What film is this? I'm assuming it's new in the cinema but I can't find a trailer or any trace of it anywhere- is there a trailer?

I might watch this, but probably not in theaters. I'm not really the biggest Final Destination fan, but they're pretty good every now and then

That movie... and all it's sequels... *shudder* I hope I never see this movie. Ever. The fourth one is the only reason I can right a gore-ish story.

I really don't understand the appeal of these movies, they remind me of saw. I've only seen part of one of them, where the people are on the plane, but they all get off and it crashes.

The say of it is, it reminds me of the Saw series.

That was the first one... the fourth one... a guy put a squirt gun down onto a machine that accidently made a lever go down. This activated the pools draining system. This guy was at a country club of sorts. He had this coin with him and he accidently dropped it into the water. He dives in looking for it but gets stuck to the drain where the water is getting sucked out. His butt is stuck to it and he can't get off it because of the pressure. In the end his insides get sucked out from his ass and spout out a pipe over everyone in the pool.

I hate this movie. It did its job of scaring.

actually, if you want horror and gore, this is your movie. Saw is like a kitten's movie compared to the gore and horror these movies do.

Which is why I was angry at myself for watching the movie before a driving test. Seriously though. A woman did a kind thing. She gave a hobo money and the effects of doing that almost led her to being killed. Come on!

which one was that? I've only seen a little bit of 1, 2, and 3. I haven't even seen any of four.
I actually know of someone who picked up a few hitch hikers to help them out and ended up getting killed by them.

I saw a bit of 1. The part where the computer exploded and killed some chick. I missed the beginning of four but I saw from when the ginger guy was angry at everyone till the end. Basically I saw all the deaths. I'm talking about the fourth one in my posts. The only one I will ever see.

oh, you're talking about the teacher that died in the first movie. I didn't actually see it but I saw enough of what was going on to realize what would happen.
I may be able to take things like Saw, but even Final Destination makes me want to hurl sometimes with the deaths. Like in the 3rd one, the first 2 deaths I saw were pretty gruesome. But what's really strange about this one is that in the last ones(actually I'm not sure about #4)they didn't mention anything about killing another person so they stay alive. Are they trying to actually make a point to these movies?

They're just movies to scare people into seeing them for money and such. No real point. People survive when they were supposed to die. So death goes out and makes sure they die in gruesome over exaggerated deaths. I believe the first three had the same premise. People survive. Death seeks out to do what should have been done. Everyone dies except like two people who die in the next movie. The fourth one had the main character being able to see into the future a bit so he tried to stop the deaths. This one made it look more like there wasn't going to be another one. The fifth one I believe had them killing other people to steal the time they had left to live.

oh, so they have someone who can actually see the future to try and save lives? Doesn't that kinda mess with the whole "You can see the future but not be able to change it" law used in so many other shows and movies? Still, I didn't even know they had a 4th till I saw it in a bargain bin at Walgreens. They have a ton of movies there that are really cheap.
But I only remember 1 person surviving from the 1st movie, but she died in the second, and everyone died in the 3rd.

Second hand information from five years ago. He only started getting the future sight when someone's about to die. And forget the law. I said they made it look like there wasn't going to be a fifth movie.

In all five movies there' s someone who can see the future. It' s the basic premise of the series, there wouldn' t be a movie otherwise. It doesn' t mess with anything since in the end whatever you do you just can' t cheat death.
This fifth movie ties in with the first one in a rather unexpected fashion.
I kinda like this series, not as horror movies per say, rather as funny dumb teen slashers (yes, those movies make me laugh). They' re like a "guess how they' re gonna die" game. I wouldn' t pay to watch them at the theater though ...

You sound like someone I know. He says that no matter the horror movie, he just laughs on through it.
But the only thing they ever show of the future in the first few is when that one person sees what's going to happen when they close their eyes or something, and then they come back to reality, freak out, and get off whatever they're on. Nothing about a person actually seeing every death just as it's about to happen

Yes, they pushed it a little further in the fourth one, instead of an initial vision followed by occasional cryptic hints the main character keeps having visions. It isn' t a tremendous improvement, it doesn' t affect the overall formula much, but at least it gives its own little spin to the movie.
