Yes, this theory may have been said many times but I wanta say my version of it...

I have been trying to identify all the keyblades in the tralier out there, and I have the best pics I could find... (post in later post) but all the Chasers Keyblades are Keychain less... But yet the Black Mage does have one on his...

But i propose that the Keyblades are indeed synthetic, like the Dark Keyblade form KH1. It had no keychain either, and it was generated off the Princess of Hearts's Hearts. Maybe keyblades can be make with a "pure" enough heart. The black mage having the orginal may have been mass producing keyblades for whatever reason. Also notice before Kingdom Hearts is summoned his heyblade goes into a black orb. The orb is similar to when the Dark Keyblade dissapeared and the hearts where released, execpt this one is more dark. Thus could his keyblade be a dark person's heart he sacrafices to open kingdom hearts...

    another thing i noticed

In the intro Video of the trailer when they walk up they grab the Kingdom key, and Way to the Dawn, along with one sort of unknown, but when they grab these keys they have the other keyblades they fight with in the trailer still in hand. Also Ven holds his backwards which I thought was interesting.. Now I post pics... srry if it was confusing but I tried wording it the best I could

    Hmmmmmmm......

Personally I think we need to know more about Keyblades in general.....

In the original game Kingdom Hearts they say that when you add a keychain to a keyblade that it alters both the power and form of the keyblade.

So maybe the old man, I assume must be some form of Xeanort, has a different power then everyone else?

Like maybe he has the power to unlock people's Hearts?

Not much to argue with here. You're guess is as good as mine at this point. However Ventus doesn't hold it backwards. There is no backwards, just 'cause the teeth of the key are use to attack and not the flat it doesn't really mean anything to me. It probably just looked better and that's why they did it. Also, both Sora and Roxas hold it like that when they're opening doors and locking them. In fact Roxas held both Oathkeeper and Oblivion like that when he dragged them across the floor when he fought Sora in that cutscene. I just think it has no meaning is all.

Wow!! I never thought of it like that! Thanks for Catching that!

Odd Thought!!!!! Maybe this takes place in a future setting and all the masked people are Sora and Kairi's Babies!!! So naturally they would get a keyblade!!
Told You it was an odd thought....

    -cough-

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Kairi isn't a real Keyblade weilder. It was a loan from Riku so she could fight and save her own *** for once.

Also, just because you're the 'child' of a Keyblade Weilder doesn't automatically make you a Keyblade Weilder. The Keyblade chooses the one with the strongest Heart. The kids might even be brats, for all we know.

I also noticed that fact that even though in the first secret ending they had the other three, they never used them.Maybe they went *poof* cause they weren't the original weilders. Or got sucked up into that Keyblade Tornado of Doom. xD

TAFKAA8- Actually, you just pointed out another piece of evidence that adds on to my own theory (view in the board 'Something Newly Discovered').Honestly, how many people hold the Keyblade like that? Ven,and I guess Roxas, the way you explained it.

Hey there I modified your image so it would fit better on the page without that big white gap!

Really. I don't know, did I say anything otherwise? But, I also said Sora did it. The point I'm making is that they do it depending on how good it looks. You see, if you tried to unlock a door with the teeth of the key up wouldn't it look strange? So it could be interpreted either way but I think I like my way better. (Biased opinion)

I think that they hold the keyblade like that because Which would hurt more? Getting Hit with the neck of the keyblade or with the sharp points sticking through your chest?

Getting the Sharp Points Sticking in your Chest!!!

    Then Again.......

You know what I've said what I think. And I think you guys are looking too much into a detail that doesn't really matter.

Maybe it's just easier for Ven to move around when he's holding it like that. He is the youngest, after all.

Like what i mean when he holds it backwards is how we holds it all the time... Maybe it is just the keyblade type, but in the intro vid again, he holds it backwards even walking up to the thing while everyone holds it regually, it may be nothing that big but i just noticed it

I know. I just mean people are saying it has battle uses and that it relates Roxas to Ven. I think that is going a bit far.

I don't think he meant backwards as in the key part at the end, but that the entire keyblade is pointing behind him (if not, then there are two things to be pointed out about his keyblade weilding). That's just a particular fighting style - a rather hard one, too. Kadaj uses this style in Advent Children, as does Mulan in Land of Dragons.

No, he meant the way everyone is interpreting it, when you watch it you can tell he holds it frontways. I don't think Muan does that either though.

I know what you are saying but if you look at Ven he doesn't always carry it like that. It's not a style as a whole so much as an individual technique. I took no issue with Kadaj. Mulan uses a chinese straight sword. You hold it like that while at attention or in a readied stance but you fight with it either way.

None of them carry it like that all the time. He basically uses his keyblade the way Kadaj uses the Souba. Its not really an important topic about a character. Each person weilds their weapon differently.

That's what I was saying in my strange and convoluted way. Just so you know what I meant initially.
