Fate...what is it?...

Guys, stay on topic.

As for fate, I don't think it exists. I think we all forge our own ways in life, and God, if there really is one, doesn't play a part in it.

If there was a God, and he controlled our fate, then why would there by tyrants and dictators causing people harm?

 

That's just causality really. Fate is more solid in that you had no say in the action you took or the reaction that occurred afterwards.

Do you think that souls (if there are souls) have a certain way they look? Like would we look the same if we didn't have bodies and we only saw the soul

 

Maybe that should go in the discussion about the soul. It's around here some where.

 

well....i certainly believe that there is a fate or destiny. but i don't think it's concrete, u can certainly change ur fate and destiny but it always seems to guide us somewhere in the future. i've noticed everything comes together after a while and it'll show u wat u should do in the future. sry, i kno i'm not making lots of sense, but if u experience this urself, u'll know wat i'm talking about

 

I don't believe in fate. Everything that you don't control is based on the decisions of others, natural laws, or truly random acts. I don't think anything controls the random acts, but I won't put that entirely out of the picture. Even so the other two categories should hinder the capabilities of that. And as for the god debate, my belief is that we have control over our actions but god, satan, and society can all influence them.

 

well...yea, i believe they have SOME sort of influence (that is, if they even EXIST) but i believe we are the ones with the final verdict of our fates. but i believe there is some unseen force acting on our lives, and guiding them in some way. no clue as to wat the unseen force is, but i believe there is a fate/destiny, it's just not something written in stone.
