annexandria nodded. "yeah. black mage. your skills would definitely be best used fighting the earth monster, but mine would probably be best used against the fire and ice. i just don't want to head to the same place as everyone else." she sat there atop jasper's back thinking for a minute. "ya' know, there's something i've always wanted to try before. hold out your weapon."

Rath raised an eyebrow upon her request, curious about what she had in mind. Figuring that the only way to find out was to do as she said Rath reached towards his back and gripped his sword handle. Drawing out the blade Rath held the blade out for her

anna closed her eyes and focused on the image of the blade. she placed her hands together in a ball shape leaving room between her palms. alex thought about fire, burning red in the empty space and on the blade. she could feel her hands heating up as the fire grew between her palms and opened her eyes. as she continued to think more about the fire growing larger she opened her hands and directed it towards the blade. alex opened her mouth to say an incantation as the flames engulfed the sword. "cantisima" the flames died down but continued to surround the blade without touching it.
"wow...i can't believe i actually did it. i mean i've heard stories, but to actually do it. and to get it to stick...two completely different things. cantisima is a containment spell. i've never been able to accurately make an element hold on another object."

Rath held up the blade and looked up at the fire surrounding it. He was still stunned that the sword was still able to hold the flame without the blade being damaged "amazing" Rath said staring up at it and then looked over at Anna "wait a minute you said you were testing this...does that mean if you failed I would have been left swordless" Rath said and sighed "whatever...as long as it works. This way we have a good chance against the ice demon" Rath said with a small smile

anna chuckled. "no, no, no. it would just have gotten really hot and the fire would have burned out. you make have dropped it on the ground because of how hot it got but that's about it." she grabbed the reigns with her good hand and sat up straight. "it would definitely be good. hopefully you'll let me try out other elements in the future." annaxandria looked at her handiwork in the hands of rath. "i suppose i should put it out now. incentia." the flame slowly began to disappear.

Once the flames dispersed from his sword Rath twirled his sword and sheathed it behind his back once more and smiled "alright then I say our next destination will be the tower where the ice demon dwells. After that we can work on our new spell blade technique and move on to either the Fire or Earth demon's tower" Rath said planning out their course of action

anna nodded. "sounds good to me." she pulled out the map she had of the area and studied it for a minute. "all right, we need to head this way and work around the woods." annexandria pointed off towards the left and then made the clicking sound signalling jasper to walk. he headed off in the direction she referred to.
