Final Fantasy: SOLDIER

Well, if you're like me, you like Final Fantasy...... Kinda a bad start, isn't it? Also, if you're like me you find the best part of FF is SOLDIER... But of course you most likely aren't EXACTLY like me so that's not true....
The "Department of Public Safety Maintenance" is Shinra's own military, led by Heidegger. It consisted of units of various ranks, as well as advanced robotics and hover technology, and is charged with maintaining order and policing the city of Midgar, Junon, and other towns. The SOLDIER department was originally a separate branch until it was merged with the Department of Public Safety Maintenance by Heidegger, after he was granted control over the unit from Lazard. Its members were specially trained and elite fighters selected for use during the Wutai War. The unit was divided into Third, Second, and First Class of ascending skills. Both Sephiroth and Zack Fair were First Class members of SOLDIER before the Nibelheim incident.

That is SOLDIER...... actually, Cloud Strife is tied as my favorite character with Zack Fair.......... So the story is that SOLDIER never actually died after the fateful events that turned itself upside-down and inside-out..... No need to know those events, though. Pretty much, you can be evil, a rouge, or part of SOLDIER..... just for some clearing of the fog, Sephiroth WAS SOLDIER but turned evil, Zack was SOLDIER before being killed, and Cloud was Zack's friend..... Cloud turned rogue after Zack died. That's just kinda an update. This story is WAY after those events....... So, SOLDIER has become a large force again and are protecting the people. Now new people are joining and Cloud is the leader...... Oh and Zack is back alive somehow.....

Tell me about Genesis!

 

OOC: Genesis was one of the people from ShinRa involved in killing Zack. I think.

 

OOC: you wanna know about Genesis? okie dokie you asked for it....
Genesis Rhapsodos is a mysterious first Class SOLDIER, said to have rebelled against Shinra and disappeared during the Wutai war. His birth is similar to Sephiroth, though he was infused with G-cells. He became best friends with Angeal when they were young, both joining SOLDIER together. It was only until after a sparring match with Sephiroth that Genesis started to show signs of having white hair and became weaker than he ever was. It was during the Wutai war that Genesis abandoned Shinra and kidnapped Dr. Hollander to help him stop his degeneration, creating copies of Genesis using his DNA on people. These people are suspected to be the Second- and Third-Class SOLDIERs who were disappearing in the beginning of Crisis Core. He carried a book on his person called Loveless, quoting lines of the Goddess Minerva. Eventually, Genesis saw his chance of survival in Jenova's cells to stop his degeneration. However, the Nibelheim incident removed any chance until he learned of Cloud and Zack being injected with Jenova's cells, recovering a few strands of Zack's hair. Though he might to stop the degeneration, Genesis was defeated by Zack, weaken to the point of being taken by Weiss. Soon after, records of Genesis' existence are erased and his fate unknown other that his genetic makeup was emulated in the creation of the Deepground organization seen in Dirge of Cerberus, led by Weiss himself. In the epilogue of Dirge of Cerberus, Genesis appears to carry Weiss away while saying "its not time for slumber, we still have much work to do, my brother". Genesis' appearance was modelled after that of the Japanese singer Gackt, who voiced him also in the Japanese versions of Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core, and sang 'Redemption', the theme song for Dirge of Cerberus.
