    Having only played X, X-2, XII, VIII and about 5 mintues of DoC I can't really say anything about the others...

    But out of all the one's I've played it has to be VIII. With or without speaking FF is still a fantastic game, and infact I think it works so much better without the words at times.

    That and Squall is a victim of my fangirling X3

    I also liked Derge of Cerberus the first time around, but I couldn't play it again.

    Final Fantasy X and VII, I liked X the most because of it's great story and characters, I also liked the battle system of that and VII because it had one of the saddest scenes in Final Fantasy, and the fact that I leveled up with that character and all my work was for nothing the moment she was killed.

    FFXII for me, I personally liked the battle system it used.

    VII is a definate close second and then X, both had awesome storylines.
