    I really didn't enjoy this game. I returned it not too long after I got it. First of all the turn system is different I mean, when I first battled I excpected it to be like FFX where I had time to plan my strategy instead of just button mashing. And the whole sphere dress thing? Wtf? I didn't get that at all. I mean, why can't I switch straight between 2 jobs instead of having to rifle through a bunch of others just to get to it? Besides that having to collect and set up the jobs? And what's with all the timed things? I HATE those. And what's with all 3, rewind, THREE of your characters being girls!? Not that I have a problem with women or anything but C'MON! If they were gonna make a sequel I would've wanted it to be Jecht Braska and Auron. THAT would've been cool. I can imagine it now: FFX-Jecht's story. And they didn't even give you overdrives! This isn't FFX. It isn't now, and it never will be.

    Congratulations. Join the rest of the world that can't see a generally enjoyable experience when it's right in their face.

    Agreed.

    I loved every one of the things you had a problem with. In fact, I love the timed things. It makes the battle system better, and actually makes you try, I'd say. The dress spheres? I loved the different costumes and classes and such. Oh well.

    its a game that adds more complexity to the battle system, its not for players that aren't well seasoned in the quick action battle system. And as for the story, its an amazingly enjoyable story that millions of people waited for, as for the Garment Grid system, it made the game a hell of alot easier, and if you dont wanna switch between all the jobs to get to one you like, use th Garment Grid with only two nodes on it, that way, you can use the special Dresshperes at the beginning of any fight. The3 story was a beautiful and romantic story, its filled with comedy, love, sadness, tragedy, betrayal, mystery, and action, so dont go diminishing the greatness of such a game just because your not game savvy enough to understand it.

    i didn't like this game either. it was too childish to fit into the FFX world in my opinion. also, i know it's a sequel but like 90% of the maps are recycled from the original. the battle system was good, i wouldn't say it's better than FFX's but i wont' say it isn't worse either. and ALOT of the events don't contribute to the storyline at all, that's what i hated the most.

    Button mashing wouldn't have gotten you anywhere later in the game. You still have to plan your strategy, but now you'd just have to think faster.

    Remember your rant about planning your strategy?
    Well guess what: you're supposed to position your jobs strategically.

    Of course they have to implement a system to obtain new jobs. They can't give them all for free at the very start, now can they?

    It's called fan service. I think that fan service is the very least of a game's concern, but as long as you don't have a problem with women you should be fine.

    As far as I'm concerned they counterbalanced that with the ultimate dressspheres.

    I second that. Would have been more relevant to the original one too.

    Well obviously they never meant it to be that way either.

    Sometimes I don't get people. FFX-2 was a really good game. Seriously, there's not that much wrong at all with this game. It has really good qualities. Like ''Memories of Lightwaves'', the facial graphics... okay, the dialogue sucks, but all in all, it's a fine game.

    I actually really liked FFX2 xD;

    I loved the storyline, I thought it was perfectly acceptable to have the characters they did and I actually liked the plot >_>;

    The battle system was fantastic, and I much prefered it over the Sphere Grid from FFX.

    D: dresspheres and garment grids, oh man those were fun D: and having a fun element to your game is important. Not only that but it meant you had to really plan your style of fighting, for example you had to make sure you had appropriate "dress spheres" set for each particular location you were in :3 Like making sure you had a Gunner on Besaid and a Black Mage on the Thunderplains (in my game anyway, each to their own).

    Also, Special Dress sphere = LOVE

    Floral Fallal, Machina Maw and Full Throttle were ****ing awesome D:

    The ONLY thing I didn't like about FFX2

    was Blitzball -_- FFX2 ****ing DESTROYED Blitzball and ruined it >:

    Other than that it was awesome <3 I also liked that depending on what you do and how you do it you can completely change the outcome and sequences of events making it truly an individual game to each person who plays :>

    ok fine, the Special Dress Spheres were pretty awesome, lol. except i thought Machina Maw was kinda weak but that was just my opinion. and i never even knew Blitzball existed in this game, in what way is it worse than the old one?

    FFX-2 had it's negatives and positives with me.

    I had no issue at all with the game being about 3 women. What I did have a problem with was the stereotypical way they were and also the game creators felt the need to put in 'dress spheres' and a 'pink' ship, to name a couple things that were so obviously meant to be assigned to women.

    I did think the system was far better than the sphere grid, which was highly annoying but also produced DBZ characters if you knew what you were doing. I had some issues with FFX that rates it as a 'good' game but the worst of the FF games for me. FFX-2 really should have just been part of FFX in a better way to me. This game also wasn't as 'linear' as FFX was, which is one of the reasons I found FFX to be so boring.

    The spheres, other than the fact that they were 'dress' spheres because girl mains obviously must be treated like Barbie dolls, were actually fine. I did not like the outfits often and well, thought the concept of making them change clothes for each job was lame. But the actual functions of the jobs themselves and growth was what made me overlook the obvious stereotyping and fact that it seems Nomura has a hard time with lead female characters so it's fine to just make them sex objects.

    I have hopes that FF XIII, with Lightning as the main, will show how 'real' females can act and can be appealing without the blatant obviousness to make her so. So far, she seems like a good lead. Really, FFX-2 in some ways was better and in some ways worse than FFX was. It wasn't a horrible game but I felt it was definitely one of the weaker of the FF series. However, some things were fun in it so I won't bash it entirely as saying it wasn't worth playing.

    For sure I will agree that Machina Maw was the weakest of the three, Floral Fallal was the best IMO.

    Well you know how Blitzball is in FFX? In FFX2 you can't really play it, you have less control and hell even the way you see the game is awful, it is like all you see is little coloured arrows and :\ idk it just felt like there was no sense of control or real involvement. I think they wanted to push Sphere Break as the mini game in the game for FFX2, which is a shame. I personally was not a fan of Sphere Break >_>

    My honest advice? Don't even bother looking into Blitzball seriously for this one :\

    FFX2 is definitely a fun game xD that is what it can best be described as.

    ): the entire team ****ing sucked >_>

    Blitzball FFX = epic win

    Blitzball FFX2 = epic fail

    Full Throttle is awesome, especially Sword Dance, I love that move. I really liked Paine as a character full stop <3

    She was tough but retained a feminine side. She was awesome.
