Heaven was supposed to just be a gazebo, a house, a field, and a high school in the distance. No need for any CGI weirdness. And I'm a goofball: Mr. Harvey dies the same way in the book as he does in the movie. I could have sworn the icicle directly killed him, but I checked the book again and apparently not. XD
The book was more about her family moving on, whereas the movie was more about Susie herself moving on.

You can't brag that they're in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, then claim they aren't mainstream. That don't make no sense, Mr. Starrk. XD

 

Oh. They had all of that in the movie, except for the high school. Susie was always under the gazebo as well throughout most of the movie until it fell apart when her dad was beaten. @-@ I actually thought the icicle was going to kill him before I saw him fall off the cliff. A friend had told me that he gets hit by the icicle before I had finished watching the movie, so I ended up thinking the icicle was going to pierce through his head or something and then fall off the cliff. << He deserved it, either way.​

 

I think I thought the icicle killed him because of something Susie says early-ish in the book (I forget if this is in the movie). They were playing a game in heaven called something like "the perfect murder", and she said that the murder weapon that she'd choose would be an icicle, because the weapon melts away. This could have implied that she made the icicle fall. I love symbolism. c:

 

Wow. They didn't show that in the movie. >< I really want to read the book. But I only have 8 bucks since I spent almost everything when I had gone to a field trip today and I need to buy earphones. And also stocking for this cosplay. << Gr. I tried reading it online but some of the pages were copyrighted so I couldn't read it all. Also...the one thing I did read online that kind of bothered me was that the author somewhat described the scene where Susie is raped. The thing Mr. Harvey made her say before killing her pissed me off. I was seriously raging inside. I couldn't show it though since I was in class.​

That's going to take a while. Maybe. Depending if you're going to watch the sub or the dub. Sub, it's going fine, but I'm getting too anxious to see Ichigo looking sexy as hell with long hair. The dub...my God it's going to take maybe a year to get to the Arrancar arc. Adult Swim decided to be an ass and go all the way back to the beginning. Apparently, the most recent episode shown on Adult Swim was when Chad was barely beginning to see hollows and fought that one hollow that had explosive leeches. I raged, really, really badly. I felt like punching someone in the face even though I'm weak as hell.​
