Square-Enix FFXIII Director Wants To Remake Final Fantasy VII

I haven't played FFVII yet. I haven't found the game for PS1 yet, but I don't want them to remake it. Especially since its the FFXIII director. FFXIII doesn't really interest me too much and if they did remake it, it would probably be released on PS3 or Xbox360 neither console I have. I think it's better left untouched.
There are many other games that need sequels or additions, they don't need to remake a game to make money. But that's just my opinion.
