Final Fantasy IX/X-2: Melodies of the Gullwings

Yuna woke up in her cell, closely holding Squall to her body.

OCC: Good point. Naturally, Steiner, Freya, and Amarant will go with him. But during school today, I had alot thinking done, (which I'm glad my brain didn't turn into mashed potatoes), obviously Jecht, Auron, Tidus, Squall, Shuyin, and Lani will go. One more and that's eleven who will go to Oelivert while the rest of the team stays at the Desert Palace.

 

Zidane thought through his options. "Since the area doesn't prefer magic, I'll have to go with people who can wield metal."

Zidane looked at Kuja. "I select Jecht, Auron, Tidus, Squall, Shuyin, and Lani." Zidane said and Kuja tutted. "One more Zidane. Think wisely."

ZIdane thought to hismelf. "Yuna, Rikku and Paine do have the option of dress-sphere changing but I'm not exactly 100% confident they'll work, Yuri has his swordsmanship to back him up as Vivi, Eiko and Dagger are pretty much useless in the group for the trip...I'm honestly worried about Dagger but if I take her along, she'll feel like a burden even though she can't cast spells due to her silence, I guess I'll have to have to go along with that.

"I choose Yuri as my last member." Zidane said clearly and Kuja nodded as he called them out as they were soon teleported into the room.

 

Jecht gripped his sword handle, glaring at the three men. Lani gripped her hammer, Squall held onto his bow tightly and stood close to Auron. He stood calmly, Shuyin stood beside him, gripping his sword.

 

Yuri stared at Ryrin. "Now's not the time for you to fight me, I believe you guys have an errand to run." he said asn Kuja looked at the group.

Spare me the emotional reunion scene, please. Now, go stand with your friends." Kuja said as Zidane looked at him. "You better keep your promise!"

"Of course. You needn't worry one bit." Kuja said as the group was teleported to the airship dock and Kuja laughed. "Khehehe... What a bunch of idiots." he said.

 

Jecht thought he saw Seymour smile and chuckle a little laugh before they were teleported to the dock. Auron gasped when he saw the airship, "It's the Regent's ship!"

 

"Guess this is our transport for now." Yuri said, lookign at it as Zidane nodded. "Let's hurry and get this over with." He replied and got onboard as did Yuri.

 

Jecht and the others followed them, when Jecht passed a black mage, he patted its shoulder with a smile and boarded.

 

The black mages remained slient as they piloted the airship. "Can we really trust Kuja?" ZIdane asked one to see if it'll respond but it didnt until two familar voices were heard.

"They will not answer to you." Zorn said as Thorn nodded. "Respond to our orders only, they do."

Zidane turned his head to see the clowns. "Y-you backstabbing bozos!" as Thorn and Zorn shurgged it off as they explained teh differentes of a Black Waltz and a Black Mage.

"Unforutnately, these guys hold a great advantage using our friend's lives to ensure we do their dirty work." Yuri thought and grinned. "What si so funny?" Zorn asked.

"You say these Black Mages have no souls and just pawns to you, but the way I see it, you guys are pawns as well so don't get all high and mighty just because you hold all the cards." Yuri said calmly as they glared at him.

"You'll regret those words!" Zorn said and Yuri waved off his threat as Zidane smiled. "Let's just enjoy ourselves until we reach our destination." He said as Thorn and Zorn's threat were uneffective.

 

Jecht stared at the scenery as they flew through the sky. Squall wondered if Yuna and the others were okay.

 

Yuri sat beside Squall. "Don't worry about your mother." He said to him as Squall looked at him. "She's not someone who backs down that easily even if she is threatened." He said and closed his eyes, chuckling as Yuri remembered Yuna's strong will in her memories and her resolve.

"She's not your averege damsel in distress I'll say that much." Yuri thought and Zidane looked at the scenery. "It's been a while since our last airship cruise." Zidane said

 

Squall sighed and nodded, Jecht saw at the scenery and sighed.

 

The Hilda Grade 1 soon landed on the continent and Zidane sighed. "Better go get goign and hurry up." He said and walked off as did Yuri. "Where is this place?" he asked Zidane and he shurgged.

"We'll probably find since the airship would bring us to a route to travel there sicne Kuja wants that thing." He said.

 

Jecht placed Squall on his shoulders and began to walk. Auron sighed, and followed.

 

Zidane and Yuri took the lead as Zidane looked at Yuri. "Are you worried about the others?" He asked him and Yuri cupped a hand to his chin.

"Yeah, but they can survive whatever Kuja throws at them, you should know your comrades in and out by now Zidane." Yuri noted and Zidane nodded. "I just hope Dagger's going to be all right."

Yuri placed his hands behind his head. "Dagger will be fine, she's a strong willed woman, plus, the others will be there." Yuri said and Zidane nodded. "Do you think Kuja's going to keep his promise?" He asked Yuri and Yuri looked up at the sky.

"Not likely, Villians never keep promises and never will, they just use it to make you think they are upholding their end of the deal." Yuri said and Zidane nodded. "Guess we should be quicker then...who are you worried about mostly?" Zidane asked, grinning as Yuri looked at him.

"I know that smile and only one other person I know gives that off." Yuri thought and breathed. "Rikku put you up to this didn't she?" He asked ZIdane who didn't answer and Yuri sighed. "I'm worried about Rikku but I know she's all right because she can handle almost anything, be it a desert or a field of lighting."

 

Tidus walked forward with them "the faster we finish this the faster we can get back to the others" Tidus said


Alleyway jack managed to get a ship for him and his partner and was sailing to the northern continent. "hmm this area should prove useful. Its an area I havent been to yet" Jack said

 

Squall was asleep as they walked, Auron walked beside Jecht. "Think Braska will be okay?"

"He'll be fine. You and I know that Braska would never give up on anything."

 

Yuri nodded at Tidus and continued onwards until they reached their point od destination.

"Is that Olivert?" Zidane asked himself and Yuri looked at it. "Possibly is." He said, he never knew about the other continents much.

The man nodded. "Yeah, I still need to find out what this world needs me to do." The man said and looked at a blank picture card with the name of a double edged dagger and another blank card with the name of Brotherhood.

 

Alleyway jack looked over at the cards "so are those cards used to summon your swords...wait the heck" Alleyway jack said noticing he was sinking in quicksand

"well these one way to find out. Let go" Tidus said

 

Jecht gave Squall to Tidus and tried to open the door. After a while, Jecht turned to Zidane. "Maybe you can open it, Zidane."

 

Zidane looekd at him. "The strongest guy of the group can't budge it? That's one powerful door." Zidane said and touched it as it opened by itself.

"Open sesame?" Zidane asked himself and Yuri poked his head inside. "Could Kuja already known you could open the door?" He asked Zidane and he shurgged.

"Well...this could of gone better." Was all he said as they feel through and the man landed in a cell as his feet lande don the floor and he looked to Jack. "Wel, it seems we are trapped...Oi oi...This wasn't I was expecting, shall we just leave here before-" The man noticed the hole open up to reveal lava.

"What a warm welcome" He said.
