Far From Final

Victora smiled as she took the man's hand. Too easy... And in doing so I found someone to fight alongside me. Lucky day. When she got to her feet and had cleaned herself from all tears she looked over to the newcomer while contining to smile. Having missed his last comment she didn't find herself offended. "And what of introductions?" She asked, looking back and forth between the two.

 

Hana raised an eyebrow as she looked at the new comer, "Okay...mind telling us who you are?"

 

"I'm Ren and sorry if I was being abrupt". He said "It's just that someone had hired me to take care of them and I'm going to need help doing it"

 

Joan's eyes wandered around, every once in a while turning to look over her shoulder to see Welk getting farther and farther away. Guess there's no turning back now. The area was quiet and all she could hear were her faint footsteps against the soil beneath her. Every once in a while, she'd hear the sound of a stick snapping, causing her to suddenly come to a halt and look around. Why am I getting paranoid?! Joan huffed out, clenching her hands into fists and looking down at the ground. "There's a tower...in the center, I think," she muttered lowly, raising her eyes slightly to peer off into the distance. "I don't see it." A low sigh escaped her lips as she began walking once again, but this time at a quicker pace. "I guess I'll see it when I'm closer."

 

"What? Join?" Crow was caught off guard. He had simply wanted the one called Abel to go with the girl and leave a horse behind for him to take. He thought for a moment and squeezed one eye shut. He moved away from Abel and punched his hand, grinning. "Sure, why not? These monsters won't know what hit them!" He yelled. He let his bare hand go and pointed to his chest with his thumb. "The name's Gangryong. Fox Gangryong, and don't you forget it!" He pointed to Abel as he said it. "But you two can call me Crow," he said, still grinning. He offered no explanation to his strange name and just stood there, the biggest grin on his tan face.

Cold steel touched the back of Vincent's head, quickly followed by a click. "You can't find companions if you're dead, mate," Damian said in his deepest voice possible. He narrowed his eyes and put on his most serious and intimidating face he could. His left hand was holding the gun completely steady to Vincent's head and his thumb had pulled back the hammer. His right hand was behind his waist, holding his other gun in place. He knew he might have just started a scene and wondered if anybody had started to stare at him yet. "What makes you think you can find these monsters?"

 

As his curiosity got the best of him Rath turned his attention over to the man with the gun. Looks like teaming up might be out of the question Rath thought to himself and glanced over at the gun wielder's guns. A gunslinger...not much of those around as guns are rare and for him to have two of them make him more deadly. Rath pondered to himself and crossed his arms and leaned against his chair, his feet below his table. There was not much he could do besides watch the encounter take place

 

"Hired you?" Hana asked intrigued, "You mean you decided to take up the challenge to slay these demons like everyone else?" She said, she glanced at Ash as if to ask what she thought. Hana figured having another person team up with them wouldn't be a bad thing, if he didn't get too annoying and pulled his weight though it was also Ash's choice now. They'd also need to get another horse if he came along, Blaze couldn't carry all three of them, well at least for as long at the pace they needed.

 

Feeling the cold steel of barrel press down on the back of his head, Vincent continued to nonchalantly drink his ale, not the least bit fazed of the danger behind him. "To answer your question, I know where three of those eights monsters have attacked so far. Chances are that each of them has taken shelter close to the places that they attacked," said Vincent while keeping a calm and cool demeanor. "Now I think you should know that keeping a gun this close to an enemy can make it easier for them to do something like this." Making a quick turn to the left, Vincent grabbed the gun by the barrel with his left hand and snatched it from the man's hand before he could pull the trigger while he grabbed his jug with his right hand and swung it to splash what was left of his beverage onto the man's face. Dropping the jug on the floor, Vincent quickly put his index finger on the gunslinger's forehead like it was the barrel of a gun and with a smile starting to form on his face, he said,"Don't let the sword fool you; I can also burn you to a crisp."

 

Ash noticed her new teammate and jerked back out of her memories as she asked her a question. "Hmm? Oh, well...the more the better. I don't think those monsters are going down easily. I suppose I'll have to buy a couple of horses for us. I wonder how much they pay...?" She drifted back into her thoughts as she walked, barely caring if the two kept up with her. She moved surprisingly quick for a woman who mearly casted spells.

 

A few forced tears and not only did she get a horse, but she got two partners that will surely make her journey easier. And by the looks of things this Abel was a freelancer, by the various weapons, and Crow didn't have any weapons. Was he a Monk then? Perfect. Now I will have time to cast my spells without being attacked... "And my name is Victora. It is a pleasure to meet the both of you. Really, cause who knows what I would of done if you had not come along when you did." Probably would of stolen a horse... But then I would be out there alone. "Well then, shall we get a move on?" She spoke with a smile, exicted to get things started.

 

Hana smiled at Ren, "Guess that means your in" She said before quickly leading Blaze after Ash. She grinned, impressed with her new team mate's speed, she'd race her if she wasn't leading Blaze and that also sorted the problem of horses.

 

Damian smiled as the man snatched his gun. Red mage, huh? Seems useful enough. He thought as he tilted his head. "Wonder what's faster, magic or bullets?" He asked. Click. The gun that was on the back of his waist was aimed at Vincent. Damian's right hand was still behind his waist, but now the gun was in place and aimed. "No worries, though, mate, I'm just glad you passed the test!" Damian's serious aura was completely gone as he grinned. "I'm looking for companions, too, ya know? Fighting demons ain't easy, but I wanted to make sure I was with someone capable. You fit the bill, alright," he told Vincent. To show that he meant no harm, he released the hammer of his second gun and slowly placed it on the counter of the bar. "What do you say? Shall we be companions?"

Even though Crow's plan was to simply take one of Abel's horses by convincing him to ride with the girl, the country-raised monk had no qualms with traveling alongside them. However, he did have reservations about sharing a horse. He patted Abel on the back in the same manner Abel patted him, although with much more force. "You and the pretty girl can ride together!" He said in a hurry. "I sweat easy, trust me, you don't want to be riding with me. I'll start smelling!" He told Victoria as serious as he could.

 

ooc - Omg I totally noob'd out here. It's Victora in this rp, not Vanessa. I'm going to go edit all of that and then come back to this post to edit in an ic post. Majorly embarrassed....*dies*


Victora nodded, picking up that he'd rather be left alone. "Well then, guess I shall be riding with Abel then." Victora took his hand to help herself on the horse. She slightly cringed upon getting on, realizing that she has never rode a horse before in her entire life. Well...shall be an interesting expirence... She thought while looking about her, hoping that the horse wouldn't freak out and send them both flying. "With all of the hype," she started, her voice kind of low now, "I forgot to ask where do you plan on heading first."

 

Rath sighed as he saw the sudden grin of the gunslinger "how boring I was expecting a fight" Rath muttered quietly in disappointment as he watched the two men come to an agreement. Losing his interest, Rath he looked over at his map and the circles written on the map "alright then, I have decided" Rath calmly said. As he folded up him map and put away, Rath stood up and picked up the halberd and sword beside him and placed it on his back. Tightening the gloves on his hands, Rath headed toward the door

 

"A forest? What the hell?" Crow asked as he jumped on the horse effortlessly. He had learned how to ride horses long ago. He could not take care of animals, but he knew how to handle them. "How does that even happen?" He asked Abel as he pulled his horse near Abel's and Victora's. "Those monsters can't do something like that, right? That's crazy." As they walked through the streets, he thought about what he knew about the so-called Demons. He realized he knew nothing at all. This might be fun, then, he thought to himself.

 

A forest... But is that even possible? She gulped as she thought just how hard this was going to be. But no matter, she wasn't in it to fight these demons. All she wanted was to be reunited with her love, then the two of them could go home. And perhaps on the way she could strengthen her abilities. If I don't die first... Victora shook her head clear of those thoughts. "Do you know how did that happen exactly?"

 

"Well I guess today's my lucky day, isn't it," said Vincent as the serious atmosphere between the two started to clear up. "And you almost had me going there too. The name's Vincent Alera. What's your name?" asked Vincent with a smile on his face.
