbez sighed and thought about Cecil and wondered where he was, wishing he won't be in this world if he was.



-Wutai-

Kuja looked at himself in surprise. Having been created as a adult, Kuja never experienced a child's body and noticed his clothes shrunk with his body. He smirked at his new younger body, whispering to himself, 'Does Owari really expected Chronos to be defeated by a group of children? Well, then, I shall give him a show he won't forgive than.'

Lumina had also shrunk down to her 15 year-old self. She was quite a bit smaller, so she had to hold up her clothes to avoid any... embarrassing moments. "You." she said to the 10-year old next to her. "What's happening?"

 

~Balamb~

"Serah? A sibling perhaps?" Squall thought, he didn't know anyone by that name, even in the Garden, closest female to an S he knew was Selphie, it was likely this person was searching for this woman unless there was a motive to purposefully let his guard down, her reaction to her body's regression was apparently a surprise to her, indicating she was working alone for one, just like he was.

"Never heard of her." he simplyed said and rested his Gunblade on his shoulder. "But if this isn't Ultimecia's doing, isntead, this Chronos iscasuing this to occur, if he is capable of this, then it's most likely he'll be as strong as a Sorceress." he thought and walked past Lightning to head for the Entrance of Balamb Town.
~Alexandria~

Zack nodded witha smile and gave a thug's up to Kratos and Basch. "No problem! it's just another walk in the park!" he said with his voice brimming with confidence.

~Zanarkand~

Snow had to look away for well, Lumina dsiheveled appeared, luckily, he had much to work with as he built big during his adulthood as Lumina clearly asked Rita what on earth happened.

~Castle Baron~

Asbel thankfully reached the old cast and looked at it's structure, it seem old bit quite stable, he never saw anything like this before but ti was majestic in it's own right, hsi ahnd warily on the hilt of his sword, being ready for anythign as he moved inside the castle itself.

~Rabanastre-

Within the streets of Rabanastre, a blonde wearing ths unusual outfit wearing yellow and brown shoes, a gauntlet in his left hand and a black glove in the other, a yellow jacket with a white hood and a blue pauldron and armor over his left arm. The dark dungaree-type outfit he wears over his other clothes is fastened with a black belt that has a metal chain as he had a blue aquatic sword fastened to his side.

"Great, where have I ended up now?" he asked hismelf in confusion, last he recalled, he just recently beat up his old man and saved Spira from it's spiral of death and yet here he was, in another world isntead of beign sent to the Farplane, what's worse, he elft his only love on Cid's airship ebfore comign across a unfamilar sight, a guy and girl huggign one another but the green ahried woman was trying to keep her dress...on. now that he should complain, he was reduced in age and had baggy clothing.

"Okay... what did I stumble into?" he asked in confusion was a little blush on hsi face.

 

-Zanarkand-

The answer to the question was simple. Owari and Chronos even stated what was going to happen "What happened is we all were reverted to our younger selves. I take it this Owari character really is going to see if we can survive even as children. Chronos may see that not everyone was effected enough and go even further which won't be good for me if he goes back another ten years." All Rita could think of now is how Chronos managed to get such a powerful blastia that could effect everyone on a world wide scale. Baffling it was to her.



-Nautilus-

Luke sighed. "I could work better without you anyway." He walked over to Master Van and just hoped he could say something to cheer him up.
"Chronos said we had to defeat him. We know very little about this land other than where cities and some other locations are from all of our worlds. We must kill this Chronos and return our ages to normal." Van was usually very thoughtful about things but in this case it was more full head on.

 

Nautilus:



Yuan rolled his eyes, obviously trying to talk strategy with a kid was going to be futile. Turning his attention to Van, he repeated his proposition. "We're not going to get anywhere with a bunch of children leading us around in circles. You will need the help of someone of my skills and I'll have need of yours, I'm sure. Come with me...and we'll move on from this city and locate Chronos." What better way to help mankind than to return their years to them. After all...he had nothing to lose by going backwards or forwards in time. "Whatever magic he holds...it obviously does not affect me as it does you. This is in your best interest." His mind rattled through all the ways Chronos could've done this...Summon Spirit? No...there weren't any that controlled time. An Ex Sphere? Doubtful...a new world had no way of manufacturing them so soon and he'd destroyed all those in his home world. Perhaps some kind of magic unique to this world. It was the only reason left.

Meltokio:



Echoing Sheena and Zelos' words, Kain attached his lance to his back, "My name is Kain. I am a Dragoon of Baron. Though none of that matters now." Besides the fact that he would uphold his honor as a Dragoon and return these people to their original age. "Can you locate this Chronos for me? I'll be dealing with him shortly."

Castle Baron:



Pushing herself, Martel reached forwards, shutting her eyes and feeling the flow of mana. She sighed, but the sound was a strained one. "The Great Tree in this world is much older than the one I left behind. Entrusting Ratatosk to protect it...I followed the cry of loneliness and pain to this tree. Changes to the Tree are not healthy for this world." Her soft voice echoed in the empty halls of the Castle, "I fear this world is yet to feel a great amount of pain. I fear for the Tree."

Alexandria:



Kratos shook his head at Zack's confidence. "If you get any more over confident, you'll be the first to perish in this world. We should start searching for this Chronos." Scanning the area around them, Kratos mentally searched the city, reaching out with any sort of warrior instinct he had. "I don't sense him here. We should move on to another city." Without further ado, he started off down the street in a random direction. Of course, Kratos had no idea where he was headed, but that didn't matter as long as he could keep walking forwards.

 

-Meltokio-
Sheena scratched her head. Hmm...I'm not sure where to look for a god in the first place. She then examined the map she drew out. But in my own personal opinion, a spell like that would take enormous amounts of energy, even for a god. I'd say he would be around the middle of this place if he wanted to cast that spell accurately. Though I could be wrong...
Ahh don't fret Sheena. You're right a lot of times...err actually not much...like that one time you fell-AHH!
Sheena kicked Zelos in the shins hard to shut him up. Anyways, we also were planning to get t him too as well so why don't we accompany you to him?

 

-Alexandria-

"Even though he is right, do not look down. Believe in your strength and you'll pull through." Basch told Zack, a small smile on his face and followed Kratos. Holding his helmet, Basch looked around and wondered if there was a city that any of them knew to head toward and get some sensible information.

'

-Rabanastre-

Cecil was the first one to notice their new companion, then Rydia noticed him and blushed deeply, hiding behind Cecil. 'Wait, I know I hugged Rydia to comfort her, but I am married to Rosa, for goodness sake. I just hope Rosa doesn't beat me if she ever appears here.' He thought to himself, nervously smiling. He looked toward the new arrival and smiled, introducing himself, "Hello there. I am Cecil Harvey and this is Rydia."

"Hello....." Rydia said, shyly looking from Cecil's shoulder. She held onto Cecil's arm, despite knowing he was already married to Rosa, he said, "I'm sorry. We weren't expecting others to suddenly appear here, not with us like this." "I'm sure you won't know a way to the closest clothing shop for us to get more suitable clothes for our situation." Cecil asked, sure that he was just as confused as they were.




-Castle Baron-

Looking at her in her sorrow and sadness, Zidane took her hand and held it in his own, he told her, "Martel, you're going to be fine. Everything's going to be alright. I'll help make sure that you are protected. It's not in me to see a beautiful woman sad like this." Zidane smiled and confidently held the Tree Spirit's hand, assuring her that she had nothing to fear with him around.



-Balamb-

Golbez noticed Squall beginning to leave and started to follow him, keeping very quiet as he did. He was curious about this boy and his strange weapon as well as the pink haired woman, also he pondered if Cecil was here, but he wanted to avoid his brother and tried to keep his mind away from those thoughts.

"Well then," Lumina said, struggling to hold up her clothes. "Damn, these clothes..." she grumbled. "Do you two have any clothes that would fit me? I'm useless if I keep having to hold theser up."

 

~Castle Baron~

Asbel heard someone speak and he shifted closer, hiding behind a pillar, and looking to see... a human with a...monkey tail? And a green haired woman woman too, were they allies or enemies? He didn't regcongize them from anywhere on Ephinea or Fodra for that matter, should he wait and litsen to acertain a solution? it sounded like a good idea.

~Alexandria~

Zack gave a nod to Basch and noted Kratos walking to find this chronos, and seeing as no-one else was leading, it seemed he was in charge. "Guess we follow that guy huh?" He walked with ahnds behind his head casually, the town did look nothing like where he been before, besides it had a impressive castle further behind him and he was sure nowhere liek that existed on his world.

~Rabanastre~

Tidus looked at the scene before him, it did remind of couples bakc home, In Zanarkand which you could catch a few times wlakign down the streets, but it seemed this two were together and the white haired man introduced them to him and thought he was a resident here in this strange town. "Clothes store?" he asked and cupped his chin to his chin in thought, it did seem the green girl, Rydia her name was needing new attire as it seemed her dress was held up by her hands. "First time I been here myself, it's nothing like I seen bere." He honestly replied and looked around, looking for signs of a store available.

"That there looks reasonable, don't know if anyone's in." he said, walked to open the door to a Shop and sure enough, no owner was waiting behind the counter. "Might be something in there um... Rydia wasn't it?" he asked her, looking away from her predicament, she was beautufil to look at but he has Yuna... or rather didm, tidus took a moment to stare at his hand, as if to expect himself to turn into pryeflies but it wasn't happening, and he did open the shop door too, was he... solid?

~Zanarkand~

Snow shrugged off his black jacket and handed it to Lumina. "Here, use this." He offered to her helpfully.

 

-Rabanastre-

Rydia nodded and looked around the shop, looking what there was in the shop. She appeared to find something that caught her eye and went to the dressing room to try it on. Turning to Tidus and Cecil, she said, "No peeking!" "We won't, I promise. Just get dressed." Cecil said, smiling. Rydia entered the dressing room, with a sigh, Cecil looked around for the shop for some new clothes for himself, he noticed that Tidus kept looking at his hands and asked, "Is everything alright? You keep looking at yourself like you're going to disappear."



-Alexandria-

Basch just kept quiet, following Kratos to the next town they were headed to. Gently, he ran a hand over the scar above his left eye, the one given to him by his brother, back in Ivalice during the war. He sighed and just kept walking, wondering what he'll find this world.



-Castle Baron-

Searching into one of his pockets, Zidane pulled out a Hi-Potion and put it in Martel's hand, he said, "Here, drink this, Martel. It will help you feel a whole lot better." He smiled and stood up, looking behind him suddenly. Zidane shook his head, thinking that what he felt was probably just his imagination and looked around, for any clue of this new place.

 

-Zanarkand-

Rita rolled her eyes to the site of Lumina and Snow. Wasn't this man supposed to be married? Sickening how anyone could even consider marriage. A pointless comitment to a person who may just hold you back in your discovering of the natural world.

A new face dropped down. A man drenched in blood red clothes and pale white skin. Rita dropped her mouth an erased the thoughts she had just recalled. This man was amazingly attractive. She may have the body of a ten year old girl, but her teen mind was still in effect. She shook it off and began to speak. "We should look for this Chronos guy and defeat him before things get worse for me... and you guys I guess. The handsome vampire is right. We need to act."



-Nautilus-

Luke rolled his eyes. He didn't care that he got younger. He didn't care that the world may be wiped out. He just wanted to get back to the Manor. This Cloud person also angered him the wrong way. He seemed arogant and unwilling to accept that Luke was more important.

Van conjured up some plans to try and find this Chronos. "I think it would be best if we do work together for this. Yulia's Score said nothing about this. A world free form the Score, I think I can live at peace here. I would like to protect it. We should come up with the best solution."

-Chronos: Judge of Time-​

A voice appeared from the sky to alert all of the chosen on the lands. "I see that an amount of you have chosen to fight me. I have chosen as well as to test your skills in combat. Prepare to fight some creatures of the heavens!"​

~Alexandria: Vs Weakened Tiamat~

Zack saw the creature theat was going to fight them, eh was surprised this guy commanded monsters, it didn't look all that strong and he jumped up and down, getting the blood flowing. "Great! I get a practice run before the main guy!" he said with a grin.

~Rabanstre: Vs Weakened Pluto No.1~

Tidus heard the voice that stated they were goign to fight this boss and Rydia was still changing. "We should head that guy off and mean Rydis will catch up with us then?" he asked, his tone turning rather serious and calm, he knew what damage fiends would cause to the town,d espite neve rhaving been there before, killka back home was a priem example of devastation that occured.

~Zanarkand: vs Weakened Pluto No.2~

Snow saw teh monster appeared before them eh gavea grin. "Looks like we got ourselves a guy to practice on before fightign Chronos, come on!" he said and made a mad run for the beast.

~Balamb~

Squall heard Lightning's word,s ti wa snot all the different from his own when he called Ellone, Sis and wnated to find her, becomign stronger to protect her, ti seemed he and this woman's goals if not, were similar, beat the one causing this trouble, and as mucha s he didn't like it, a ally was better than beign alone ina strange world, if eh were the old Squall, this would be a different story but with hsi friends and defatign Ultimecia, he learnt not one person can do everything on their own. "Are you certain you can defeat someone who controls time, even if he should render you completely useless by further de-aging?" he closed his eyes, waiting to hear her answer.
