sorry if this has already been posted, i know its super old but i didn't find a thread for it so the storyline is -zanarkand (2,000 years before FF7) -spira (1000 years before FF7) -midgars time sorry, im aware this is super old but i just found out
Actually... arnt all Final Fantasy games in the same world? I mean, towns from one game appear in later sequals. There is always a mention of "The Ancients" ever since FF1. Also, there is usually a cresent island, with an airship on it (more common in the earlier ones.) Also, Garland promised in FF1, that Chaos made up of darkness and nothingness will appear every one thousand years. Almost every Final Fantasy last boss is either taken over by pure darkness, or a power called the Void. In FF9, I think the main squirl dude, mentions that they need a hero like "Cloud or Squal" so evidentally, FF7 and 8 are in FF9 lore. It is old by the way.
So Shinra from FFX-2 created The Shinra that is in FFVII? Pretty interesting read, but why did nobody mention Sin in FFVII? Did they forget about him?
The idea that FFX and VII are somehow connected doesn't fit in my head. ...and I don't see how we go from Farplane to Lifestream.
The lifestream is mentioned in every Final Fantasy game ever... except Tactics and Tactics advanced. Its usually called the Crystals.
Correct in FFI, FFIII, FFIV and FFV there is mentions of crystals and they re the source of life,it's possible that these crystals decided to fuse back into the planet afrer being sought after by darkenss so many times as a way of protecting themselves. Also in FFVII the four huge materia's looks strikingly similar to the four crystals when they are placed in Bugenhagens observatory.
Also... dont forget, FF1, FF3, FF 5, and FF6 all have a magical floating continent. Also... in almost every one of the ones listed above except 6, there is a mention of "The Ancients," who discovered super advanced technology, including the Airship. I believe the FF6 generation could be in refference to the ancients. Also, the ancients were destroyed by the ultimate power of light, which is capable of destroying a city in an instant. In FF6, Kefka destroys cities instantaniously using the power called "The Light of Judgement." FF 7 seems to fit into the story line right before FF 6.
It is the same universe. That was confirmed. Different worlds though people. FFVII was not in a land called Spira. Farplane and lifestream are two different thins. Blitxball did not exist in FFVII and Shinra was not in FFX, nor Mako. They lack too many elements to ve the same world.
Yea i belive they are different worlds. Also one thing that could connect some of these worlds are the void because in FF5 Gilgamesh was sent to the void and presumed dead but has appeared into other FF and there are some hints to that Gilgamesh from those FF being the same one from FF5
well...that was somewhat unexpected...I thought about this theory a while ago, but never thought it'd actually be canon
