I've been scratching my head with this for the longest time.

I don't trust the game because of its typos, especially the famous one.

Anyway, is it Demons Gate (as in, a gate for demons) or Demon's Gate (as in, a gate that belongs to a demon)? The game says Demons Gate, but like I said, I don't trust the game.

It could have been meant to say Demons' Gate.

It's a tough call, VII came out right around when Demons Gate would still be an acceptable translation, being a literal version of this game has demon.
I'm sure it it was translated now, it'd be Demon's Gate, or, knowing Square Enix, something like Beelzebub, or Zeus.

This boss looks a lot like a Demon Wall (FF IV, FF XII). The FF Wikia mentions their original japanese names with phonetic transcriptions, "DemonzuWöru" and "Demonzu Geito". No idea whether "Demonzu" is singular or plural. I' d say it' s either Demon Gate or Demons Gate, but you should have someone who actually can read Japanese take a look at his Wikia page to be sure.
